Enjoyed our stay

The house was nice and clean, kitchen appliances were also modern and worked well. Beds were comfortable and house was spacious. Lake is much lower than pictured in profile but it made for nice hiking around the area for kids. Lots of wild goats and deer in the area.

Fantastic stay

We were very pleased with the home. It was big, comfortable and very clean. The location was peaceful and quiet, you could sit on the porch and listen to the leaves rustling in the wind and the birds singing. The view of the lake was spectacular with the changing colors as the sun moved. The kitchen was nicely appointed with everything we needed to cook. The full size coffeemaker was appreciated. We would definitely rebook this property. I would recommend the property to my family and friends.

Great view of the lake

This was our 5th year coming to this lake and I wish we would have found this house sooner! Very clean, very spacious and the view of the lake is really great. We had one bad weather day but we were able to hang out in the really big shop and play games. We will definitely book this house next year!

We cooked Thanksgiving dinner everything we needed was there, made for an awesome getaway from the city of Fort Worth. We love this place and we go back every year.

Great view, OK accommodations

The view and tranquility are amazing. However, some simple touches could have made it excellent and seem more than just a place they no longer need other than to make money. I understand this is a vacation rental, but still... There were only paper towels in the kitchen, no napkins and no tissues in the bathrooms. No bath soap, either. I didn't expect shampoo, but I also didn't expect empty shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower that I had to throw away. The towels are mismatched and old, obviously ones that were no longer needed or were too ratty for their new home and could be spared to use in the rental. The overhead lights in the fans in several rooms had blown and/or missing lightbulbs. And the lamp next to the sofa wasn't even plugged in as there's no outlet. This isn't a place to relax with a book because you'll strain your eyes. There's only one nightstand (although there's room for two) in the room with the queen bed, but instead of a lamp it's covered with the WIFI equipment. There is a second nightstand in the master bedroom, but only one lamp - who gets to use it? There's only a straight-back dining chair in the master bedroom in case you want to sit on something other than the bed. And nothing more than the bed(s) in the other rooms. The coffee cups I took out of the cabinet were obviously rinsed and put away, not washed, as there were coffee spots and rings on them. That's probably because, despite the cleaning fee charged, the owners require that guests load and start the dishwasher, take out the trash, and strip the beds and pile all the linens and towels themselves - I already paid the cleaning fee and although I complied to not be charged additional fees that were referred to in "the rules", there were apparently other people who didn't. There's trash in the closets, left behind by whomever staged the rooms. Empty store bags and the leftover boxes, bags, and debris from the bedspreads and such that they purchased to put in the rooms. The WIFI changed, but no one bothered to note it in the house information. There's a smart TV with firestick, and they offer YouTube. However, they never mentioned that you have to set the TV to HDMI3 to get it to work. These took a while to figure out. The A/C was out, and the owner offered no compensation until we pushed. For some reason he kept saying other guests set the a/c to 58 and froze the unit, which wasn't pertinent to us. He did eventually offer a discount.

Older Home

This property was a bit out of the way. After arriving I felt like the pics are a bit misleading. The living room and kitchen seemed newer and the bedrooms were part of an older structure. The house was clean. I asked a question through the VRBO app it was never answered.
