Wir hatten einen wunderbar erholsamen Urlaub auf Kefalonia! Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Vermieter Lida und Peter waren unglaublich nette und aufmerksame Gastgeber: der Kühlschrank war bei Ankunft gut gefüllt mit Lebensmitteln. Das Haus wurde zweimal pro Woche gereinigt und die Betten frisch bezogen. Alles in allem haben wir es sehr genossen und werden gerne wieder dort Ferien machen. Einen herzlichen Dank an Lida und Peter für ihre Gastfreundschaft.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

Lida und Peter sind tolle Gastgeber. Zu unserer Ankunft war der Kühlschrank für das erste Frühstück, sowie mit Wein, Bier, Honig Marmelade, Olivenöl usw. bereits gefüllt. Das Haus ist wunderschön eingerichtet, perfekt sauber und es fehlt an nichts, um sich selbst zu versorgen. Der tolle Garten mit Pool, Liegen und vielen verschiedenen Sitzecken ist sehr gemütlich. Alles ist genauso, wie auf den Fotos abgebildet. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und der Standort ist perfekt, um die wunderschöne und abwechslungsreiche Insel zu erkunden.Wir können das Haus zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank, dass wir an diesem schönen Ort unsere Ferien verbringen durften.

Ein Traum wird wahr

Ein herzliches, unvergessliches Dankeschön an die besten Gastgeber die wir jemals hatten. Wer Ruhe in idyllischer Lage in einem Blumenmeer mit gehobenem Standard sucht, findet hier sein Paradies. Abseits des Massentourismus findet vor allem im Juni und September jeder seinen Traumstrand auf Kefalonia und kann in einer der zahlreichen traditionellen Tavernen die griechische Küche genießen. The Best

We have to say this is one of the best villas we have ever stayed in! Certainly the best equipped and the maid service is excellent with clean bedding and towels provided every 3/4 days and the Villa cleaned from top to bottom at the same time. It’s about a 10 minute drive to Agia Efimia with numerous restaurants and supermarkets. Lida is a fantastic host with excellent and prompt communication and allowed us to have a late check out due to us having a late flight home. Highly recommended!

Marvelous!

Lovely villa, in a great location. Spotlessly clean with everything you would need for your stay. The pool and outside space is fantastic! Lida is a great host, providing privacy but always available if required. All tavernas we visited were very good - our top picks were the one in the village, Finikas and The Local in Agia Effimia and Myrtos Tavern near Myrtos beach. We loved our vist to Villa Vounaki!

Wonderful Stay

We had a lovely stay at Villa Vounaki. Everything was just perfect, the villa was wonderfully clean and tidy with a really great welcome pack. Fully equipped with everything we could need for our stay and very comfortable. Situated in a lovely small village location between the East and West coast to the North of the island, so very easy to visit all areas in the North. Great restaurant a short walk away in the village serving traditional and very tasty food. Our host Lida was very welcoming on arrival and helpful with anything we needed to ask during our stay. So all in all highly recommended as a relaxing base to explore the North of this wonderful island.

Fabulous property in a lovely quiet location

Very well equipped and clean villa in a beautiful part of the island. The recommendations on places to eat were spot-on; we ate in the local Taverna 3 times during the stay. Lida was a great host - the welcome pack was the best ever - and we will be back.

Fantastic holiday

Fantastic stay in a great villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous villa, we felt very well looked after. We particularly appreciated the welcome basket on the first night having arrived quite late. The villa is a joy to return to after a day out, walking up the steps through the pretty garden. It was very well equipped with everything we needed and the pool area was great, sunny all day, but with welcome shade under the pergola. The views to the coast from the front bedrooms were amazing. We enjoyed walking down into the little village for a morning coffee at the cafe/bar or in the evening for a meal at the welcoming taverna. Further afield we explored many of the beautiful beaches and towns in the North of the island, the car hire was definitely worth it! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, all in all a perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Thank you Lida!

Beautiful villa

We loved our stay here. The villa was spotless and there were covid safe procedures in places. We were provided with face masks and hand sanitisers. The villa is beautiful and with the attention to detail was fabulous. The pool is private and there is a choice of seating areas outside. The villa is in a little village, which is lovely. The welcome basket was excellent, with everything we needed until we could get to the shops. We highly recommend this villa.

A wonderful holiday villa

We 100 percent recommend this gorgeous villa. It was our first time in Kefalonia and Lyra Villas was a perfect location, towards the beautiful north of the island and tucked away from tourists! The villa was perfect and as described, the pool was beautiful. Every bedroom had a balcony with a view and I loved sitting in bed looking out on the mountaneous scenery! Our family have just had the holiday of a lifetime here! We were welcomed in person even though we arrived at midnight after a late flight. There was enough delicious food in the fridge for the next day. Hiring a car was essential to explore. Lida had left us a photo book at the Villa detailing all the best island beaches, most of them were off the beaten track and all were amazing - crystal clear waters and often with friendly, local Greek tavernas overlooking the sea. We could see the sea in the distance from the villa but used the car to get there because it was difficult to walk in the heat. The weather was glorious - hot but gently breezy, we loved it! We hired a motor boat for the day locally and explored the coves along the island that can only be reached from the sea. AMAZING! We were made so very welcome by Lida and the local Kefalonian community - we'll be back! Thank you.

Beautiful Villa in typical Greek Village above Agia Efimia

From the moment we arrived at Villa Vounaki, and were met by Lisa and Peter, we knew we had made a great choice. The villa is perfect, peaceful and a fantastic location just 10 minutes from the Fishing Harbour town of Agia Efimia on the east and 10 minutes from Myrtos Beach on the western side of the island. Everything about the Villa was classy with so many different areas to relax. The swimming pool was great with the water a little cold in 1st week of October. However we spent every day exploring different beaches and swam every day and found the water warm. Our favourite beach was Aga Kyriaki, followed closely by Ieoulasiem We ate out every evening at a different restaurant and made some great choices. The restaurant in the village was excellent for grilled meats. Other excellent restaurants were Pergola, Paradise Beach and the Restaurant on the left after Hotel Odyssey. The resort will be closing down in the next week or so but if you like your holidays to be quieter then don't hesitate with early October- I am going home today with a great suntan after a lovely holiday. .

Gorgeous villa in a gorgeous rural setting.

Beautiful villa in a traditional Greek village. The attention to detail the owners have put into the villa is makes this a truly beautiful place to enjoy a family holiday. The welcome pack left by the owners was a lovely touch. Local taverna was lovely and friendly. Wouldn’t think twice about spending another holiday at this lovely villa.

Perfection

The best holiday we have had as a family! The villa is perfect, designed with a beautiful view of Agia Efimia cut through hedges of flowering shrubs. Pool and house were immaculately clean. Towels provided. On arrival we were greeted warmly and the owners had provided enough food to last well into the next day. Cooking utensils were of a very high standard and oil and vinegar were provided. The local taverna in 5 mins walk serves some of the best greek food we have tasted and they are so welcoming. Supermarkets and bakeries available in Agia Efimia, local bakery 5mins drive away. The villa is cleaned mid week and all the bedding and towels changed, the pool is cleaned too. Cannot fault our villa and hosts!

Fantastic week in a lovely villa ideally situated to tour the north of the island.

We stayed in this villa for a week in early June 2018. There was a warm welcome from the owners including a lovely welcome pack for the first evening. The house is well laid out, modern and very clean and beautifully decorated. The grounds are also well designed giving privacy and 3/4 choices of separate outside seating areas. The pool is a decent size and well maintained. There are gas and electric barbecues available outside. The villa is located in a small village and although relatively easy to find getting out of the village may be a little difficult with a large SUV. The villa is set on an elevated site and there are some stone steps from the car park to the villa entrance which should be noted by anyone with mobility issues. The location is ideal for trips out to all the nearby beaches which have been reviewed and incorporated in an excellent book prepared by the owners of the villa. There are a couple of decent supermarkets in Agia Efemia a lovely marina 10 minutes drive from the villa. Would highly recommend a stay in this villa; you won't be disappointed!!

Stunning views from a mountainside setting all the way down to Agia Efimia . Within 10-25 minutes we could get to several lovely beaches . Great food , Sunshine and friendly people 😊

Fantastic, private villa

Our second trip here - the only place we have ever returned to! A beautiful villa which is completely private, with a lovely south facing pool. Internally fitted out to a very high standard. Fantastic pergola at the back of the property which is perfect for lazy nights in. Location is great - about 45 mins from the airport, 10 minutes from the spectacular Myrtos beach and with Agia Efimia the same distance in the other direction. Can't recommend highly enough. I'm sure we'll be back again.... :-)

My husband Peter and I live during the winter time in Germany. We love to return to Kefalonia and spend our summer time here in Makriotika, this picturesque little village with unique authentic Greek atmosphere and warm hospitality of the people.

We have travelled a lot around the world and our dream has been to return sometime here to this beautiful place and create a Kefalonian holiday accommodation to remember. The project has been designed personally by us with careful consideration of all possible needs of our guests. Though, our aim has been to nest the property harmoniously in its unique wild-romantic environment without changing this.
