We had a fantastic stay and couldn’t have asked for better. The location is ideal—just a short walk into town. Even over a busy bank holiday, it felt like we had the best of both worlds, like we'd cheated the system somehow. We could dip in and out for food, shopping, and a bit of atmosphere, then retreat back to the house without worrying about parking (space for two cars on site) or dealing with the crowds for too long, although its a lot of fun people watching with an ice cream in hand. The house itself was spotless and beautifully presented, with everything we needed. We stayed as two adults with a 2.8-year-old, and it was well set up for families. There were even additional items suitable for younger children and babies, which was great to see.The shepherd’s hut was a highlight for our little one—she loved the tea set, Playmobil camper, and the selection of books for all ages. The direct access to the park from the back gate was also a huge plus, making it easy to come and go as we pleased.Beyond being family-friendly, the house is spacious and comfortable, easily accommodating six guests with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and dining areas. Even in May, the garden was catching the evening sun, so I imagine it’s a real sun trap in the summer months.Lynsey was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout. We’d absolutely recommend this property - a brilliant home in a great location, with plenty to do all walking distance.
