Excellent location

Excellent apartment, very spacious in a very quiet area with the beach nearby. The house was very good and the contact with the owner was always excellent. Ray was always very friendly and attentive.

Great Apartment

The Apartment was very spacious, clean and well equipped. The entire complex was very well maintained and a quiet retreat. The property was exactly as advertised so no surprises upon arrival. Overall, an excellent home away from home and the perfect location to explore the Algarve region.

We really loved the apartment - lots of space (the

The complex itself was very well maintained but quite quiet in Sep/Oct. We made good use of the pool and also the Sao Rafael & Arrifes beaches (& beach bars!) - really really impressed with the scenery. Impressed that all the beaches we went to had lifeguards and all the restaurants we ate at had good quality food and drink (especially the red wine!). The weather was perfect all week with blue skies and lots of sun. The car hire worked well with a very new car and we used it for a few day trips out to Silves (historic town with castle), Spash & Slide (kids loved this), Albufeira (good choice of restaurants) & Lidl (excellent value)! Many thanks again for letting us stay at your apartment - In summary, it was great, and we hope to go back soon!

We couldn't have been happier with Ray's place. Two beaches within a very close walk (Praia Sao Rafael 7 min & Praia dos Arrifes 15 min) and they are very different. Grocery is close by via UBER at the Aldi or Lidl. If you want some really great options go to Apolonia in Gale. Their seafood and meat selection is outstanding. We really appreciated the Weber grill and full kitchen. The.pool area is great with a bar too! We've met some super people here at the complex. If you're in to it, there are pomegranate trees around the complex pick a couple they're really sweet. Really everything is in close proximity to 3B so you won't be disappointed. BTW if you're into tour we highly recommend the dolphin and caves boat tour... totally worth it!

Great location!

Great property, great location. Terry, the property manager, was a tad rigid with the check in process. We called earlier to ask if we could check in early, and we told him that we would call again when we were an hour away. Sure enough, we ran into traffic, and we also decided to do a grocery shop before we arrived. We called and gave him an hours notice. He seemed fine on the phone, however when we arrived, he was upset that we didn’t arrive earlier as he had 3-4 other groups to check in that day. He was a bit curt, but it was smoothed over in the end. The owner asks that visitors dispose of garbage nightly, but did not provide garbage bags. We used the A/C sparingly so as to save energy where we could. We also kept windows and doors closed. We found ants in the master bedroom and silver fish in the kitchen and entrance area. We left the apartment spotless as we washed abs put away all dishes and swept the entire apartment. Thank you for sharing your place with us, Ray. It was spacious and the food recommendations were on point! We went to Praia Grande for dinner and the food was outstanding. The sangria was delicious! Thanks again.

Ein schönes und großes Appartement in Sao Rafael, stilvoll eingerichtet eingebettet in einem sehr schönem Komplex. Wir es war alles vorhanden was wir brauchten und vieles mehr. Der Pool ist gemütliche 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Sao Rafael oder Arifes Beach sind gemütlich in 10. Minuten Spaziergang zu erreichen. Ein Parkplatz für das Auto gab es meistens vor dem Haus. Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer war vor der Reise zuverlässig und gut, trotz der transkontinentalen Zeitverschiebung. Der Ansprechpartner vor Ort war die wenigen Male die wir ihn brauchten gut erreichbar. Auch der Reise haben wir jedoch vom Eigentümer nicht mehr gehört. Auch auf Nachfrage gab es leider keine Antwort. Die hinterlegte Kaution wurde nicht zurück erstattet, Grund unbekannt. Das trübt die Erfahrung.

Un appartement idéal pour des vacances au soleil

L'appartement est conforme à l'annonce, spacieux, lumineux, charmant, bien ventilé (important au vu des grosses chaleurs), avec un terrasse exposée idealement pour être protégé de la chaleur. Il comporte tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner. Sa localisation un peu en marge de l'espace piscine permet d'etre au calme tout en.profitant des infrastructures proposees. Espace psicine très sympathique. Nous recommandons vivement cet appartement pour des vacances dans l'Algarve, Albufeira etant de plus une petite ville tres agreable.

Ferienwohnung wie erwartet

Das Mietobjekt hat uns gut gefallen. Die Anlage ist im November sehr ruhig, abgesehen von sehr aktiven Gärtnern und Handwerkern. Die Wohnung im 2. Stock ist gut eingerichtet und sehr geräumig. Die Sofas sind etwas zu weich für ältere Rücken. Besonders gut ist die Küche, in der man prima kochen kann. Das Doppelbett ist etwas zu schmal. Queen- oder Kingssize wäre bestimmt bequemer. Deutsches TV kann man für 10 Euro monatlich kaufen. Der Verwalter Terry hatte uns lange vor Check in in das Appartement gelassen, da wir Nachtflug hatten. Das war sehr freundlich! Wir können die Wohnung sehr empfehlen.

Dejlig lejlighed i rolige omgivelser

Really nice apartment whether you are going on trips in the Algarve or just want to have a quiet, relaxing holiday with sun, pool and beach. Our stay was in March where there was some rain. But then the apartment was good to stay in. Plenty of space inside and lovely balconies to the southeast and northwest. Really good communication with owner before and during stay. Hope to come again.

I am now partly retired after many years as a Technical Director for a multinational company. Following my retirement from the full time job we purchased this lovely apartment in 2005 and a ground floor property in 2008 on the same site. My present employment situation means I can work just as easily in Sao Rafael as the UK with the Internet connection.

We had considered buying abroad for some years in Spain but having seen this apartment, there was no contest. We love this quiet area as it offers such easy access to beautiful beaches and the Monchique mountains inland. The Portuguese people are wonderful and many friends have been made in the area.
The nearest airport at Faro is easily accessible from the UK year round.

The apartment is so well equipped that it is a home from home and allows myself and my wife to experiment with our love of cooking. I am an avid golfer and in Winter time can play in 20C weather even between November and March when the UK is freezing.
I am also a keen photographer and am always capturing the changing colours of the coastline on camera as can be seen by some pictures in the apartment.
The benefits of the area include its quiet location yet its proximity to Albufeira Old Town.
