Hello Raymond I find it very very annoying for you that our house was not cleaned properly. My apologies for that We live abroad ourselves and have a cleaning company that arranges the cleaning. I therefore find it a pity that you did not inform me immediately by telephone or via WhatsApp so that I could have taken action immediately. I would have sent them over that same evening or Sunday morning to carry out the work properly. After all, that is what they are paid for! Now I have not had the opportunity to correct this for you. I am always ready to please my tenant and a clean house is absolutely very important. Normalement, nous n'avons jamais à nous plaindre du nettoyage. Si vous m'aviez prévenu à votre arrivée, j'aurais renvoyé l'équipe pour faire un autre ménage satisfaisant. Je vais certainement en discuter avec l'équipe de nettoyage et leur dire d'y prêter plus d'attention. Mes excuses pour le dérangement. Très agréable d'entendre que vous avez aimé la maison. Dear Peggy We rent out our house already for years and we never had thiefs coming in the house because our house is well secured and safe with the alarm on all the windows and cameras that make pictures as soon as the alarm starts ! On Saturday, the day you left the Police returned and technical investigation was carried out to take the fingerprints and it was subsequently established by the police that no windows had been forced. There is no burglary damage and the locks on the windows work well and are not forced. The conclusion of the Police is that you must have left one of the windows in the kitchen open, that it was not locked by you with the key inside! and that they came in because of that. There is absolutely no breakage damage at all! They couldn't come in without breakage damage if the window should have been locked. You had told me by phone a window was forced. So I had to have a certificate for my insurance. Neither the police nor the insurance expert, that came also the same time on Saturday found any damage to the windows or doors. They found it very strange. They found our house is well secured. We are therefore of the opinion that if the guests are negligent in closing the house and lock windows, we are not responsible, no matter how annoying it is that they have damage and things are stolen, it is not our fault. The house is good secured. Our insurance doesn't cover anything, especially if there is no breakage damage at all. Nevertheless we have placesd now also a Security Box so people can put some things of value in it. If you are well insured with a travel Insurance,as recommended, it will cover your damages, and it is not necessary to ask owners for a compensation. Regards Virginia

Unfortunately the pool turned green after a thunderstorm with lightning at their arrival but this problem was solved in 24 hours. The guest complaint about the water pressure in the bathroom upstairs and said she had problems to wash her hair and although the there was enough water and also a bathroom downstairs we gave her a discount of € 200,00. As there were severeal things not ok when she left, like 3 burning marks on our wooden table , the table had to be sanded completely and we charged €100,00 from the deposit for this. the docking station that did't work anymore and a broken lock were not even charged.
