The location and layout were great, but that's where the good stopped. I had read the previous review from October, 2020, and approached the owner about it. The owner insisted that the concerns were minor, and that they had been addressed.
We pulled up to the house, which is covered with mold/moss mildew, and had visibly broken window blinds. The housecleaners did not finish until 30 minutes after check in time. After our wait, we were ready for a drink. However, there was no ice, nor any ice trays to make ice. The kitchen also lacked oven mitts, 2 of the burners on the stove did not work, the multi-cooker had no pressure valve, and the 2 large cooking pots/pans were scratched and rusty. Also, the dishwasher leaks when running.
There were no instructions on how to use the gas fireplace, and the pool table and air hockey table are located in the garage, making it a real challenge to enjoy in the cold winter.
The bedrooms were a decent size. However, there was no heat available in the master bedroom. It looked like it was available, but there was no visible way to activate it. Also, the bed looked as if they had just sprayed the sheets and blankets with febreeze, and folded the blanket at the end of the master bed.
Also, the washing machine leaked, and there is evidence of significant longterm water damage wound the laundry area.
The owner responded to my concerns, but nothing was done about them. He did refund $100.00, but that barely covered the additional expenses we had to cover because of the basic necessities that this property lacked.
If the owner took just a little care, and had a manager/service to make sure the property was presentable and functional, it could be a top notch place, but I do not recommend that you spend any $$ to stay here until they do.
