Beautiful setting

The wood burner and fire pit were highlights and having a cellar door next door was nice. The complimentary wine was a much appreciated touch. The house was very tired and parts weren't particularly clean, but we had a lovely stay. Some of us were a bit cold at night in bed, so some extra blankets/heating would be nice. The airconditioning unit was ancient and very noisy. The place could do with an upgrade, especially for the expense. I would choose something next time that is better value for money.

Rustic getaway from the city

We loved the location, the kangaroos on the property and beautiful sunsets. The house owners were extremely friendly and we took quite a bit of their lovely wines home. The house itself is a bit dated and there were many cobwebs around. Overall everyone enjoyed themselves.

Awesome mini break

Friendly owners, lovely eclectic property. The wood burner and fire pit were great and having a Cellar Door a few steps away with excellent wines was brilliant. The complimentary wines and oil/vinegar also added a personal touch to the stay. Being pet friendly was also a bonus. Will definitely stay again.

Well maintained property as advertised with lovely views

Plenty of space, beautiful outlook. Loved the location, cellar door next door and lovely hosts. My only regret was not checking in for a longer stay. Two nights wasn't enough! We will be back. Thank you.

Property needs a lot of tender loving care and a good clean

Place was very large and therefore great size for the six of us. BUT for the amount of money paid the place is in need of a lot of care. The bathroom disgusting. The shower head kept falling down and (really) you can get a great shower head at Bunnings for less. The air conditioner in the kitchen very poor and the air conditioner in large sitting room did not work. So was very cold - thank god for the wood fire. The whole place needs a good clean, and updating. In one bedroom- only one power point ( behind a bed ) iand no lamps - so couldn’t even read in bed. Overall very disappointing for the amount of money. So I wouldn’t recommend unless the place had a good basic clean up, new furniture, repainted and definitely bathrooms renovated.

Perfect property for a relaxing getaway

Claremont Cottage was a beautiful and memorable property that contributed to an amazing getaway in the Hunter Valley. Location is super convenient and practical and the hosts were extremely helpful, attentive and polite. A great accommodation for a large group of people with plenty of space to relax and not feel crowded. Would definitely stay again.

Great Accommodation

??We had the pleasure of staying at Claremont Cottage for 3 nights. It is not easy finding accommodation to sleep 10 people comfortably but the cottage was perfect. There was plenty of space and great outdoor areas which we would have spent most of our time at. The views were fantastic the pool was clean the property was clean all in all we would be more than happy to stay here again.

Gorgeous Property - Highly Recommended!

The photo's on the website honestly don't do this place justice! It was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. We had a group of 8 ladies stay here for a hens weekend in Jan 2016 and they absolutely loved it. The entire house was kept really tidy. We particularly loved the massive outdoor entertaining area, was nice sitting out there overlooking the beautiful valley sipping on some wine :) Special note to the staff too, we had a few questions over the weekend about our accommodation and they were very helpful and prompt. I'd highly recommend Claremont Cottage to any of my friends or family, gorgeous property!
