To start out, I want to say we had a great time for our stay, the beach and the pools were a lot of fun and renting everything was easy. However, upon arrival to our unit I immediately noticed it smelled like cigarette smoke. The facility is said to be entirely smoke free but it was overwhelming. I sent a message to the staff and she said they’d look into it. I didn’t hear back and sent another message and said something to the front desk the next morning. Still nothing so I made a comment when we were leaving and she said a manager would reach out. Someone from their “leadership” team did reach out after I emailed again when I got back and all of my children’s laundry also smelled of smoke. She tried to tell me that housekeeping went by and didn’t notice anything or that it could be the air freshener they have in that building?? No air freshener smells like cigarette smoke. They didn’t offer anything beyond an “I’m sorry” despite the fact that I was assured through their rental agreement that all units are smoke free. Ultimately it was just disappointing.
