The property is super close to the Village. A short few min. bus ride, or about a 12-min. walk. The driveway fits two cars comfortably, 3-4 if you park on the slope. The Garage also fits a car or two (if you must be out of the elements).
There is a covered porch & mud room to take off all of your stuff before getting in the house.
The main living room has a piano, sofas, recliners & fireplace along with TV for socializing.
The Kitchen is large (with a bathroom & laundry off to the side), with tons of counter space, fully stocked with tools, cutlery, plates, glassware, wine glasses, etc. to cook. All you need is food & beverage from a store close-by, we suggest Raley's One Market, way closer than Safeway on Donner Pass Rd.
Kitchen Table fits 8 comfortably.
The Backyard has a bench to sit on, a Weber BBQ that works great. Please note, there is a small water feature (just to the right as you exit the slider) that is hidden under the snow in winter. If your little ones are playing around, they might find themselves with some wet feet LoL, don't ask me how I know ;-)
The Master suite is very large & spacious, with a remote-control auto-temp fireplace. The bathroom is huge & you can close the door of & have both privacy & quiet from the rest of the house.
Upstairs there is another bathroom - a kid’s room, with two singles & a pull-out trundle.
Then there is another larger room with a King adjacent to the kid’s room.
The top floor is finished off with a loft, with L-Shape, sofa bed? & a small TV to keep the kids busy & another sleeping option.
There is a reading area at the other end, to catch up on a good book.
The owner was awesome, communicates well, well organized, gives you plenty of information & instructions, also including a folder at the house for easy reference.
Also, there is a Rec center for kids & adults up off of the NorthStar village. There are hot Jacuzzis operating in the winter, a pool (closed in the winter), Gym, playground, game room with at least 4 free games (table tennis, air hockey etc.) & 4 paid games (car racing, Pac man etc.), some prize pull machines & a bill to coin machine for the arcades.
Dining options are available in the NorthStar village (a short bus trip), there is a Starbucks up there too. There are also some good restaurants nearby (10+ min.) via car.
We had a blast, the house worked out perfectly!
