Zakynthos with Friends
Ioannis and Marla were fabulous hosts. They were extremely attentive and helpful and they know the island extremely well. The first day meeting Ioannis he said “we will be as close or as far as you want us” and they did exactly that. They gave us the space we wanted while providing the help and support we needed. They were able to find us day-of reservations at restaurants that would otherwise tell us they were packed for the night. They also helped us get a scuba diving reservation 12hrs in advance.
In terms of the house, we went in a group of 4 couples (in our late 20s) all from the US and some needing to work from home. The house was perfect for us. The WiFi never had any issues, the pool was great. There are four very similarly sized rooms and 2 bathrooms in the house and an additional bathroom by the pool. Everything was in good condition and we even used the charcoal grill one night. The home was in a good location, peaceful and a good distance from the busy Laganas bar scene but close to good restaurants and the beach. Not only do I highly recommend staying here if you need a peaceful stay but I also recommend asking Ioannis to take you out for a boat charter - it was awesome and in my opinion the best way to see the beautiful beaches the island has to offer. 10/10.
