Appartement conforme à la description, bien équipé (chaises longues pour la terrasse, chaises de plage etc...)Belle vue sur la mer, vue sur la piscine pour surveiller les enfants.Terrasse à moitié à l'ombre durant toute la matinée du fait de l'exposition du soleil, permettant de manger sans cramer!Possibilité de dormir toutes fenêtres ouvertes car présence de grilles à tous les ouvrants, mais attention aux petits moustiques! Climatisation optionnelle, un crédit de 11,50 euros nous a été offert, ce qui permet de passer deux nuits bien au frais.Beau jardin arrière permettant de manger à l'ombre aussi, et surtout de jouer au ping pong (table présente).Un bémol sur l'accès à l'appartement! Depuis la place de parking sous-terrainne, une trentaine de mètres à faire à pieds, puis 18 marches à monter, encore 30 mètres à faire sur la promenade en haut de la piscine, puis 39 marches au soleil, et encore 30 mètres pour accéder au jardin... Donc si vous êtes chargés, c'est vite fatiguant!Sinon dommage pour la cafetière signalé HS le 2ème jour et non remplacée même si une cafetière Nespresso est présente...Plages locales pas belles du tout, comme du remblai de chantier... Obligé d'aller à plus de 30 minutes de route pour en trouver avec du beau sable (Aguillas).

Winter Holiday

We have just spent our second consecutive 10-week winter holiday at this excellent apartment and we have already booked for next year! The apartment is extremely well equipped with a large south-facing terrace giving an outstanding view of the sea. The website pictures accurately depict this apartment. Local amenities include a small supermarket, bakery, fishmongers, chemist, several smaller shops and a number of restaurants. A greater variety of larger shops and restaurants are available in nearby Puerto de Mazarron.

Another fantastic stay

After visiting this apartment in May, and having a lovely comfortable week, we decided to return in October for another 8 nights. We have enjoyed it even more. Total relaxation, great apartment, wonderful views, two beaches close by, everything you could need. We will be back!

Another Great Stay

Just back from another great stay at this beautiful apartment. This time we ate at Le Medusa Chula a few times and can highly recommend the Paella, very reasonably priced too at €8 per person. The complex itself was busier this year which was nice and there are now a few pool loungers which is great, we usually managed to get one no matter what time we went for a dip. We will be back soon!

Wonderful Views, Clean and Very Comfortable

We loved our stay in Isla Plana. We know the area well, but this apartment topped everywhere we have stayed so far. We spent hours just looking at the views which are amazing, sitting on the terrace with a glass or two! The beaches were only a short walk away and we visited them often. We felt the apartment had been furnished to a high standard. The bed especially was very comfortable and the shower was superb. We loved it all. It was great for the two of us and when our two children were small it would have been wonderful. An Excellent holiday on every level. The steps can be a challenge especially with shopping, but it kept us fit! We will be back!

Relax, chill, unwind

Spent a long weekend relaxing at this wonderful apartment. Views are fantastic and perfect for the first cup of tea in the morning sunshine and great views of the bay, including a surprised cruise past by Yacht A, which was amazing. Apartment was very clean and tidy and everything beautifully presented and all in working order and great condition. The charming garden is a great bonus for this apartment. The local village is a 10 minute walk away with everything needed to cater at home. You probably want to use the car for a big shop or taxi back which is easy to do. The lovely social club with its seating area next to the bay and quaint church is very relaxing and great value beer, spirits, wine and tapas. The best place to chill and unwind.

Winter Break

Our 10-week stay in this apartment at Isla Plan was great. The south-facing apartment is comfortable, very well appointed (including UK TV) with a fantastic view over the bay. The local area has convenience stores and restaurants and the nearby town of Puerto de Mazarron has large supermarkets and a greater variety of restaurants and other shops. There is an underground car park with a dedicated parking slot. The only downside for the infirm or those with young children is the number of steps to reach the apartment (96 steps from the roadway and 39 from the garage level). That said, my wife had a total knee replacement 4-months before our holiday and she managed the stairs easily.

One of the best ever apartments

Stayed for 13 nights between touring in France and Spain. The apartment is beautiful, clean and modern. The sea view is wonderful. There is a good underground car park from which the number of steps to the apartment is much reduced. Particularly useful after a shopping trip! The climb is a bit of a workout. Enjoyed playing table tennis in the spacious and fairly private garden. Used the Isla Plana beach several times. Sandy in parts and a little gritty in other parts, but good enough for relaxing, swimming and games. A couple of beach bars / cafes along the area where we settled. The September weather was great, generally 28 to 30 degrees C with all day sunshine. Good swimming pool, particularly if you are a cat lover (perhaps it was on holiday as the same time as us!) Some great sunrises over the hills. Mostly very peaceful, which we loved. For English (and other) newspapers go to first shop on the right on coast road into the village. Local property contact and her husband very helpful with some wifi / tv issues and general advice. Only visited restaurants twice in Isla Plana. The nearest was was Restaurante Montemar on the way to the village. It was OK and a pleasant experience. An English chef had recently joined the restaurant and is planning to raise the standard there. We wish him well. The other restaurant was the more upmarket Del Casa Nono which is through the village and out on the other side. This too was OK and pleasant. For food and drink shopping we tried a few places including Carrefour in Cartegena, but settled for Lidl in Mazarron, less than 20 minutes away. Our favourite place was the terrace of the apartment. Leisurely breakfasts and evening meals, often using the barbecue, enjoying the great weather and views - what a place! We loved our stay in Keith's apartment and would definitely stay again.

Stunning!

Had the most amazing holiday here. The apartment is beautiful, well equipped and very well thought out. The views from the balcony are simply the best we've ever had on holiday, and are just stunning. 10-15 minute stroll to the centre of Isla Plana & a cerveza or two at the Social Club. The onsite rep was amazing & couldn't do enough for us. Thank you we will be back!

Very clean, fully equipped apartment ideally situated

We have now visited this apartment twice over the past two years and have always had a very warm and welcomed stay. The apartment is modern and well maintained which provides stunning views across the whole Costa Calida. Local amminities and beaches are only a 10 minute walk away and communal pool is in great condition with access to a table tennis table. The apartment has free wifi, Bluetooth stereo and all English TV channels. Within the village there are some good restuarants and social club/bar open till late all with a good atmosphere. The main town, Puerto de Mazarron, is a 10min drive or taxi and provides many more bars, restaurants and shops. The city of Cartagena is also a must see.

Best view in Spain.........

Having spent sixteen nights at this wonderful apartment, my husband and I have decided it is one of the nicest we have ever staying in and we are very well travelled, visiting Spain on a regular basis. The property was spotlessly clean and well maintained, comfy beds, very practical layout as in, during the winter months once inside on an evening we could still see the sea from the sofa which we thought was very well thought out! The manager provided excellent customer service and sorted out a small problem with the internet immediately, nothing was too much trouble for her. The local supermarket was within walking distance for a few basic items but we drove to Mercadonna which took about ten minutes to get our main shopping which is very good for people with Coeliac and other dietary needs. There are a few little cafes around and lovely cafe right on the front where we enjoyed a drink after a gentle stroll along the seashore which was just beautiful. We loved it so much we have booked to go back again later in the year. The only downside was the 86 steps to the apartment which could be a problem for some people when carrying shopping and water but we managed it and I have just had two new knees!

A lovely apartment in Isla Plana

A lovely apartment in Isla Plana that is ideally situated for discovering the delights of this beautiful area of Murcia. This was the first visit to this region for my wife and I, we decided to book for 2 weeks so that we could hire a car and visit various places along this coast. The apartment is situated in the Mojon hills behind Isla Plana and is about a 15 minute walk to the small town centre and beach. If you are not up to the walk back up the hill and the many steps then this place is not for you. But the raised aspect of the apartments gives a magnificent view of the Mazarron Bay and Isla Plana from the large private balcony. The apartment is as described on the OD site with fair sized bedrooms, lounge and kitchen. There was only my wife and myself so we had plenty of room, a party of six may find things a bit cramped. The place is well equipped, the owner has thought of everything and contacted us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. The BBQ was excellent and the wifi good. The tv is able to get Brit channels though picture freezing was common. We discovered some great beaches within a 30 minute drive of Isla Plana but one needs a car to find these. A visit to Catagena and the Las Baterias (Franco's civil war gun battery in the hills behind La Azohia) are well worth it. There are some good local restaurants, we got the bus into Puerto Mazarron where there are a large choice of eating places in the port area. Isla Plana has a social club which is amazingly cheap serving tapas and pizzas. The Funky Jellyfish chiringuito on the isla Plana beach serves good food at night. We did not use the pool at the apartments but for families this would be very attractive. Parking was in the underground car park below the apartments and was very convenient.

Lovely apartment

This is a lovely apartment. The owners have made every effort to make sure it is really comfortable. The beds are great, the place was spotless, the towels fluffy...in fact it was a bit like being in a four star hotel with the convenience of an apartment. It is my opinion that it would be a little snug for 6 people as the living area isn't huge but it was absolutely great for 2 of us. Oh and the views are wonderful!!!

Fantastic Relaxing Holiday!

Great location with superb views of the bay of Mazarron. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed and was furnished to a very high standard. The pool area was a hit with us all and we used it everyday. Isla Plana is a lovely little resort with everything you need and was spotlessly clean. Snorkelling in the bays was great fun. The supermarket had everything we needed and was only a 10 minute walk. We would definitely recommend both the apartment and resort. Its a perfect location for a peaceful & relaxing holiday and we hope to come back one day.

The location is one of the few unspoilt coastal areas still left in Spain, with very good value restaurants, tapas, bars and supermarket all within close proximity. The marina at Puerto de Mazarrón, a short drive or taxi away, is a wonderful place to visit and you can watch the boats go by and miles of sandy beaches. For the best fresh catch of the day visit the beachfront restaurants of La Azohia a coastal walk from Isla Plana along the bay is well worth it. The mountainous back drop of the Sierra Espuñas keeps the resort exclusive and provides trails of discovery to explore. 320 days sunshine per year makes this a wonderful place to enjoy your holiday!
