Thank you for taking the time to submit your comments Susan, lovely to hear that you all enjoyed your stay. It is a little upsetting for the house to be portrayed in such a negative way despite your 4 star rating. I have looked back through all of our correspondence and I do not have any any mention of a member of your party having limited mobility, I am not sure if you actually had a less mobile member in your group or you are kindly passing this information on. Both the upper and lower level access to the house are perfectly accessible to the able bodied. My previous experience of guests with mobility concerns is that they will confirm arrangements and facilities prior to making a booking. Anyone reading this reply with concerns about access please do be in touch and I can forward images of all entry/exit points to upper and lower levels of the house if required. I am still at a loss as to why you waited three days to alert us of the problem with the heating, once the problem was reported we were at the property within the hour and the problem, as you say was resolved very swiftly, there was absolutely no need for you not to have a warm house for that period. It is very unfair to list this as a negative to your stay. Problems do occur but if we are not made aware of an issue we have a zero chance of any rectification. This is the same with the marked crockery and cutlery, we were not notified of your concerns for nearly a week following your arrival. Sadly, very rarely, guests do not respect a property, as was the case with the departing group on your arrival. I will not go into exact detail but for the two Housekeepers to turn around such a large property, vacated in such an awful condition in the four hour window that we have and the only oversight to be checking glasses and pans placed at the back of the cupboards by departing occupants was nothing short of a miracle. As a school holiday booking all of our remaining Housekeepers were committed to our other properties. We have now made arrangements to have third Housekeeper “on call” should she be required. Once more, had we been informed on arrival a member of the team would have visited the property the same day. Your email read........"I didn't want to contact you to ask someone to come over and clean the things that had been missed” again you gave us no opportunity to assist you in any way. We take pride in our property presentation and always do our very best to ensure that our houses and apartments are presented in a beautiful condition, I am confident that our high standards will continue and send my apologies to you that on this occasion we were not completely perfect.
