Step into the inviting lounge and soak up panoramic views stretching across rolling hills to the sparkling waters of the Camel Estuary and out to the sea.
Just at the end of the quiet country lane, you’ll find direct access to the scenic Camel Trail – perfect for walkers and cyclists alike.
Food lovers will be spoiled for choice: the nearby market town of Wadebridge boasts an array of cosy pubs, bistros, and restaurants, while the renowned harbour town of Padstow – home to Rick Stein’s famous seafood restaurant 🐟 – is just 7 miles away. Prefer something closer? The award-winning Quarryman Inn is just around the corner – perfect for a hearty meal or relaxed evening drink after a day of adventure.
Inside, the apartment is thoughtfully appointed and maintained to a high standard, complete with free Wi-Fi for your convenience. While there isn’t a washing machine onsite, a nearby launderette in Wadebridge is easily accessible. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are included in all stays – even short breaks – so you can settle in and start relaxing right away.

Drei Wochen eines wunderbaren Urlaubs liegen hinter uns. Es ist eine sehr gemütliche Ferienwohnung, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet, wenn man sich selbst verpflegen will. Die Aussicht auf Padstow, den Camel und das Meer sind einfach phantastisch. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, auch wenn das Britische Wetter mal Sturm und Regen geschickt hat. Von der Wohnung aus kann man mit dem Auto viele Ziele in Cornwall einfach erreichen: Strände, viele Wanderweg, kleine Orte am Meer oder andere touristische Ziele. Wir sind hier sehr viel gewandert und durften diese wunderschöne Natur mit ihrem Wechselspiel zischen Ebbe und Flut, Wellen und Wind, Strand und Steilküste genießen. Der Kontakt im dem Vermieter war immer gut, wenn wir Fragen hatten, hat er schnell geantwortet. Es lies sich alles einfach regeln. Vielen Dank!Cornwall ist definitiv eine Reise wert. Gern kommen wir wieder.

Beautiful apartment

Fabulous apartment equipped with everything you need. Spotlessly clean. Excellent location close to the seven bays all lovely beaches and the Camel Trail. Fantastic view over the estuary to Padstow. Will certainly be returning.

Relaxing Break

The photos do not do this property justice. We are a family of 4 and really enjoyed the apartments layout, furniture and decor, but most impressive was the view down to Padstow from the living room sofa whilst relaxing in the evenings.We will definitely be back.

Home from home

This is a lovely place to stay and we had a really relaxing time. It is so quiet and peaceful and the location is perfect. The overall standard of the property was excellent and we will definitely be coming back.

Another excellent stay

We've stayed here four times now, and the apartment is still as immaculate as the first time we came. It's very well equipped, and ideally placed for getting to lovely coastal walks. Unfortunately our walking was curtailed by Storm Darragh, but the apartment was a warm, comfortable place to stay indoors, if rather noisy in the very strong winds because of its exposed position with views out to the coast!

Eine wunderbarer Urlaub

Fantastischer Blick jeden Tag bei unterschiedlichem Wetter auf die Bucht. Sauber und dekorativ eingerichtet. In der Küche alles da. Wir hatten sehr schöne Urlaubstage. Auch die kostenlose Zwischenreinigung klappte sehr gut. WLAN bestens, da sind wir anderes oft gewöhnt. Also gerne wieder.

Lovely apartment with a wonderful view

Clean and well equipped, Tylney Retreat was perfect for our week in Cornwall. With mixed weather, the spacious living room was very welcome for some blustery afternoons when we didn’t feel like venturing out. Supermarkets are just a mile away and a short hop to Wadebridge, Padstow and The Camel Trail, so a fantastic location too. Friendly pub The Quarryman with great food is just next door. A lovely holiday!

Wonderful retreat

This is a wonderful appartment, the description was 100% accurate in my point of view. It was very clean when we arrived and the owner had clearly marked all switched for guests not familiar with the english electricity system. Very calm, with a very nice view. It is a little bit away from Wadebridge, so car or bicycle is convenient. With our two teenager kids we had enough space for a couple of days and can recommend it absolutely.

Excellent accomodation in a lovely spot.

Property was very clean and tidy with everything you could need for great self catering holiday. Well situated for Padstow or Wadebridge ia the Camel trail. Some great walks with lovely scenery.

relaxing week

We had a wonderful and relaxing week in Adrian‘s Appartement, everything was perfect. Very spacious, cozy and clean, with a beautiful view. The Appartement offers all what is needed to feel comfortable. Also the pub next door was good to have. Wadebridge is a good base to explore all the other nice places around. Many thanks to Adrian for having us in his beautiful house.

Secret Hideaway

Perfect location to use as a base to tour Cornwalls beautiful coastlines. Fantastic views of Padstow/Rock estuary and lovely sunsets. Convenient location to amenities/shops etc. but in the countryside, peaceful retreat. Well equipped apartment, made to feel like home from home. Parking facilities in the local pub car park very convenient. Recommend the local pub if you didn’t feel like cooking for yourself.

Beautiful, peaceful spot

The apartment is really lovely. Very clean, lovely location with stunning views over camel estuary. Room with single beds I wouldnt say is ideal for an adult- lumpy pillows and not a lot of space, but I decamped and slept on the sofa and my Mum had the lovely ensuite room where she slept well. It was great to be able to bring my dog and the aprtment has all the mod cons you need to cook and self cater. The local pub is sweet- not the friendliest or warmest of welcomes, but good to have a spot just next door when you dont want to drive. Overall we had a lovely stay and fell in love with North Cornwall even more.

Stunning

I’d originally booked this property last minute for my wife and teenage twins as I was working, so hadn’t really paid too much attention apart from to ensure the property met their requirements in terms of location. I then managed to swap shifts and go along too and wow! Such a lovely apartment, so very well decorated and furnished, clean and well equipped. In fact, I don’t think we’ve stayed anywhere quite so well equipped. And the photos really don’t do justice to how large the living area is - it’s stunning. The views too are also stunning over the Camel Estuary. It’s a straightforward downhill stroll or ride to the Camel trail too and there are so many beautiful beaches (many dog friendly) within a short drive. This apartment exceeded all our expectations and was such a fantastic and lucky find. And the food at The Quarryman pub next door is also 5⭐️!

Absolutely fantastic space. Brilliant location for getting around to all our favourite places. The lounge space was really big, and perfect for our young children. I would 100% recommend.

Lovely Apartment

This was our second visit and we would highly recommend this beautiful apartment. The living space is perfectly set out with wonderful views towards Padstow. It’s immaculately clean and well equipped with a great pub on your doorstep. You should not hesitate in booking.

Hi, I am a retired Finance Manager with nearly 40 years experience in the Motor Industry and my wife is an Account Manager at a GP Surgery and together we own Tylney Retreat. We have been having family holidays in Cornwall since 1994 and have always dreamt of owning our own 'bolt hole'. We have spent a lot of time decorating and furnishing the apartment and believe it provides a really comfortable base to explore the Cornish countryside and coast. We would be delighted to welcome you and confident that you would really enjoy your stay.
