Awesome house and location

Well set out for a large family with 2 living spaces. Access to the beach was great and in an easy location to early shops. We would definitely stay here again.

Family time at Culburra

Great place with a great view. We loved watching and listening to all the birds flying all around the house. We even saw whales waving at us in the kitchen! Will be back!

A magic place on the beach

Absolutely beautiful property right on culburra beach. The house is gorgeous and modern. Could do with some fans for the hot nights (there are no ceiling fans), that would be our only suggestion.

Nice

Everything was nice but the only thing we had trouble with was the walk down to the beach from the property. It was a struggle for both my parents and my children as you had to walk between shrubs and it was also quite steep. The way wasn’t paved out properly. I wouldn’t recommend elderly to take the property as it would be a complete struggle to access the beach.

Family getaway right on the beach

The house was great for several families as there as plenty of space and options. Trampoline was a hit with the kids as was the easy proximity to the beach. Beach access would be difficult for less able persons. Bed comfort was ok (what you would expect from a holiday), however bunk beds in need of repair in order or be safe. TV and internet access was great and lots of toys and board games for the entertainment of all. Cleanliness wasn’t great on arrival, however not terrible either. No fans or air conditioning, which was ok as there is usually a nice sea breeze, however we didn’t have hot weather, so not sure what this would be like on a hot day. Overall a great family holiday. We would return 👍

Perfect beach holiday home

This home is the perfect spot for a beach holiday. The house is very spacious and well equipped. The front and backyard have lots of space and there is even a trampoline and plenty of toys to keep the kids entertained. The best part is the short track straight on to the beach behind the house. We’d highly recommend this holiday home and hope to return one day! However, unfortunately, the fly screens were still broken despite a review highlighting this from December, the dishwasher rack was also broken which made it a bit hard to use and the dryer had an out of order note on it which was a bit inconvenient. The owner should also be advised that a tree has come down in the backyard. Hopefully these things can be fixed up before too long to make the stay even more comfortable.

Beautiful house, but needs maintenance and cleaning

This is our second stay at this beautifully designed and fabulously located property. Sadly, in the intervening 3 months there has been quite a lot of maintenance which has not been kept up. Fly screens on the main sliding doors upstairs both broken, with lots of mozzies about. Broken blind downstairs. Louvre windows very dirty and covered in cobwebs. Kitchen cleanliness marginal. For the price, we really felt it should be better maintained. There was one small pedestal fan but given the western facing rear of the house this is not really enough. We also booked with 3pm checkin and 11am checkout but prior to arrival we were informed dit was now 4pm and 10am. With some negotiation the agency did relent and agree to the original terms but still annoying. All in all we would be reluctant to book this place again at this price unless these issues were clearly addressed. We notice from earlier reviews in the past couple of months that similar problems have been noted.

Distractions from our valuable family time

Oceanside 161 Marina Lane Culburra The 2nd June 2022 was planned as family time being together for a few days with my 86 year old father. Dad has terminal liver cancer with under 2 months to live. There were 4 generations of us spending time together with Dad being able to escape and sleep when he needed to. My sister and her sons were down from Brisbane; my daughter, her husband and 1year old; my husband and I and Dad from Sydney. My husband and son in law were joining us after work staying Friday and Sat nights only. Seven of us arrived on the Thursday afternoon. While we loved the house and location we were greatly disappointed that there were in fact only 4 bed rooms when the place was advertised as having 5 and accommodating 12 people. This was not ideal and this was our first disappointment. We also found an empty Cruiser bottle on the book shelf. Thursday night following dinner the dishwasher would not work. We tried again in the morning unsuccessfully. The last thing you want to do when away is manually wash dishes. I contacted Professional Holiday Homes and they sent out a handyman who discovered a rusty screw was preventing the door of the dishwasher from closing. Once he corrected this the dishwasher worked. This was the weekend we had the freezing blizzard winds from the south. The gas heater kept the upstairs area lovely and warm. On Friday afternoon there was no hot water for doing the dishes or have a shower and I could not light the gas heater. It was cold and my poor father wore his beanie, slippers and was rugged up with blankets barely keeping warm. Thinking the weekend was looming we needed this issue corrected. I spent some time on the Professional Holiday Homes website looking for who to call as there was no answer form their listed phone number. The second number was the recommended number to call but ‘unable to answer your call right now’ was the response. I then contacted the plumber on call and the female that answered said I would be up for a charge if I got them out which put me off. Thinking I should investigate further, I rang the last number listed, I had not yet called and it was the wonderful handyman. He came out and agreed that both large bottles were empty. He went away and returned with a small BBQ size gas bottle and we had hot water again. He was not able to get the gas heater to ignite at all and suggested I contact Professional Holiday Homes in the morning. On Saturday the Professional Holiday Homes offi

Lovely Spot

We went for our Nephews wedding and the house was great! Just sorry we couldn’t stay longer. Just a couple of things wrong, the dish washer didn’t work properly, would have liked to be able to turn on the beautiful chandelier in the stairwell, nowhere to hang clothes in the main bedroom, no towel rails to hang hand towels & no microwave.

Good Location. Needs some TLC

The house is in a fabulous location however it needs a really good spring clean and some basic maintenance. The bunk beds are not fit for purpose and very unstable. The children could not sleep safely on the top bunks. The kitchen cupboards and fridge are grubby. I communicated the issues with the manager and didn't get a response. For the money paid this is well below expectations. The house has no aircon so be aware of this when staying in Summer. Disappointing.

Beachfront bliss

House is in an amazing location with direct access to spectacular Culburra beach - walks on the beach with the dogs as the sun rose was our highlight! The house itself is large and modern and well equipped for the most part. It’s a little tired for such a new house and needs some maintenance - electrics blew in a rain storm, microwave didn’t work, only half of burners on BBQ worked, but didn’t really detract from a great week away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Conflicting checkin and chekout times & not clean BBQ & cookware

Our confirmation email had a checkin time of 3pm, when we arrived at 3pm the cleaners were still there and told us checkin wasn’t until 4pm. Our confirmation email had a checkout time of 11am, but the SMS the day before departure advised we had to be out by 10am. The BBQ and pans were very dirty and had to be cleaned before we could use them.

Family get together

A great house in a beautiful location with plenty of room for our 3 families. Very comfortable beds with good bedroom layout. Kitchen was large enough for a few people to work together and was well equipped. The three bathrooms were excellent, great layout with the separate toilet and extra basin and the provision of toiletries was appreciated. The downstairs living room was great for the children and the hot and cold outdoor shower was wonderful for rinsing sand off. House was very clean and well maintained but some minor maintenance outside on the broken deck chairs and the beach access steps is needed. We ended up using the beach access at the end of the street because of missing boards and uprights poking up through the sand. It was extremely hot and windy when we were there and the house has no air conditioning or ceiling fans, only one small pedestal fan which made one of the nights very uncomfortable. A second fridge downstairs to cater for large groups would also be good. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful house and location

absolute 5 star experience. The place has everything you need and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. Stunning location with the beach right behind the house. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay - already wanting to return next year.

Great quiet family time

Great spot for a quiet beach getaway, 2 families stayed there comfortably with 2 small dogs. Great relaxing house, the teenagers had their space and the adults had theirs.

fantastic location, beautiful house with all the comforts.. could be a tad cleaner BUT the overall stay was so awesome we all got over the slight clean factor. definitely would return, was a thumbs up from all the family especially kids..thumbs up all around!

Our name is Professional Holiday Homes and we aim to live up to the word “Professional” in everything we do. The formula for our properties is based on the award winning holiday homes created by our CEO.

Our approach to property management is that we want you to feel that the property is your own for a few days. As such we limit our communications to a few important emails, but otherwise we will leave you alone! If you are looking for a host that provides welcome platters on arrival, champagne in the fridge and who will contact you throughout your stay, we may not be the right host for you.

What you will get from us are well equipped, fairly priced, pet and family friendly holiday homes that are loved by their owners.

We work in a people business and very infrequently things go wrong - if this happens we will do our best to rectify the situation immediately. In busy periods it may take us a few hours to get to messages so picking up the phone is the fastest and best way for us to provide you with the support you need in an urgent situation.

As we are a licensed real estate agent you can be assured that all properties are fully insured, meet fire safety standards and are registered with NSW planning.
