I was disappointed with this rental and its' owners. No one was there to receive me. Not very welcome for a place supposed to feel like home. The owner had called ask to call when I would arrive. When I did they said they could not wait for me because they were going to a Xmas party that night. I had never been to Vero Beach before and did not know where the place was. When I arrived late that evening the door was open, it was quite dark. There was nothing in the refrigerator, not even a bottle of water. The first thing one noticed was the refrigerator was very loud and it later, in fact, kept me awake. I am 67 years old and was hesitant to go out for something to eat or drink, so I went to bed. Bed was rather old, loud springs and slightly uncomfortable mattress as well.
They said I was going to have the apartment that was advertised but it was not the same one. They have 5 units and may have given me one not renovated. The bedroom had no chest of drawers, as it had been shown in the ad, so I kept my things in my suitcase on the floor.
On the second morning the toilet overflowed. I was forced to mop it up. I did not flush anything other than toilet paper. Not plunger available.
I had to leave with one set of towels only for the two weeks that I was there. They should left more towels if does not have laundry machines on the place.
Not extra sheets idem
Not beach towels
Very little utensils
Stoven was not working properly
Cable tv with very little channels available.
Finally, there was a problem recovering my deposit. There were some utterly false, and insulting accusations made by the owners which came quite as a shock. I am in the process of resolving the issue. Caveat emptor.
Thank you to give me the opportunity to write this review. HomeAway service usually very nice but was not being represented well on this property and with this bad hostessles owners.
