Thank you for staying with us while in Ruidoso. We look forward to your return. We are glad you enjoyed the cabin and all the things Ruidoso has to offer. I do apologize for the heat running nonstop. It had been fixed and we didn't know you were uncomfortable while you were here. We would have been happy to come take a look at it so that you were able to sleep better. We have been over there a couple of times and the heat has worked great and shut off when needed. I'm not sure why it got so hot while you were here.

Thank you for staying with us while in Ruidoso. I am very sorry you were dissatisfied with your stay. Knotty Pine is located in a residential area of Ruidoso called Upper Canyon. Yes, there are neighbors on all sides, however most of the people staying in those cabins are also nightly renters. We have little to no issues with people running into each other or disturbing the peace. The road that Knotty Pine is on is not busy by any means. Yes, you will have a car drive by every once in a while, but it's not constant like the main roads here in Ruidoso. There is a sidewalk that leads to the hot tub, that might have had pine needles and a couple of sticks on it, but there are no bushes or brush near the sidewalk. The hot tub is on the side of the cabin, sitting between the cabin and the privacy fence next door. In the future if you are unsatisfied with the cabin, please allow your hosts the opportunity to reconcile the problem. We have over 50 cabins in the Ruidoso area, and we might have been able to move you to a little more secluded cabin.

Janie, why would you post this and not let us know anything about this issue that you speak of? We have had at least 6 groups of people in and out of that cabin since you left. Not one complaint. This is something that unfortunately happens to the best of us and we do not take it lightly. It’s not really fair for you to stay 5 nights and not mention one thing to our staff! There is zero proof or communication during or after your stay from you regarding this. We will definitely address your complaint today to confirm either way, but this is a bully tactic and just strait unfair. We are a small business doing the best we can. How would we know if we aren’t told?! We don’t sleep in the beds! We take every precautions and measure to prevent and minimize this scenario. We use memory foam mattresses, which they cannot survive in AND zippered bedbug covers on pillows and mattresses so they cannot burrow. This usually allows us to notice right away if someone has brought them in with them. To our future guests, please notify someone immediately if you ever encounter this or any other problem. We are not some scum Lord. We put our heart and soul into our business and hope that every guest enjoys their time in their home away from home. Please, I implore you. Don’t stay somewhere for 5 nights and not say anything until you write a terrible review about something you don’t even know is fact. We had the cabin professionally inspected. NO sign, whatsoever. Anyone who would like that report, feel free to request it.
