This place is a gem! Everything feels new and so clean. Each apartment has a private deck with use of a BBQ. The family who built and owns this place are quick to reply to any questions. The beds are comfortable, towels and bedding look and feel clean and fresh. The bar upstairs is lots of fun. And there's food too! Our group of 2 adults and 4 teenagers were comfortable. We did bring an extra blow up mattress because teenage boys don't want to share. But the 4 queen beds are nice and comfortable. The location is amazing and you're just a few minutes walk from the hot springs, pools, massages, restaurants, stores, etc.

Booked 2 nights here for our family. Arrived in the evening, climbed the stairs to our room, and were subjected to rude, snide comments from the open-air bar above our room. Used our personalized key code to get into our "santuary" only to find the room had not been cleaned since the previous guests were there. Dirty floor, dirty sheets on the beds, bathroom dirty, uncleaned, dirty towels. Contacted our host who was onsite. We verified dates and room. He left, came back with Swiffer and a few cleaning supplies. Said he'd have it cleaned quickly and asked which beds we would like made. Like asking which part of the room we want cleaned! I said we want the whole room cleaned, so he offered a different room. In the meantime there are still drunk people above us, and lots of people going up and down the stairs beside the rooms. He let us into another room, but in looking around a few details made us wonder just how clean this other room really was. We were so uncomfortable with the atmosphere, lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. It had been a long drive, we were tired, hungry, and in despirate need of a CLEAN bathroom so we left. Were told by host we had to seek a refund through the third-party we had booked through (Expedia)but at the time could only find e-mail contact info. Eventually (a week later) were told the owner would not refund anything, not even the cleaning deposit!! This owner lacks accountability and integrity.Not a family place.Our first and last VRBO!

We loved the large private deck - especially at night. The deck could use a bit more shade, and the fire pits and grills were not working. There's no management on duty at all so we were unable to acquire additional clean towels or an extra blankets during our 3 night stay. No ice machine. The hike up the hill from main street is quite a hike, so people might want to take Elm street instead - and more shelving and storage for clothing would be nice. Also, my 5 year old could not reach the kitchen sink in order to brush his teeth (it's the only sink available). The bar at the top was closed for construction, though a group of local kids did climb the ladder to the very top one night during our stay (dangerous!). The large window in the back of the unit at street level felt vulnerable so we kept the curtains closed the entire time...it would have been better in the front where the view is - also the power turned off 3 times during our stay because there's too many things hooked up to one breaker. We had to move the beds to flip the breaker each time. We would stay here again just for the private deck space. Overall good, just some suggestions!

Lovely place, walkable to everything

The room was perfect for a quick weekend getaway - walkable to all the main attractions. The bar was one floor above our room but wasn’t really noisy once we were inside with the door shut. Room had large private patio - great for entertaining

Beautiful view of lava hot springs

We enjoyed a 3 night stay in the heart of lava hot springs. It was the perfect temperature inside when it was cold and windy day outside. It is a great location and view of the town. Beds were comfortable. Keep in mind the only sink for bathroom is also used for the dishes. We got creative with our meals without a stove or oven. It was nice to have a full-size fridge. We would stay here again in the future.

Great!

Great place to visit! We were tight below the bar and didn’t even hear it. It was a little bothersome to have to parade little kids through a drunken crowd to get to our room. There was someone right on our patio smoking. And parking sucked. But overall, it was nice and clean and comfy.

Very Nice

It was a great place to stay. Everything is within walking distance to the hot pots and tube rentals. Close to great restaurants and bars. There is a bar located on top and we were directly underneath. We couldn't hear the noise from above when in the room. Very nice stay!

Manager Blasts Music & Heavy Construction

The manager should not have been renting this property without informing potential renters that he was framing out a bathroom right next door. There was hammering and banging all day long and they kept blasting music in the afternoon while my baby was napping. It was a giant speaker right next door to the property door. The space is nice and it was clean but the noise and lack of consideration for those who’ve paid to stay there was ridiculous.
