The Sundae Cottage is a cozy, secluded getaway for anyone looking for a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With a King master bedroom, a guest room that contains a queen Murphy bed, and two standard lofts, and in the living room a queen sleeper sofa and twin sleeper chair, our cozy cottage can accommodate up to 11 guests. Guests have access to all rooms in the cottage and will especially enjoy the wonderful views, both indoors and out. One can expect to see a variety of wildlife, such as quail, deer, and turkey, all while sitting in the comfort of the dining room or from the porch swing.
The Sundae Cottage is situated just down the road and across the creek from our larger property, the Tin Roof Sundae Cabin. Our property is located in north central Missouri, 6 miles east of Marceline, Missouri, just off State Highway WW. Nestled atop a hill with views of surrounding timber, grasslands, and native habitat - it's a natural "sweet spot" for those who love being outdoors. Guests have access to over 700 acres and are welcome to hike backcountry trails, explore the creeks and streams, fish the ponds, and view the wildlife.

We came to Marceline for a relatives wedding. The property was central to all of our activitiesfor the weekend. A very nice place to relax between events.

Loved the relative quiet with inspiring views from the deck, the tv room, the dining area, the master bedroom! This home is 50 yards or so off a quiet blacktop road and is nestled in what appears to be a conservation easement. Beautiful pond and valley views and hostess was so engaging and eager to make sure every detail was perfect. Excellent property!!!

Perfect place to get away

This was the perfect place for a dad / daughter weekend. The house was wonderful, the outside even better. We spent hours outside enjoying the views, star gazing, sitting by the pond, it was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Escape from the city

It far exceeded the description. We were looking to get out of the city for a few days and this was the perfect place for getting away. We wanted a place that was quiet and away from the noise of the city.

Livia is terrific host -- this place is GREAT! We loved staying there and would dearly love to go back. Although our weekend went by fast, time seemed to stop at the same time. Thank you for such a special weekend!

Nothing but HONESTY 😊🤗

We first want to say this, all this is our first time...We feel we should give it another chance. So not giving it a 5star or less than a 4.We had issues but they can all easily be fixed. The issues we had were.. The link, address we put in didn't take us to the Property. There is No sign at the Drive way as it was stated in add. We were unable to enjoy the outside due to the high Grass, and weeds in yard and around pond. The path to Dock was over grown. It was being taken care of Saturday ( We were gone all day), but being there, Since Thursday night - Sunday check out 10:00 a.m. It was a bummer. We couldn't find Coffee or Creamer .. It's in the Freezer 😂 never did find the pepper! 😕 . A list of things and where they are would be nice. They do have laundry soap, bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. 😊 Salt and pepper is an iffy. Know that before you Check out! there is a chore list that consist of stripping beds, starting laundry, taking trash out and taking to dumpster up the road, all dishes need to be washed and no food.. I'm telling you this incase someone is handicapped and isn't able to do all this and checked out by 10am. Now in saying all that.. the house is Beautiful, the hostess is kind, the view is out of the world. The things I've talked about aren't huge really. I guess this is how it is straight across the board.

Peace and serenity, 10 minutes from town

Wow!!! This cottage and it’s location is perfect if you’re looking to get away from the city for some peace and quiet. We spent 8 nights here and didn’t want to leave. Sitting outside in the evenings, watching the sun go down and the deer in the fields was very relaxing. The cottage is stocked with everything that we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back.

Love this place

This cottage is calm, peaceful, secluded and comfortable. Has everything you need plus some. Plenty of space to spend time together and also quiet spaces to read. This was our second stay and we will go back again.

Awesome Place

We had an amazing time with beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed the evenings on the deck listening to the animal sounds, lightening strikes brightening up the skies, animal sounds all around us. We could not have asked for a nicer stay. Kitchen was well stocked and we loved the quirky little nooks and crannies filled with nostalgia. Loved the outdoor space!

Our family enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Cottage. Tbe beds, bathrooms, living space and kitchen were clean, tidy and cozy for our stay inside. However , we spent our time hiking the pasture trails, playing in the creek, fishing the pond and enjoying the sun on the porch. This was the highlight for our family. We brought most of our supplies we our trip, but noted the amply supply of kitchenware, boardgames, grill. We loved our secluded stay here!

Beautiful comfortable stay!

What a wonderful property! We enjoyed hiking with the dogs, listening to the turkeys at night, admiring the view from the large windows overlooking fields and the hilly tree-line. The property was just as described. The house was well thought out with more than expected amenities, great towels and sheets. We grilled out back one night and loved every minute. It was just as good with one notable exception. The property has hunting allowed on it now. I am now concerned to go due to errant gunfire or my 70lb dog to be mistaken.

HOUSE WAS JUST LIKE ADVERTISED. LIVIA WAS VERY GOOD-HONEST THAT THE OVEN WAS NOT WORKING, BUT GOT IT FIXED WHILE WE WERE THERE. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!

Peaceful Hideaway

This property is awesome! We had a great stay. Enough room to stretch out and enjoy the views while still being in ear shot from each other. Beds were super comfy. Kitchen has every thing we needed to cook a couple meals. We didn't get to utilize the outdoor space because it was cold but are hoping next trip that will be different. The only negative thing we have to say about it is the cleanliness off the place. At first glance it does look clean but as we continued our weekend we noticed things that we feel should have been taken care of. Like inside if the microwave was disgusting, we cleaned it though. Bath tub had dog hair in it (not from our dogs). Trash from previous guests under the sink around the trash can. Something nasty on the floor between. The couch and love seat. Many dirty dishes in cabinet which is not necessarily the host fault but maybe should have been check on by housekeeping. These are not things that would keep us from coming back, just things we would like to see improved on our next visit because we will be back!!

Beautiful Cabin and Setting

Awesome! The cottage was more spacious than it looked online, especially the spare bedroom, lots of space. Clean, comfortable, everything we needed plus some. I have never stayed anywhere that the fridge was stocked with condiments, coffee, etc. Kitchen was well stocked with all we needed. The views from every side of the cottage were just beautiful. The weather was cool in the evening so we did not get to enjoy the huge deck as much as we would have liked. We have friends in a nearby town and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend the Marceline Pizze Co. as well as this cottage!

House was beautiful. We spent half our time in the sunroom and half our time in the swing. The breeze blew up the valley. The deck was hot in the morning, but cooled off by evening. The problem we had was finding it. It is listed as New Cambria, but actually is Marceline.
