Full Family Gathering

One I'd recommend for groups. We came as 3 families, 12 adults altogether,aged from 20 to 60. Great house for mass sleeping, dinning, and relaxing. It was hot at night without aircon but 2023 temperatures were better than elsewhere. We came because we shared a family home years ago nearby so know the region and its a good location for the area if you have a car. We liked the look and atmosphere of the Bar/Restaurant at the adventure centre over the road, "Le Caillou", but the food was disappointing for the price. The Pizzas from the village takeaway were great, but we mostly dined at the house as Marquixanes only has a roadside shop that is a cafe and bread depot just round the corner. If you can plan and prepare meals you'll have a good stay.

Quirky large property in great location

We had a fabulous time in this holiday property this summer. There were 20 of us in total - a mixed group of kids and adults and there was plenty of space for everyone. The house is in a village a few km from Prades, but it's really easy to get to lots of different places from here. We'd spent a few days trekking in the mountains (Tour du Peric) and it was nice to chill out by the lovely big pool in the warmer valley temperatures . The house was filled with unique pieces of artwork (red crocodile much admired by the kids) and was very comfortable. Lots of space for us all to eat together, sit on sun-loungers or just escape to the cinema room. Table football and poolside cocktail bar were both well used. We slightly missed an extra bathroom on the first floor - but all was clean and the kids loved the big space on the top floor. In the village there is a fab outdoor activity company - we took part in canyoning and tubing with excellent instruction. Everywhere we went we were greeted by extremely friendly French people and the owners father who lives next door gave us the impression the house was there to be enjoyed! Cute local fortified villages, Le Petit Train Jaune, Villefranche's ramparts and caves and Mount Canigou were all sampled. We cooked in most nights - supermarket close by. No noise outside after 10pm suited us fine, but might be worth knowing - also the pool has an alarm so good if you have young kids. Thoroughly recommend!!!!

Super réveillon entre amis

La maison est très grande, nous étions 19 adultes et avons eu largement assez de place durant notre week-end de 4 jours. La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de goût. La cuisine est équipée pour cuisiner pour de gros groupes, et la grande table nous a permis de manger tous ensemble (la table peut accueillir 20 adultes). Les nombreuses chambres avec des lits doubles, ainsi que le grand dortoir ont parfaitement convenu à notre groupe. Attention, en plein hier, avec des températures froides, il peut faire froid dans le dortoir (sous charpente), même si celui-ci est équipé de plusieurs chauffages électriques. Nous n'avons pas eu ce soucis, du fait des températures agréables. Petit plus pour la petite salle de cinéma :) Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et vous recommandons vivement cette maison pour vos séjours entre amis ou en famille!

endroit charmant et village pittoresque des gens super sympa et séjour détendant .

propriete plein d histoire , décoration ancienne et pleine de charme . ceux qui aime le récent s abstenir ceux qui aime l histoire dans tout les sens du terme go !!!!attention au plancher du dernier étage car impossible de ne pas faire du bruit et donc dérange l étage du dessous !!!! nous on a passe une très bonne semaine avec soleil et repas dehors toute la semaine

Superbe maison, pleine de charme, spacieuse, très bien aménagée.

Superbe maison, pleine de charme, très bien aménagée. Nous étions 21 et avions de la place pour tous! La table sur la terrasse pouvait effectivement tous nous accueillir, même chose dans la pièce principale en cas de mauvais temps. Les chambres sont charmantes avec une mention spéciale pour le dortoir. Le coin piscine est également top. Les équipements étaient bien présents. D'autres bonnes surprises également (coin babyfoot, salles loisirs...) ! Très bon séjour en résumé.

Très belle maison

Nous avons passé un super séjour à Marquixanes. La maison est très belle, bien équipée et décorée avec goût. Le propriétaire a été disponible et très accueillant.

Confortable mas catalan idéal pour un grand groupe

Nous avons loué le gîte la deuxième semaine d'août avec un groupe d'amis. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Le gîte est parfaitement adapté aux groupes importants et le dortoir a fait la joie des 8 enfants présents. La piscine et les extérieurs sont au top ( mention spéciale au pool bar). Le soin apporté à la déco intérieure est également appréciable. Seuls petits bémols la cuisine mériterait plus de poêles et de grandes casseroles compatibles avec le système de cuisson par induction et un garde-corps serait un plus pour la terrasse avec le baby foot...

Un réveillon au top dans cette belle et grande maison

Nous avons passé de très bons moments entre amis dans ce mas catalan, pour le réveillon du nouvel an. La maison est spacieuse, très bien équipée et joliment décorée. Le dortoir au grenier a notamment fait le bonheur de nos enfants. La communication avec les propriétaires a également été très satisfaisante. Nous sommes ravis de notre expérience, et recommandons !!!
