We would be welcomed on arrival but nobody showed up. Explanation how to switch the alarm off and TV pin-code were not present and the owner referred to the "management" to get them. The unapologetic "greeter" came to the house 20 hours after the agreed arrival time.At times our locked home was entered in our absence, without our knowing or consent and bed sheets and towels were replaced. Despite the good intentions, this infringement of our privacy shocked me and gave me an insecure feeling during our stay. There are no lockable places for your personal stuff. The house itself can use some maintenance and a bit more than superficial cleaning. There's a sewer smell in the upper bathroom and use of the gas-geyser produces a dubious odor as well. The roof drains on a poorly drained balcony causing flooding of the bedroom during heavy rain. Empty aerosol cans and swollen doorposts suggest these are not recent problems. Some locks on the sliding doors are not working so you need to close the shutters when leaving. If an owner advertises with kitchen/ toilet paper soap etc, he should provide them and not rely on the left-overs of others. If he can't provide he shouldn't promise. Honest advertising and care for clients invite to a respectful reciprocal behavior. It would also be more civilized and appear less hostile than "make sure all rubbish has been removed from the villa and disposed off in the appropriate bins, failure to do so will incur a charge of 100"
