Monte Calicos（AL494）は新しく建てられた高品質のヴィラで、優れたロケーションにあります。 13,000平方メートルの土地はできるだけ自然に残され、オリーブ、イナゴ、アーモンド、イチジクの木が入った古い果樹園が組み込まれています。 10x5mの太陽熱温水プール、海、山、谷の景色を楽しめる別荘の全長に広がる大きなデッキ付きベランダがあります。 4つの大きなベッドルームがあります。キングサイズベッド1台、ダブルサイズベッド1台、ツインサイズベッド2台。高級マットレスと大型ワードローブが備わります。 各ベッドルームはエアコン完備で、専用の専用バスルーム付きで、海に面したベランダへのアクセスが可能です。 オープンプランのリビングエリアには設備の整ったキッチン、座席スペース（8名用）、大きなソファ2つ、ビーンバッグ、冬期の木製バーナーが備わっています。 このエリアには、CD用の入力とMP3プレーヤー用のUSBを備えた高品質のアンプによって制御される内蔵スピーカーがあります。 衛星テレビとDVDプレーヤーは、サラウンドサウンドを利用することもできます。 暖かい夜を利用し、BBQを利用し、星空の下で食事をしてください！

Beautiful villa with stunning view

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful villa. All rooms are spacious, clean and have comfortable beds. The heated pool is a highlight and the view from the grill station couldn‘t be any better. Sharon and Tim are great hosts and live close by, they gave us a very warm welcome. Thank you again, we will be back next year!

Traumhaftes Anwesen - Auf den Spuren von Kommissar Lost

Wir, Familie mit 4 Kindern zwischen 9 und 16, waren im Oktober 21 für eine Woche zu Gast in der Villa Monte Calicos. Unsere Zeit haben wir sehr genossen. Die Villa ist genauso schön wie praktisch. Sie bietet reichlich Platz und das Highlight ist sicher der beheizte Pool. Wir hatten tolles Wetter und doch haben wir die knapp 30 Grad Wassertemperatur genossen. Tim und Sharon sind klasse Gastgeber. Wir landeten recht spät in Faro und sie hatten ein “Willkommenspaket” vorbereitet mit Pizza, Chips, Wasser, Wein und Bier… Sie hatten Ausflugs- und Restauranttipps bereit und eine defekte Kaffeemaschine war innerhalb von wenigen Stunden ausgetauscht und auch Starthilfe für unseren unwilligen Mietwagen haben wir am Abreisetag bekommen… Moncarapacho ist auf alten Römerwegen in gut 20 min zu Fuß zu erreichen und bietet verschiedene nette Restaurants. Zurück haben wir uns meist ein Taxi gegönnt, auch für 6 Personen kein Problem. Wer Urlaub auf den Spuren von Kommissar Lost an der Ostalgarve machen möchte, ist hier richtig! Danke Tim und Sharon

Relaxed, so comfortable and beautiful location

We stayed for a week, only four of us, and really felt it was a crime not to share all that beautiful and organized space as a full group of 8! It’s so rare to find a property that promises space for 8 or 9 people, and truly delivers. Here you’ll get everything and more to have the most relaxed stay in Algarve. It’s close enough to towns and beaches (having your own car would be the best), but also so very calm and quiet. We loved the pool with salt water (not salty at all), the amazing garden with so many comfortable seating areas, having a private bathroom for each bedroom (and two more toilets in the property), the well equipped kitchen with good appliances and a great stove! We are Portuguese and know Algarve very well, this location and the towns around it (moncarapacho, Tavira, cancela velha) are for us one of the most interesting areas of Algarve, and one of the best in Portugal to spend your summer days.

Un endroit idéal

Avant toute chose, l'accueil du propriétaire est très chaleureux ! La maison est très propre et très bien agencée, notamment pour une famille nombreuse. Si vous êtes frileux, la piscine est chauffée et vous ne pourrez plus en sortir. Quant à l'emplacement de la propriété, il est idéal pour découvrir le sud est de l'Algarve.

Super Aufenthalt in einer tollen Villa mit super Pool

Die Villa ist noch besser als auf den Fotos zu sehen, es war wirklich alles sauber und es ist so viel Platz. Ideal für zwei Familien. Auch der Pool hat eine super Größe und war perfekt für die Kinder. Tim als Gastgeber hat auch einen tollen Job gemacht. Mit einem Mietwagen ist alles schnell erreichbar. Daher absolute Empfehlung, wir würden wieder kommen.

Wonderful Stay

We all had a brilliant holiday at Tim and Sharon's gorgeous villa. It had all the amenities you could wish for, a superbly equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms all with ensuites, amazing gardens and the pool area was just perfect.

Lovely villa, lovely area, lovely hosts

Tim and Sharon were great hosts and we hope to keep in touch. The villa was very clean and just what we were expecting from previous reviews, with everything we needed. Great views and peace and quiet, yet a nice 40 minute walk from one of our favourite little authentic Portuguese towns, Moncarapacho. We had a great week there and would highly recommend it to anyone.

An amazing villa - beautiful setting for a wonderful holiday!

The villa is beautiful - spotlessly clean and so well equipped, we couldn’t have asked for more. The pool is perfect, and the solar heating meant we could use the pool everyday, even on cloudy days! Sharon and Tim were extremely welcoming and generous hosts, meaning we could truly relax from the moment we arrived! Can’t wait to return!

Superb villa and pool

We stayed for a fortnight and enjoyed every minute; the quality of the villa, the helpfulness of the owners, the warm and inviting swimming pool, the views and surroundings etc. Furthermore the villa is in a good location with easy access to the surrounding area and to Spain, but is in a nice, peaceful area. What more could you ask!

Very nice villa with excellent swimming pool.

Sharon and Tim have created a beautiful place. We used the swimming pool even with lesser weather (the pool is heated). The villa is situated in a way that you have good privacy. Moncarapacho is a nice village with a lot of restaurants. The first thing you see when going there by foot (nice walk) is a bakery with excellent coffee and fresh bread) We stayed there end of april 10 nights with my parents and my brother and his girlfriend. The weather variated from windy or cloudy towards excellent (sunny and hardly any wind). Childern liked the pool the most. We recommand however to go to the nearby beaches and to Olhao. Only improvement for us large Dutch are the relatively small beds (my father and brother are 2 meters)

Amazing villa in a stunning location!

We had such a fantastic fortnight in this beautiful villa. It was so well designed and equipped to a high standard - clean, comfortable and had everything we could hope for. Sharon and Tim were friendly and welcoming and so helpful. We all enjoyed the pool and the grounds - great bbq and lovely walks. The town is great and we enjoyed visiting a few of the beaches in the surrounding area. We would definitely return - it's a really special villa in a lovely part of the world.

Wonderful Monte Calicos

Can't say enough about this villa! It is peaceful, relaxing and just luxurious in every way! We were two families and it was ideal for us all as the villa has two separate wings on either side of the large communal kitchen/ lounge and dining room. So in the mornings we did not disturb each other. Each room has sliding doors onto the vernada which leads onto the pool area. As we went in early April we took advantage of the log burner in the evenings which made the villa lovely and cosy. We hit a heat wave after a few days so it was not used again, the grand barbeque was used to the max and we loved cooking all our fresh produce from the local markets and the meat a fish was soooooo cheap! The little town is quiet and untouched - it is a local's town and the prices of alcohol, food and the restaurants reflect that! We plan to return next May and can not wait! Thank you Sharon and Tim - it was a memory we'll share for a very long time! xx

Beautiful villa nestled in unspoiled countryside

Monte Calicos has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. The villa and the grounds are perfect. We arrived very late at night to a warm welcome from Tim and Sharon who were nearby if we needed any help or advice. We had a fantastic holiday, 2 weeks in paradise, we just couldn't fault anything. We will be back!

Highly Recommended!

We had the most perfect week at Monte Calicos! This was our 2nd stay and we loved it every bit as much as last year. We took friends along and they loved it too. The villa is very well appointed and was spotless - it had everything we needed which made us feel very 'at home'. We love to relax and this is certainly the place to do so - with spectacular panoramic views of the sea and hills. We had fab weather so we used the pool daily - in fact the kids were in there most of the day and into the evening as it was so warm. We will definitely be making this a regular place to stay! Highly recommended

We had the best family holiday ever at Monte Calicos, August 2014. The villa is beautifully appointed with loads of communal space and a good-sized family pool. It has an open aspect with long distance views and a nice secluded feel. We were a party of 8, including grandparents and children and the villa accommodated us all perfectly. The real winners for us were that the villa is all on one level, access to the pool is via steps, not ladders, which was fundamental for the grandparents. There are 3 uneven steps hewn from rock from the parking area to the villa, which could be tricky if you have mobility issues, but this can easily be overcome by bringing the car down the left-hand fork of the driveway right alongside the villa. Both the indoor and outdoor eating areas really do seat 8 people with individual chairs (so many 8-person villas only have 6-seater dining tables or include bench-style seating that grandparents just can’t negotiate). The kitchen is generously sized, well equipped and allows several food preparation activities to take place simultaneously – essential with a party of 8! Having been converted to salt-water pools on a previous holiday, this was the icing on the cake: if you have never tried one, don’t worry, it’s not like going in the sea! Car hire is essential, the villa is located a little way out of Moncarapacho; the little Supermarket there had just about everything we needed in terms of daily provisions. We enjoyed some great BBQs at the villa twinned with some lovely meals out at various local eateries. We enjoyed it so much we have broken our ‘never-repeat’ rule and booked again for next year! Can’t wait. P.S. Don’t forget to put that mozzie spray on in the evening! Thank you to Sharon, Tim and Holly for sharing your beautiful villa with us, best wishes from The Turner Family.

An outstanding location with everything you need within easy reach.
Our search for the ideal location to build Monte Calicos took us many years after deciding upon the general area of Moncarapacho, a charming throwback in time. This area is not a typically touristic destination at all, it is primarily a farming area that happens to have been stumbled upon by those of us who have been lucky enough to stumble in the right direction. A small town with a couple of banks, small supermarkets, chemist, five or six good local restaurants and even a local taxi service with a fixed rate.
