We rented two units (6 bedrooms) for our extended family - - 8 adults, 4 children, 1 infant -- and stayed for a week.
Pros: spotlessly clean, walking distance to grocery stores, helpful receptionist. Everything in the units was in working order. Door code makes for easy entry. Beds were very comfortable. Kids liked seeing the trains go by! There is extra street parking just a block or so away. Convenient for enjoying the walking trails through Canmore.
Cons: These are short-term rental units. They are not someone's vacation home, so there are none of the extras often found in a VRBO -- no books, games, spices, etc. Cooking equipment was minimal, just barely adequate. Two of the three bedrooms in each unit have no closet, just a few hooks on the wall. Communication with the owners was poor -- I send two messages through VRBO asking about extra parking spaces and never got a response. The AI Chatbot said there were no cribs, portacribs, or high chairs at the units, so we brought our own, but then we saw the cleaning staff moving a portacrib into another unit.
All in all, it was a satisfactory stay, but with a few inconveniences.
