Oceanfront cottage in cape cod

We had a wonderful time. Lovely views from almost every room. Hearing the ocean waves to fall asleep by, was incredible.The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed.We want to already go back💕

The location is amazing with amazing views. The house was located centrally for us to make day trips to several towns - Chatham, Sandwich, Nantucket and Provincetown. We loved the wooden stairwell and walls in the living room. This is a typical Cape Cod home, however it needs some updates. The decks need some boards replaced. Several pieces of the deck furniture were broken. We wanted to open all the windows but several of them do not have screens. The red sofa needs to go - too many stains on it. Give this place a little TLC and it will be amazing! I think with some updates/replacements, this house would be a 5 star rating. As stated previously, the location and the views are amazing! Easy access to the beach too!

The house is charming obviously due to the location, but some issues need to be addressed if you want to continue this price point especially for an off season stay:The flooring in the first level was dirty (just have a gander under the couch to get an idea). I walked around barefoot and noticed this immediately. Maybe your housekeeper needs a pep talk.We found the dryer full of towels so we folded them and put them away.The slip covers on the dining chairs were filthy.That basement is an embarrassment, if you’re going to have guests accessing that basement, it would be best if weren’t such an awful mess.The furniture needs updating as it was THE most uncomfortable furniture I’ve encountered at a rental. The bed is real bad. You have a safety issue on the upper deck as you step out of the door across from the bathroom. There’s a rotted board that someone’s foot is going to go thru any day now. There was a few other soft spots but that one needs immediate attention.You also have a mold issue on that chaise near the bed upstairs (that’s why I covered it with a blanket).There needs to be some kind of fencing or something more than a few dead solar lights at the drop off to the “beach” and there were nails and screws in the sand along the side near the shed.I also had to go to Joblot to buy a few pans to cook with because of the condition and questionable cleanliness of your pans.The confusion of the staircase down to the beach is obvious from the guest book entries

Ocean view was beautiful but could not walk out on the beach directly from house….2 beaches a bit walking distance from the house. Lighting up front walkway and around house and back….especially around huge drop off to a cliff of rocks is extremely recommended

Great beach house

We had a good relaxing time at this house. Great location right on the beach. The home is older but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Very good restaurants nearby that had tasty oysters on the half shell for half off during happy hour. The beach is nice and clean with little traffic.

What an incredible view!

This home was a perfect fit for our family of six plus two dogs. The master suite on the second floor was extraordinary including the huge balcony with incredible views. We enjoyed this outdoor space and the few steps to the beach below.

Great location

We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the location was great. We celebrated my mom's 90 birthday in January and anticipated it would be cold. The heat worked well and we were comfortable. The owner was very helpful during check-in when we had issues getting in with the new front door lock. Overall everyone enjoyed the house. Reading the previous reviews, I agree the house needs a few updates especially at this price point. Window treatments, towels and there are more than two stairs at the front entry. Access to the beach is a long staircase, might not be best if guests have mobility issues. Overall, nice cottage and a super helpful host.

Great location Ocean front Great Master suite and bathroom Had to call host about getting key to enter Had to call host because the house needed cleaning and Nancy took care of both quockly !

Cape Cod

The house was right on the ocean and the view was absolutely beautiful. All the decor was Cape Cod and beach related and very cute. We had no need to communicate with the hose. I believe VRBO or Evolve gave us all the house rules. The beds were not very comfortable but our main issue was no blinds on the windows. We had to buy newspaper and tape to cover the windows in both bathrooms as we could see our neighbors and they could see us. Also the bedroom downstairs by the sitting area had broken blinds so we had to cover that window too. We did replace any Kleenex, paper towels, toilet paper etc. that we used. It was inconvenient to shower and have all towels used washed and dried by check out time at 11am. If being honest makes us bad VRBO guests, so be it.

Location, Location, Location!!!!

Pictures are deceiving- needs some TLC, but the location is beyond amazing! The king size bed upstairs needs to be replaced with a GOOD mattress- other 2 beds were fine! Also, screen on slider needs replacing- alot of windows did not have screens- we scrounged around and found some in closets, so we were able to put them in place!

Great spot

Pros: Excellent location. Lots of room inside. Short walk to 2 public beaches, a cool breakfast place, bars, ice cream shops, etc. Upstairs master bedroom and bathroom are enormous, downstairs bedrooms are small but serviceable. Second floor walkout deck. Plenty of seating inside and out. Amazing view from inside and outside. Direct access to semiprivate beach. Well equipped kitchen. Responsive host. Cons: Immediate surrounding area is very crowded, so not very private outside. Limited parking. House needs some work, particularly accessibility and safety. Dennisport beaches like a lot of the Sound beaches tend to be a little seaweedy and rocky. All in all, definitely worth it and we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Family Home

Had a wonderful time. Grandson loved the beach area to run and play. He loved chasing the waves. Great access to shopping, restaurants, etc. If you love early morning runs, walks, or biking, it is a great area. The Cape Rail Trail Access is not far from the house. Definitely would return to this beauty.

Seawatch stay

We enjoyed the location immensely. The interior (furnishings & decor) is dated, but has a kind of funky retro charm. Owner was incredibly responsive when we asked about an umbrella over the outside picnic table; when she confirmed that the old one had somehow vanished, she bought and installed a brand new one right away. Outdoor patio furniture was also clearly new (responding to last year’s critiques probably). Basement washer & dryer work well.

Wonderful location

Property was lovely as advertised. Oceanfront, clean, spacious. Nothing beats hearing the crashing waves at night on the upstairs bedroom patio. Highly recommended!

Comfortable Home, Beautiful Views

We just spent four days and had a wonderful time. Pet friendly is the only reason we were able to take this vacation. It was too cold to do more than walk on the beach, but there are new stairs down to the water from the shared boardwalk. It was chilly, so we spent most of our time indoors just loving the view. The balcony off the master bedroom was perfect for relaxing with a book. Will definitely be going back.

Location, location, location

The house was perfect for dogs. The beach and new steps to the beach were very nice. Lovely view. The house and property need some TLC. Lawn chairs were rusted and one plastic one was cracked, chipping paint, broken window blinds, toys and debris scattered in yard and caught on bushes. The outdoor torches on ground are all broken and non-working. I know it is early in the season and I picked up as much as I could reach. It was chilly and it took awhile to heat up, as some of the rooms are space heaters. Otherwise, house was comfortable and beach was lovely. loved the dog biscuits!! I do not understand about washing and drying all towels before leaving. I do understand having towels started in washer (that is what we require for our rental unit), but to dry them and put them all away. That is difficult with a 11 am checkout time.
