As one person put it “this place is built so you don’t want to leave”. The owners go out of their way to accommodate you and make you feel welcome, along with the rental agency. We come down to play cards and cook. Everything you need to do both are in the house. The owners greet us with champagne and fresh decks of cards. It’s a five star operation that not only they should be proud of but ther mom and dad have to be looking down and smiling at what they have accomplished! Three cheers to the Duval sisters and their families

Dewey Beach for a Family Reunion

This house is even more beautiful than the pictures and had everything we could have wished for. We gathered family from 13 states and needed two houses. We called this The Over-Fifty House, and my kids and I loved the seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. We put THEIR kids and grandkids in what we named The Millenials House, just up the street. We had dinner teams who bonded over menus and meal prep in the completely stocked kitchen. We watched our old DVDs in the huge living room, congregated in smaller groups on the many porches, and, of course, spent days on the beach, starting with sunrise over the ocean each morning. Tricia took care of all the details and was always available to answer questions. The only suggestion I have is that linen service be included. The additional cost would be hardly noticed in the original contract. All in all, this was a perfect vacation home, and I am telling all my friends.

Great location - House needs some updates and TLC

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house works great for large crowds, however it needs some TLC. We have stayed at the house for 3 years but have been going down to Dewey for many years. The house needs a deep clean, very deep, including the outside shower. It also needs repairs throughout each bedroom and new mattresses. They are all soft and lumpy with a valley in the middle of each of them. Location is great and lots of room, but for the price it needs attention.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, nice views from several porches/decks. Nice house with some thoughtful amenities but it’s starting to show the effects of heavy use. Most mattresses are lumpy, misshapen and close to needing replacement, as are pillows. Bed comforters need washing but are too large for the washer. One mattress cover in the bunk room had fairly fresh urine stain and odor - we took it off and left it off and washed it on our last day. Dining chairs are getting rickety and most beach chairs were broken, but we are used to that and always bring our own beach chairs. Kitchen was unusually well-stocked, which was nice but the top oven will soon need maintenance. Flooring and bathrooms were more high-end than many other rentals.

Another Fabulous Dewey Beach Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our week at 12 Chicago St. was absolutely perfect. The house was elegant, yet homey and it suited our 4 families very well. We loved that everyone had a private bath and that there was enough space for private time away from chaos and kids! We loved the home’s location and the super easy jaunt to the beach every day. It was easy to make trips back for lunch and bathroom trips as needed during the day. We especially enjoyed that the beach seemed to be less crowded than our past locations which were closer to the heart of the Dewey mainstream. That’s exactly what we were looking for this year! Our family spent lots of time cooking, playing games, and enjoying the multiple decks and screened porches so there was a gathering space for any time of day or night! To the homeowners we say thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We took good care of it while we were there and we hope to make it our annual Dewey vacation rental choice! We’ve been visiting Dewey for over 30 years and this was our best year yet! To Myles at Coldwell Banker, we say thank you for always working with us to make sure we find exactly what we are looking for to enjoy a great vacation. This year you knocked it out of the park! Great Family Vacation House

Reviewer Comments: the house is in a great location and big enough for everyone to be together but to still have their space. The house needs maintenance, it needed it last year when we stayed and it needs more this year. Half of freezer still wasn't fixed from last year a sink in one of the bathrooms was broken and the beds need to be replaced.

Everything was just as we remember except not as clean, dirty and missing mattress pads, mold/staining of the grout in the showers and a few dust bunnies in the corners at time of check in - the place has been much cleaner in years past. Another suggestion - there were no tongs in the kitchen, we would recommend added 1-2 sets.We look forward to visiting again next year!!!

Perfect Beach Property.

This house was absolutely stunning. It was steps away from the beach and the perfect size for my party of 12 which included 3 children. My whole family wanted to stay another week or longer. As soon as we walked in it felt like home and we noticed right away it was extremely clean. There are so many beautiful views of the ocean from this house including 3 amazing decks. It is steps away from the beach and is stocked with most beach necessities. The layout of the house is very unique with the kitchen upstairs. It's awesome to be able to see the ocean while preparing meals. The kitchen was stocked with an ample amount of plates, utensils, pots, pans, glassware, and any other piece of kitchen equipment you would need. This is the first house I've rented that I truly miss already and hope I can reserve again next year!!

All rooms have their own bathroom and TV. It’s a well thought out space. House needs a deep clean. Sofa, rugs light fixtures etc. we were there the end of the season so perhaps that was the problem. Had to throughly clean the margarita machine as it was moldy and same with the ice maker. The proximity to the beach is fantastic and the elevator a great amenity especially with heavy luggage and groceries

Great location and ambience

Something for everyone! From spacious kitchen and family room with views of the ocean to multiple places for some quiet time or working from home, this home had it all. Just steps from the beach and a mile to stores and restaurants in Rehoboth, we kept our car parked and enjoyed all the home and the area offered. Thank you for keeping the home so clean and up to date!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Gathered 14 family members for a week at Dewey Beach. House was great. Plenty of room for all. Decks were great with ocean views. House was well appointed. Kids loved the pool/ping pong table. Plenty of beach chairs and toys. Only negative was the real estate agent - totally unresponsive. Asked toview property before we rented - never responded. Grandson left backpack in a closet after we checked out - numerous calls to the agent - never responded.

Wonderful property!

Great space for large family, wonderfully appointed and pleasing decor. My favorite parts were the screened porch rooms and the extra rooms where you could relax and get away from the hub of activity. Ample parking and great location with ocean views from several rooms!

Fantastic property

AWESOME!!! Really cannot beat this place. Been coming to Rehoboth/ Dewey each year for about 12 years and this is far and away the best house we stayed in. Couple of factors. LOCATION ; 9/10, you can walk to Dewey but not near enough to the crazy party scene that is will bother you. A bit farther to Rehoboth boardwalk, but is still walkable. Prob best to walk one way and Uber back. In terms of where it sits on street it is the 2nd/3rd row from ocean front, so close enough but prob best to be right on ocean. LAYOUT: 10/10, I loved this floorplan. It is reversed so kitchen is at the top of the house to makes for great for entertaining. Each bedroom has an attached bath, and the colors are spot on beach decor. Also did I mention elevator! Lastly there is more decks then you will ever need. So, so cool. AMENITIES: 9/10, extra of everything, and plenty if dishes, utensils, and pans/etc. all of it was clean and new-ish. Not top of the line but very functional. Only small thing was the beach chairs/beach stuff was a little used and beat up. Prob needs a refresh in next year or two. That said there was enough of everything and nothing was missing/damaged. Also, very clean when we arrived. NEGATIVES: nothing really impactful that it would deter me from coming back, but a few suggestions: 1) Water pressure is on the low side. Not terrible, but really tough to get sand off kids with low pressure. Seemed to be inconsistent from bathroom to bathroom - most were OK/acceptable. But the one next to the front door was pretty low. You can get a pressure accelerator off the main line (or just HW) for a couple of thousand. A good investment for this size/cost place. 2) TV in living room is on the small side for room size. Can prob upgrade to 60”+ for not that much. Think it is currently a 48”. Small size for room, so if want a group to watch game that would be tough given size of TV. 3) linen service should be included at this price point. It is optional and $300. Just bake it into the price and wouldn’t have noticed. OVERALL. Beyond expectations, so happy with place. Already looking into staying here next year.

FIRST RENTAL SUCCESS

We had the honor of being the first rental guest. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Your house is beautiful. There were plenty of spaces for everyone to spread out. We did a lot of cooking and found the kitchen lacking nothing. The beach chairs and boogie boards were a huge bonus for us. We have already called and reserved for next year. Thank you for thoughtfully furnishing and filling this home. We took good care of it.
