Texas reunion

We had a wonderful couple of days at Dalgleish with our son, his wife and two teenage boys visiting from Texas. Everyone was impressed with the house and it's proximity to walks and tourist hotspots. The house offered everything for all age groups and there was nothing more we could have asked for. Highly recommended and would love a second visit.

Our stay at Dalgleish Character Mountain Cottage was honestly perfect. The place was spotless – super clean and so well set up. As soon as we walked in, everything we needed was already there: heated blankets, heaters, TV, towels, linen, even extras like a hairdryer and diffuser. Literally the only things you need to bring are your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo/conditioner — they’ve got everything else, including plenty of toilet paper.The house is super spacious and cozy, with two bathrooms and four toilets which was such a bonus! The kitchen is a bit on the smaller side, so just keep that in mind if you’re planning to stay with more than 5 people — it can feel a little crowded. But otherwise, it was perfect for us.One thing to note: there’s no Wi-Fi, but we called ahead and brought our own internet, so it wasn’t an issue. The TV isn’t a smart TV, but there’s a DVD player and a whole collection of movies and shows to enjoy, which was a cute touch.The location was also really convenient — close to shops and just a few minutes from the Christian Centre, which was the main reason for our visit. The photos online don’t do it justice. It looks small and a bit dated in pictures, but it’s actually much bigger and better in person.10/10 stay. No problems at all. Would definitely come back!

Elegant Retreat.

The property was good in almost every aspect. A lovely old style house with all modern conveniences. Location was ideal for our purposes. Manageable for a disabled person. Well equipped for 6 adults (other than a lack of storage space for clothes in one bedroom). Weather did not permit the enjoyment of the garden settling. We would stay there again.

Great location with the cottage having an earthy relaxed feel to it. If I had to nit pic I would have liked a bigger screen for the entertainment. Overall excellent!

Lovely location, big house

Plenty of room for a whole family. Lovely underfloor heating, gas fire was great!!! A few maintenance issues. Led light falling out, exhaust fan filters fell out, all the locks on windows are all different and windows hard to open etc, house needs some work and a spring clean. We fixed the hose whilst there as we needed to use it. All in all, things that can be easily done. In an old house, there are always maintenance issues. Would we stay there again??? Yes...👌👌. Thank you!!!

Property chosen primarily for being listed for accessibility. That was disappointing and difficult cwith steps into the house, and bathroom without supporting railings. The house is lovely, but had I known of this I would have chosen elsewhere

Great holiday house!

We stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean, with modern bathrooms and kitchen and plenty of character throughout the house. I loved that the linen was included (and nice and clean too!). The location was very handy to the shops/restaurants in Katoomba and also within easy access of the walking trails.

We rented this house for a weekend - four adults and three children. It was perfect for us - plenty of space, lovely and warm. It had everything we needed.
