Just lovely

Everything you could ever want or need is here, all beautifully explained and set out. We used the chateau garden for sitting and reading in (!) and we loved the location -20 feet From an amazing bakery! - and the village. Do go. You will love it too. Who wouldn’t, with such delightful hosts.

Wish I could go back tomorrow!

Everything explained and what we read about this place was spot on. We were 2 couples staying 5 days (Carolyn said it would not be long enough & she was right). The small village has it all within 5 minute walk. My husband looked forward to having a patisserie steps away and we made full use of that. I recorded him walking over for a quick baguette when we realized we had no bread to go with our lunch (god forbid!). It took 40 seconds I think. Very comfortable throughout. The second bedroom bed needed to be filled in with comforters as it bowed in the middle, so not for larger people. Super easy access to various villages. We took a day drive on Sunday when most things are closed and stopped in or drove through at leave 20 villages or smaller! The chocolate shop, Calabrese (yummy & gracious owners), Fanny wine bar, Aupres du Clocher- all in the village and well worth a visit. Beaune & Dijon- great to visit and happy we stayed in the village. Don't miss Hostel Dieu in Beaune or the Sat market. Can't say it all here- we would recommend this place. Thank you Carolyn for all the tips.

Appartement parfait

Nous avons passe tres bon temps a Pommard. L'appartement très bien équipé avec tout ce qu'il faut. Très bon localisation dans un petit village entouré par les vignobles mais avec une boulangerie sur place et plusieurs restaurants. Le point de depart optimal pour visiter la Bourgogne - Beaune, Dijon, Chalons s/Saone et meme Autun. Merci Carolyn.

Beautiful well appointed apartment

We stayed at this lovely apartment during a heatwave but with the thoughtful inclusion of effective fans remained a cool haven. The property was very well equipped and the location in the heart of the village of Pommard excellent; easy access to Beaune & the wine routes. Carolyn provided lots of information on places of interest and things to do. Our only disappointment was the bakers over the road was closed for holidays-maybe we’ll have to return! Highly recommend this lovely home from home

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Gewürze, Tee, Kaffee, Milch etc. werden vom Vermieter zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber. Die Betten waren bezogen und ausreichend Hand-,Bade- und Geschirrtücher vorhanden. Der Check-in ist problemlos. Genau gegenüber befindet sich eine sehr gute Bäckerei. Der Standort eignet sich sehr gut für Ausflüge. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Objekt nur empfehlen.

Idéalement situé

Appartement très propre, doté de tout le confort et le nécessaire pour s'y sentir comme à la maison. Très jolie décoration. Très bien situé pour rayonner dans la région. Avons passé une semaine et sommes ravies. Ne pas rater visite de l'usine Veuve Ambal située à 5mn. Pommard est à côté de Beaune et de ses supermarchés. Dijon, Autun, abbaye de Fontenay par autoroute. Bref très pratique. Superbe panier d'accueil de Carolyn et Ken avec qui la communication est très fluide et rapide. Une bonne adresse que nous recommandons !

Large and well equipped apartment

We have had a lovely stay in one week in July 21. Unfortunately it rained a lot (unnormal), but then it was nice to be in the apartment. Good wine and food in Burgundy compensates a lot. We can definitely recommend this apartment.

Perfect Location for a Week in Burgundy

We were two couples enjoying a week stay in Burgundy. This property was absolutely perfect for us. We especially enjoyed having a secure parking spot for our car as well as the four e-bikes we rented for the week. Although there was a heat wave while we were there, the property fans kept us comfortable and we were able to sleep well despite the heat! Will certainly return if we can!

This property is great place to stay while in the Beaune area! The property is attractively furnished, has ample cooking supplies and utensils, and is well maintained in the heart of an the southern Burgundy wine area. We were extremely pleased with our week and would gladly return for more time there. Pommard has all the facilities that bring you to Beaune area, and the restaurants in these villages are superior to the what one finds in Beaune. The bakery is just a few steps away - fresh breakfast came from there daily! The owners also provide all the necessary info for a wonderful stay there.

We were very impressed. Pommard is beautiful place with vineyards and very close to Beaune for day trips. This accomodation is just awesome and the english speaking property manager is her worth in gold for someone with very little knowledge of the French language. We would definitely stay here again in the future. Everything was ready and thought of for tired travelers and even a present for our 3year old grandchild!! Luxury is definitely the right description for this HomeAway accomodation. Travellers from Australia

Terrific property in a great location. Welcoming and well appointed made us feel at home!

We enjoyed 6 nights in Pommard and surrounding villages in early Spring. Carolyn was very responsive as was the local manager. The decor is tasteful and local info and Library of books, tourist info and videos were appreciated. We will come back here!

Incredible apartment in Pommard

The apartment is right in the center of the little village of Pommard. The much bigger town of Beaune is probably 10 minutes away, and all the great wine towns of Cote de Beaune, Cote de Nuit, Cote Challonais etc are easily accessible for touring. My son and I would pick out 2 or 3 or 4 towns in each region to visit in a day - breakfast, touring, lunch with wine, touring, dinner with wine and home - it was incredible to see these places: Volnay, Merseault, Puligny-Montrachet, Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosnee-Romanee, Vougeot, etc. The private gated parking is a welcome feature - never search for a place to park at night. It is a perfect home base for touring. Pommard itself is lovely and quiet. Not a lot was open in July but we very much enjoyed the bakery right outside the front door entrance, a tour of the Chateau , the Calabria pizzeria (friendly, family run, good wines, fantastic pasta amatriciana), and (right next door) Compagnie de Fanny for wine and wonderful charcuterie and frommage. (Au Pres du Clocher was unfortunately closed!) Inside the apartment is so homey, and so completely thought through, that it is a pleasure to come home there each day. The kitchen and bath are full of high end fixtures and could not be nicer or more functional. The living room is comfortable for watching a DVD or TV - we mostly watched CNN international and movies. The dining area is much larger than we had need for. The rooms are perfectly decorated. The 2 bedrooms are both comfortable and cool at night - even in July. In addition to touring the wine regions we made the most of our proximity to Beaune - a very beautiful city. Highlights for us were the Saturday morning farmers market, Hotel-Dieu, a tour of the cellars of Jospeh Drouhin, the wine museum, and a wonderful (and expensive) dinner at Jardin des Ramparts. The even bigger city of Dijon is a little more than a half hour away - we did some of the museums and churches and had a nice lunch at Cafe Gourmand on the main plaza. For the ambitious I recommend day trips to Cluny, the Beaujolais region, the Chablis region and the great city of Lyon. We spent a week in Pommard followed by a week in Lyon which made seeing these places easy. We then backtracked to Chablis for a night to stage our return to CDG. Finally, the owner Carolyn could not have been nicer or more helpful or informative. She knows so much about her region in France and is generous in sharing. Just go - this place s great!

Home in Burgundy

My husband, a friend and I stayed at this wonderful apartment in Pommard for 5 days this past May. It truly was a 'home away from home." The apartment is spacious, clean, and very comfortable. It is fully equipped with everything that you might need during your stay, including a fully equipped kitchen with a built in oven, microwave, a full-sized four burner cooktop, full-sized fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and a full complement of kitchen utensils, cutlery, dishes and glassware. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. There is a large main bathroom with a tub/shower combination and a smaller half bathroom with a toilet and sink. The apartment is well-maintained and s very clean. Carolyn and her property manager, Audrey, were also very helpful in assisting us with dinner reservations and restaurant and winery recommendations. Thank you Carolyn and Ken for a wonderful base for our tour of Burgundy. We highly recommend this apartment, and hope to return one day soon.

Home Away From Home

This was our second stay at this wonderful property. First time was in April, 2015. After cramped hotels in Paris and "OK" properties elsewhere in cities and towns, what a wonderful treat to find the roomie comfort of "your" own home in Pommard / Beaune. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking your own meals. Extremely comfortable. Very quiet. Enhances and makes unforgettable any trip to Burgundy. Recommend that you make it your headquarters.

Great location for the perfect Burgundy experience

The perfect place where we had our perfect Burgundy experience. From this location, you can explore on foot the lovely town of Pommard that in spite of its quaint size has ALL the essentials--a great restaurant, cafe, wine shop, patisserie and fromagerie... And, it's so close to Beaune you can even bike there through the vineyards via a special path. You really feel like in Pommard you become a part of the village as you depart from your front door step onto the main street in town, getting to know the locals as you get your daily pain and cafe creme. And, the apartment is spacious with a wonderful kitchen, living room, dining room and two bedrooms, along with the small outdoor patio, and all well-appointed. We were so comfortable. We would definitely do this trip again, staying at sweet 3 Clos de Pommard for sure again. The owners are the best! They truly want to share their love with Burgundy to all who come and are great resources for ANYTHING you want to do in Burgundy.

I very much enjoyed my conversations with the property owner Carolyn from our first contact. We corresponded by email and by phone and I felt very comfortable about the property arrangements. Carolyn is a great resource on everything from Travel tips, wineries, food, and sightseeing. The property is perfectly situated in the heart of the Village of Pommard. There is a Bakery with fresh baked Pastries right across the street, a market, a wine bar run by Sabastian whom speaks perfect English and really knows his wines and is a partner in Fanny Sabre Winery up the street, a butcher Shop with awesome Duck pate and meats and cheeses, a great French Restaurant the Clocher, well basically everything you need to enjoy yourself . We were treated like family in Pommard and tasted with at least 12 wineries and met with 5 Winemakers for several hours. this is the property and Village to call home....

Wonderful townhouse, great location!

Our family of 4 had an absolutely splendid 3-night stay at Carolyn and Ken's townhouse in Pommard over the Memorial Day weekend. The townhouse had everything we needed…..all the details were covered, including a nice welcome basket upon arrival. As first time visitors to Burgundy, this was the perfect gateway/sanctuary to explore all the treasures this region has to offer. Prior to our arrival, Carolyn provided many useful insights about sites, tours, wine tastings, and other things to do in the area. We did many of the things Carolyn recommended and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves: Friday evening dinner at Aupres du Clocher in Pommard, Saturday morning market in Beaune, tour of Fallot Mustard, tour/wine tasting at Joseph Drouhin, great wine store in Pommard (Les Domaines de Pommard), superb Sunday brunch at the Abbaye de la Bussiere, multiple Domaine wine tastings, and the list goes on. Thanks again, Carolyn! When (not if) we return to Burgundy, we will stay here again. Very highly recommend to anyone!

Comfort Plus

After a long trip, when the door opened into my "home" during my stay in Pommard, I felt totally welcomed. Since I had been a guest here twice before, I knew what was awaiting me. First, the delightful Welcome Basket holding its treasures, that is always there for the guests. Travel-weary, it was the perfect place for me to rest, relax, and rejuvenate before continuing my exploration of France. Spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen, with double windows in the front o block out all outside noise, a full bath and a half bath, a small private courtyard, the place is a dream vacation home. Add to that a back door that leads to private parking and a front door that opens onto the village street where you'll find a grocery store and bakery, with a butcher shop around the corner, restaurants, and other shops worth the visit. It is delightful to stroll through the village and the surrounding vineyards. Pommard is also very close to Beaune, should you want to do more shopping, visit the supermarket to stock up for larger meals, dine in the fine restaurants there, or visit the Saturday Market. An added plus is the availability of the owner's Property Manager, who lives right in the village; she loves to welcome guests and speaks perfect English. Wonderful Apartment in Pommard

We just got back from a wonderful trip to France and spent one week in Burgundy. We rented this two bedroom apartment in Pommard which had all the amenities. If you are a cook, this kitchen is perfectly stocked with quality pots, pans and knives to prepare any meal. The location is wonderful as well. The apartment is just a few miles from Beaune and right on the bicycle path to ride amongst the wine villages. Step outside your door and you have a great patisserie, epicerie and top-notch restaurants. The owner, Carolyn, couldn't have been more helpful with planning a great trip. Her binder inside of the apartment is loaded with local dining, touring and historical hot spots. This is a great place to stay and explore all of Burgundy, France. Thanks again Carolyn! Gena Bell

Imagine two young, aspiring musicians, growing up 25 miles from one another in the USA. One summer they are each sent to perform in the great concert halls and cathedrals of Europe. They meet and speak to one another for the first time on the steps of Notre Dame de Paris – the beginnings of a life-long love story, with each other, with a way of life, and with France! Since 2005 we have owned this, our second home, in the Burgundian wine village of Pommard. Each year has brought an ever-increasing respect for and connection to the people and culture of this remarkable place, the most celebrated wine region on earth. Our desire to make this property available for others to enjoy was born out of a desire to share our knowledge and love of Burgundy with those who desire a special experience.

Our little corner of Heaven in the Côte de Beaune is the perfect place for you to call home during your stay in Burgundy, for so many reasons: Our guests get to experience life in one of the most beautiful and historic wine villages in the region, yet only 3 kilometers from the bustling town of Beaune, with its Wednesday and Saturday markets, train station, museums, restaurants, shopping, history, and of course, great wine!

Booking with us is unique in three ways:
First, with your, we are pleased to offer one complementary hour of trip planning consultation from “Your Key to Burgundy,” (www.yourkeytoburgundy.com) our company that specializes in helping clients to design personalized, authentic experiences in Burgundy and beyond.
Second, unlike many holiday rentals in Burgundy, we are fortunate to have property managers who live right in our village, allowing us to provide the highest quality of service for our guests throughout their stay.
Third, there are no hidden charges for cleaning, bed linens and towels, etc. We do collect a security deposit which is fully refunded to you upon inspection of our apartment following your departure.
Additionally, if you live in the United States, you can contact us about making your payment to us directly in US dollars, thereby saving the cost of currency exchange fees.
