Home was decorated for Christmas, with two beautiful decorated trees, little decorative details of Christmas mementos. It felt so welcoming for our Christmas stay! The home was beautiful with the cozy warm front porch to watch the snow fall. The dining room table that fit us all for our meals. And comfortable beds to lay our heads after a long day. Perfect location to walk to the water or just read and watch from the front porch.

The property was perfect for our group of 8. Loved staying in such a convenient and well equipped home.If we return to Clayton we’d love to stay in this home again. The sunny enclosed front room was our fault gathering place.

Fantastic location for Downtown

We stayed here for the Antique and Classic Boat Society show at the Antique Boat Museum. The house worked perfectly for our group and the hosts were responsive to all our needs and offered up their local knowledge. Older home as expected but well kept and clean. Overall great experience, thanks for hosting

Such a charming and cozy old house with lots of character! The renovated kitchen and bathrooms are modern and beautifully done, which made our stay super comfortable. We especially loved the cute little patio — perfect for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening. The location is great too — convenient and close to everything we needed

Beautiful house and in a great location. Walking distance to downtown. Host was very accommodating. Only complaint was that the front door does not lock. Would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our week stay! Home is central to so many things within walking distance. We chose it since we were attending a wedding at the harbor hotel and could walk there. Nice area.

Perfect Spot

This was a perfect place in Clayton, NY. So close to the town and the river. We didn’t have to drive anywhere - everything within walking distance. The house is adorable. Plenty of space to hang with friends when it was too rainy to go out. The kitchen was a bit tight space wise but had everything we needed for breakfast and lunch. The bedrooms were great. Beds extremely comfortable. House is older so a bit creaky but in great condition. 21/2 baths were all very nice. Front porch so nice to hang out on in between activities. Great fire pit in the back for evenings. Never had to contact property management for anything. Perfect spot for our girls weekend! We will def stay again if we come back. Thank you!!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was great and beds super comfy… The outside hasn’t been kept up enough to sit outside on the patio, but the porch was great. FYI - the floors are very loud and creaky and so if you have people who get up at night or wake early, I’d plan on bringing sound machines. Be prepared for high cleaning and guest service fees added to your rate!

Fishing trip

This house was absolutely perfect for us. It was 7 guest and we all had plenty of room for everyone. I would highly recommend staying at this house as it is just a block away from downtown and so convenient. The neighbors welcomed us as soon as we pulled in the driveway and was so nice we even became Facebook friends…lol We brought 3 trucks with boats and the only thing was we didn’t have enough parking room but not a problem at all because the neighbors give us information about where we could park ( which was 1 block away ) and was absolutely perfect for us. We are already planning a trip back next year and will most definitely be staying in this house again. Absolutely love this area. Thanks

Quiet walkable neighborhood

This is an older home that has been redone. Stairs are a little steep and original wood floor is uneven upstairs. We knew we would be sightseeing, so didn’t spend a lot of time during the day there. Quiet in evenings so we all got good sleep.

Clayton Family Wedding

The house was perfect for us. It more than met our expectations. There were many extras provided that we didn’t plan (coffee, filters, sugar, Kleenex, etc.) All of the beds were comfortable and even had darkening shades on the bedroom windows. We were there for our niece’s wedding at The Harbor Hotel which was only a block away. Being able to walk to the Main Street in Clayton was great! Restaurants, shops and the beautiful St. Lawrence River at your fingertips. We would love to return and definitely would love to stay at your home again.

Wonderful property in the heart of Clayton

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Harbor House in downtown Clayton, NY. The home was very comfortable and fully furnished with all that we needed to make our vacation memorable! I especially appreciated the little touches throughout the house making our stay just like Home.

Idillic summer retreat

Loved staying at this lovely home, repurposed for vrbo guests. Exceptionally clean and well laid out. Very comfortable bedrooms and the living areas were more than satisfactory for our family gathering. We especially enjoyed the closed in porch for conversation and coffee. The location is in a quiet residential neighborhood but extremely close ( a few blocks) to most everything Clayton offers. Clayton is an adorable town with unique businesses catering to the vacationer and it sits directly on the St Lawrence River offering marvelous views and boating adventures. Highly recommended.

Wedding in the Thousand Islands

This property was PERFECT for our family when we spent a long weekend in Clayton, NY for my niece's wedding (July 3, 2023). The wedding took place at the Harbor Hotel which is a block and a half away from the house. Many guests stayed at the hotel - which is pretty pricey! We had 6 adults and really didn't want to spend $450/night per room. All the Clayton shops/restaurants are an easy 5-minute walk. This house is spacious, updated, well-appointed, and homey at the same time. The updated bathrooms are fantastic - including the right amount of hooks in all the right places! The local contact/property manager was super responsive, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Even the next door neighbors were friendly and welcoming. This is the first place I will book when returning to the area!

Family get together

Great home for a large family! Plenty of tableware, utensils and cookware. Dining table seats 12 comfortably. 2.5 bathrooms! Bedrooms nice, our grandkids especially liked the room with 2 double beds, they could all sleep together! Very charming, we will be back!

This home is just a couple blocks from the water and downtown. Enjoyed the old charm of the home. Comfortable beds, and a spacious living and dining room. My family had a wonderful time visiting Calumet Island, our childhood weekend vacation spot.

Perfect stay!

We had a great time in Clayton, and Jo & Bill were so kind reaching out ahead of our visit so everything was very smooth to check in. I stayed with my two small children and my three siblings , and we all agreed that whenever we needed a play to stay when returning to Clayton for more family trips we’d be checking to see if this property is available first thing! I missed the note that there is a pack n play and stroller at the house for guest’s use, but I think it’s great they provide that. Lots of games, cozy linens on the bed, and all kinds of niceties to make our stay enjoyable.
