We had another fabulous 2 weeks in Ste Colombe. Julie and Chris work hard to make sure everything is how it should be. The house, pool and location are perfect for us.

Relaxing family holiday

Lovely clean property exactly as described in an area we know well. Julie was a great host and made us very welcome. We had a great 2 weeks here and plan on returning.

A fantastic week in a beautiful house!

We had a fantastic holiday in the beautiful house with the large swimming pool. The house was very clean and fully equipped. The children had a great time with the tennis table and in the swimming pool. It is a beautiful and peaceful area! Thank you very much!

Incredible stay

We stayed for a week and had an incredible time. The area is very quiet and quaint, perfect for walks around the surrounding areas or just relaxing by the pool. On-site barbecue was great as we used the every evening. Rooms were cool, clean and had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed themselves immensely and I couldn’t thank Julie enough for being so accommodating, especially with the addition of the inflatables! House is a short drive away from the village if Duras which has plenty of day and night markets. Julie was a font of knowledge on when and what to do! Lovely host and I would thoroughly recommend her!

Relaxing family holiday in the sunshine!

Set in the small commune of Sainte-Colombe-de-Duras with a charming Roman church just across the road who’s chimes gently awoke us in the morning - This characterful countryside property has everything you need! By far it’s best feature (for us) was the fantastically sized swimming pool which we spent most of our relaxing time around. Beautiful views across the fields as you take a refreshing dip and let your cares melt away! The location is ideal for 5 mins drive to Duras which has a Chateau, markets, artizanales and bars/restaurants. For the oenophiles I would certainly recommend a visit to Saint-Émilion which was an easy 30-40 mins drive - amazing place - just get there very early to avoid the search for parking! Thanks Julie and Chris - We had a smashing week in the sunshine!

Quiet and relaxing

This property is just the place you need if you want quiet and relaxation . It is adequately furnished , for all your culinary needs . The only thing it is missing is a place near by to get your fresh bread from , but we stocked up every time we went to the local mini supermarket about a 10 minute drive away in Duras . The outside furniture could do with a bit of a refurb , but on the whole it was very pleasant to sit outside at night and listen to all the different birds and the church bells and eat the grapes off the vine on your patio . Don't forget your mosquito repellent! They were certainly active whilst we were there the last 2 weeks of September, also it was harvest time as well , so lots of flies etc . We would like to thank Julie and Chris for helping us out at the end of the holiday as well , super , kind people .

Grande maison de campagne

Maison ancienne avec son charme et ses inconvénients, majeurs : la chaleur intense dans les 3 chambres à l'étage qui donnent sur cette magnifique terrasse couverte qui emmagasine la chaleur en journée et la restitue la nuit. (il a fait très chaud). Son grand avantage ce sont les espaces, plein d'endroits pour se poser, se reposer, jouer et la piscine isolée de la maison avec vue magique sur la campagne. Pas de moustiques ! La télé est dans une pièce à part, ce qui est très bien. La literie est très moyenne, toutes les pièces sont grandes il n'y a pas de commerces autour et nous avons trouvé le frigo un peu petit pour 8 personnes. La propriétaire est très discrète et semble disponible mais nous ne l'avons pas sollicitée. Nous y avons passé un très bon week-end.

Maison très spacieuse, très propre, dans petit village près de sites touristiques et avec dans la maison toutes les activités souhaitées pour occuper des jeunes et des moins jeunes (belle et grande piscine, billard, ping pong, fléchettes. A recommander pour séjour en famille ou entre amis.

Séjour agréable

Par les fortes chaleurs, la piscine était très agréable, c'est le point fort de l'hébergement. Il manque clairement une climatisation pour les 3 chambres qui se situent sous les toits, le wifi ne fonctionne pas il s'agit seulement d'un repeteur wifi qui n'apporte rien de plus. Il est quasi impossible d'avoir de l'eau froide dans la douche. On note la présence de nombreuses mouches dans la partie séjour certainement dû à la chaleur.

Superbe maison. Il y a tout ce qu il faut pour passer de bons moments. Les propriétaires sont très sympathique. C était vraiment très bien. Le seul problème c'est qu'il y a beaucoup de guêpes et de moustiques mais cela n ai pas de la faute des propriétaires. La piscine serait chauffée se ne serais que du bonheur. Mais un parfait séjour. N hésitez pas à y aller !

Goede gezinswoning voor ontspannen vakantie

Het huis is zeer goed uitgerust, ook benodigdheden zoals zeep, vaatwastabletten, handdoeken en dergelijke zijn meer dan genoeg aanwezig. De eigenaars wonen ernaast, maar respecteren ten volle de privacy van de gasten. Heel aangenaam zwembad (overal 1.40m diep).

Un gîte de belle allure

Jolie maison ancienne typique aux aspects rustiques. Quelques points d'améliorations possibles : patères en salle d'eau, simple rideau évitant d'asperger autour des douches, bizarres bruits de canalisations, mais pas de quoi gâcher votre séjour. Une décontraction "british" agréable. Un bon souvenir.

Dépaysement total, oxygénation et bonheur familiale

Un merveilleux séjour dans une demeure alliant charme et authenticité. Située dans un tout petit hameaux, ce lieu est parfait pour une déconnection 😉 wifi et réseau téléphonique en vacances également 😉😂 Raisons de 4 étoiles au lieu de 5: Frigo un peu petit pour une grande famille Manque de coussins chaises longues à la piscine Mobilier un peu… vétuste 🙃 Eau chaude limite pour une grande famille comme nous ou les enfants profitent de l’eau chaude avant les parents 🤪

Très calme !

Une belle grange authentique avec tout le confort et le calme nécessaires . Parfait pour passer des vacances loin des villes. Le plus, la salle de jeux très sympa pour les soirées d’ete. Les propriétaires sont très gentils .
