Beautiful, clean, well appointed, relaxing country farmhouse in an active farming region. The surrounding yard is large, private, and exceptionally well landscaped with a wide variety of flowering plants, trees, and shrubs including a small apple orchard. The yard has a mixture of sun, shade, outdoor seating, and play areas. The many species of birds will greet you throughout the day and into the evening.
Nearby Percheron mare band with foals.
Nearby herd of Charlois cattle.
The main entrance to the farmhouse.

Spacious and beautiful house in the Breton countryside

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, with generous spaces surrounded by a very large garden. We particularly enjoyed the new kitchen - a delight to cook in and sit around the table. So many places to explore in the countryside, and close to all the facilities we needed. Catherine and Andrew were truly beautiful hosts - so glad we got to meet them.

A lovely property which looks even better than the photos implied. A "wow" moment as we entered the drive was followed by delight at the lovely garden and property. Well equipped and nicely furnished with a great kitchen for socialising as a family but plenty of other spaces to use independently. The new bedroom is an amazing space. The ping pong table was an unexpected hit with all the family. Lovely patio area for eating out. Andrew and Katherine were incredibly helpful answering my questions before and after booking and were very welcoming. Set in a quiet area in a lovely part of Brittany this house is highly recommended especially for a multi generational family group.

Incredible accommodation for a week’s holiday! A huge, beautiful house in a peaceful hamlet. We were astounded by the size of the property and garden! Extremely well appointed with everything we needed. We loved the garden games available and the table tennis table which kept us entertained! Great to have some board games and DVDs available too. Andrew and Katherine always replied to messages very quickly and left clear instructions about the property. Such a relaxing place to spend a holiday. Beautiful beaches within half an hour drive, plus lakes for fishing, woodlands for walks and bike rides and interesting towns to explore. Definitely keen to return here!

A wonderful home to stay in.

La Treaunais was exactly as described in the listing and very clean and well maintained. Plenty of room so you are not on top of each other. Gas bbq was a great addition. The location was perfect for peace and quiet, though only 30 minutes away from St Malo. Dinard and Dinan are also a must to visit. It was easy to book and Andrew was very helpful. It was also nice to meet Isabelle and Paul who welcomed us when we arrived. I have already recommended the house to all my friends on Facebook. We had a wonderful holiday and would have gladly stayed longer than our 2 weeks. I just cannot say enough to give Andrew and his home justice. Thank you so much for letting us stay there Andrew and we will certainly be back. It is our silver anniversary next year (2016), so we are looking at staying for 3 weeks. (If you will have us). It was great to look through the photos of the house being renovated and seeing how much hard work you have put in. We look forward to seeing more in the future. A Phoenix slowly emerging from the ashes. By the way our daughter didn't want us to leave a review, so she could have the house just for us ! Lol.

Nous avons séjourné 10 jours en famille dans cette magnifique ferme bretonne rénovée avec beaucoup de goût.Le lieu est magnifique : la maison propre, excellemment bien rénovée, joliment décorée et parfaitement équipée. Le jardin est grand, entretenu et dispose de chaises longues, de cordes à linge, de mobiliers de jardin, d'un barbecue et même de jeux d'extérieur pour les enfants. L'ensemble est au calme, au milieu de la campagne bretonne. A une vingtaine de minutes de Dinan. Pour aller sur la côte il faut compter 30 minutes au mieux. Il faut donc impérativement un véhicule pour venir séjourner ici mais franchement, ça vaut la peine.Katherine et Andrew ont été adorables à toutes les étapes de notre séjour, depuis la réservation en ligne jusqu'à notre départ. Un vrai plaisir qui plus est d'avoir pu faire leur connaissance !J'ai trouvé particulièrement agréable que pour une fois, un gîte mette généreusement à disposition des produits du quotidien utiles tels que savon pour les mains dans chaque salle de bain, sacs poubelles, film alimentaire, aluminium, huile, vinaigre, etc. Toujours utiles en cuisine. Il y avait même du charbon de bois pour le barbecue !Bref, tout le nécessaire pour arriver sereinement sur notre lieu de vacances et nous poser le temps de faire notre plein de courses.Thanks a lot Katherine and Andrew, we had a wonderful family vacation thanks to you!

A fantastic stay at La Treunais

We had a fantastic time at La Treunais. When pulling into the grand entrance, we couldn’t believe we had the whole property to ourselves! Our two young daughters loved exploring the garden every day and we were within easy reach of some beautiful towns.

Semaine très agréable à Bourseul

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cette belle ferme très bien restaurée et équipée, avec de très belles chambres. Le jardin est immense et magnifique, dans un environnement très calme, nous en avons bien profité. Les environs permettent de très nombreuses promenades, campagnardes ou en bord de mer. L'accueil d'Andrew a été très sympathique.

A dream place in a dreamlike environment

Already the first glance at the mansion is filled with joy for the coming time. Our expectations were exceeded! Our daughter did not want to go home, and asked if we could not stay here forever. It is admirable with which devotion and love this house is furnished. You can only highly recommend this.

Great property with plenty of room

This is a lovely, spacious farmhouse, very much as per the description & photos, and very well equipped. We loved the summer kitchen and made good use of the BBQ. Although the weather wasn't brilliant, we always managed to find some sun not too far away. Dinan, Dinard and St Malo are all within easy reach and we found some fab beaches and seaside locations close by. Andrew was extremely helpful and we felt privileged to have spent all too brief a week here.

Fantastic Holiday

La Treunais was a delightful and magical place to stay,situated near the beautiful town of Jugon les Lac. The house was clean and very well maintained and the welcome pack was an unexpected surprise.We loved the beaches and two weeks flew by! We would love to return one day. A Beautiful Retreat

I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this beautiful country retreat. The accommodation is large, well furnished and extremely comfortable. The owners have given much thought to making your stay as relaxed as possible, providing bbq facilities and games to suit all ages and all weathers. It's situated just a couple of kilometres from the nearest village and a very nice, and friendly, 9 hole golf course, suitable for all standards is also close by. The coast is only half an hours drive away with the beautiful towns of Dinan and St.Malo a must visit. We were a group of 5 adults and would definitely return to this venue and May is a lovely month to be there.

Le Treunais

Le Treunais is in a lovely setting and easy to find. Plenty of room to spread out,(we were six adults and you never feel on top of each other) strolling around the orchard garden was a real pleasure at the end of the day. Historic Dinan and St Malo an easy drive around 30 mins. Jugon Les Lac down the road beautiful lakeside walk. Also coastal towns only short drive, st Caste has a lovely stretch of beach. Chateau Hunaudaye 15 mins away well worth a visit. Tip: if you see chateau on the map google details as many are now hotels. In April the countryside is ablaze with flowering trees and rapeseed fields of gold. The house is a good as it looks in the photos and has been tastefully restored to provide comfortable accommodation. Paul and Isabelle who look after the properly only a phone call away if any problems and explain any info needed on arrival. We had requested linen but not thought didn't mean towels, but hyperu store 10 mins away at Plancoet and sells everything. Beds comfortable and kitchens ( one in sunroom) well equipped. We had a fabulous stay visiting a different place every day and then relaxing back at Le Treunais was a real pleasure. Wonderful memories thank you.Richard and Christine Leale and family.
