Thank you for your review. I am happy that your sister and mother-in-law really enjoyed their stay since I did not hear anything to the contrary during their visit. However, based on your review of their stay they did not enjoy it. A review of the guests’ stay by the guest who was visiting is helpful and appreciated. There is less room for miscommunication when the feedback is from visiting guests directly. Your description that the place was in ‘decent shape’ is shockingly different from what other guests have to say. This probably happened because you did not see the place. As per past guests comments: This is a ‘Beautiful House, Comfortable, with Stylish and Charming Interior’ ‘The place was exceptionally clean, had everything you need to feel at home, from the immaculate towels to the washer and iron’. In the ’House Manual’, that is in the Dining room, there is an explanation where additional supplies can be found. For example, dish towels can be found in a drawer in the kitchen, towels in the linen closet in the bathroom, extra toilet paper under the bathroom sink or in the laundry room etc. I pride myself on making everyone’s stay enjoyable and make sure that all the information is readily at hand. Had some items been missing and they could not be found by way of the House Manual, your mother-in-law or sister only needed to call me on my cell phone or reach out to me by way of the VRBO messaging dashboard. As per other guests’ feedback, “The host was quick to reply and was happy to help if we needed anything.” Thank you for taking the time to fold the sheets in the dryer. They had been washed and dried in preparation for the next guest. We like to be one set ahead of a less hectic turnover between guests. I can appreciate the difficulty your mother-in-law faces when using furniture on a day-to-day basis. People like what they like and are comfortable with those items. However, the furniture in this unit is standard height for an adult as per Universal Design guidelines. We do our best to accommodate all of our guests, but everyone has their own needs and preferences. I will take your comments under review and look forward to hosting you or your family again in the future.

I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and the walking trails along the river. We are always doing our best to make every guest comfortable and that they leave with fond memories. To date all are very fond of the place and their experience. In saying that, the patio downstairs is an open patio. The plants need to be watered daily during warm weather and the grass cut on occasion. I am sorry if that made you uncomfortable. Please consider that private things should be done in private not on an open patio where neighbours could see.
