A beautiful villa in a stunning location, being equidistant from Fiskardo and Emplisi beach. The pool was clean, with a wonderful vista towards the mainland. There were plenty of seating areas, inside and out, and the villa was well-equipped in all aspects. A minor gripe would be that the wi-fi never worked. It is supplied from a router in the adjacent villa and the strength was never sufficient for any of us to log on to. We had sufficient mobile data for our purposes , but would have been annoying if our children were younger or one of us would had to do any work. If it’s advertised, it should be available…..The main irritation was the supply of cleaning and sanitary supplies. On arrival, there was one toilet roll each and no general cleaning supplies. Also, such basics as salt/pepper/olive oil were missing. The result was that we had to purchase everything new and as we were only there a week, left numerous items half-used at best - a complete waste of money. We had a car, so could transport these things once bought, but for those hoping to do without, it would be irritating. When one considers the cost of the villa for a week, especially one of this quality, it seems ‘tight’ in the extreme not to provide a more basic range of cleaning products, such as washing up liquid, surface cleanser, bin bags, etc. Just stick an extra 10/20 on the property and reduce waste markedly.Despite this we had a wonderful relaxing week in a beautiful location.

Stunning location

We had an amazing stay in Villa Gaeta, located on a slight rise just above beautiful Fiskardo, surrounded by trees, with a stunning view on the sea and the island of Ithaca. It’s a 10 min walk into Fiskardo along a country path - Fiskardo is one my favourite places period. There’s a bakery/café less than 100m from the villa which is great for a cheeky iced coffee. The villa is well appointed, clean. Aircon is very effective.

Outdoor cushions mildew stained, laminate hanging of one of the kitchen doors , no aircon in the living and kitchen area other small maintenance issues

Great location, great pool. It had all we needed

Although the weather wasn’t great we explored the local area and made the most of the pool. Fiskardo has many good restaurants and bars.

Lovely Villa, walking distance to Fiskardo

Villa Gaeta was fabulous. Beautiful decor and lovely sized pool with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Beach towels are provided and the views are stunning. Walking to Fiskardo centre was 10 mins and stunning. Very low crime rate in Kefalonia so walking back at night I felt safe and at ease. Enjoy

Amazing

We booked this villa after we found it during a stay in Fiscardo last year. We booked through Greek Island Retreats. Bob provided a prompt and professional service, arranging transfers from and to the airport. The villa was as advertised but the photos do not do the view justice at all. Villa well stocked with all the essentials and cleaned twice weekly by a lovely friendly lady, whos name I have sadly forgotten. The villa is situated just on the outskirts of Fiscardo, a slow 10 minute walk. I would highly recommend Greek Island Retreats and Villa Gaeta.

Villa Gaeta August 2016

Excellent service from Bob and Greek Island Retreats. The villa is well equipped and clean, great location a short drive or walk into Fiskardo. Beautiful views from poolside. Emblisi beach (closest to the villa) was our favourite - crystal clear water and fresh food and drink available all day. We had a great day out hiring a boat and sailing to local bays and across to Ithaca. Well worth the effort. Beautiful island, wonderful villa, would definitely visit again

A wonderful week at Gaeta - The villa was as expected, spotlessly clean, beds comfortable. maid came each day and pool cleaned and checked each day, beautiful views. You could not fault the contents. The only two downsides was that the TV only had BBC World and something to drink on arrival would have been appreciated! Walking distance to the harbour and all the restaurants if you turn left out of the entrance, onto footpath over the fields.By road 5 mins in car. Problems are sorted immediately. Fantastic Fiskcardo Villa

Before we arrived I wondered if the villa could be as good as the pictures on the website. In fact the actual villa surpassed our expectations. The villa was immaculate and the layout was perfect for all our family with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The pool and views from the terrace were superb! Bob at Greek Island Retreats whom I booked the villa with was excellent to deal with and answered promptly any queries I had. We have been to Fiscardo a few times over the years and it is probably our favorite place in Greece with excellent restaurants and facilities. Overall I would recommend this villa and Fiscardo to anyone who likes Greece and comfort.

Lovely villa, great location

This is a very well located villa, about five minutes walk down the hill to Fiscardo harbour (and about ten minutes back!). It's also walkable to a very pretty beach. There are lovely views out to sea and a good-sized quite deep pool for swimming. Dealing directly with Bob to make the booking was very straightforward. It was kept spotlessly clean by the maid who lives nearby. The kitchen was well equipped and there are comfortable seating areas.

Great villa in a great location

Gaeta pretty much ticks all the boxes when it comes to choosing a villa in this area. Apart from being a well designed, well maintained and generally easy to live with home, its location is excellent too. Emblisi beach, Fiscardo harbour and the supermarket are all within a 5-10 minute walk and yet you still feel a sense of splendid isolation when relaxing on the patio by the pool. We had a couple of little niggles which were sorted out immediately by Bob the owner and Panos, the local manager, and the maid service was frequent and discreet. The villa is immaculately clean and freshly painted. The 'hard beds' mentioned by a previous reviewer we found to be very comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gaeta, or its neighbour Villa Roberto, which (from peeking through the hedge) appears to be a 'handed' version of Gaeta. Both excellent places.

Lovely setting

Wonderful welcome from Venadia the housekeeper, during our stay nothing was to much trouble She even did our washing when the washing machine would not work. The property was well maintained and clean and just as listed However the beds are hard and the sofa bed in bed 2 even more so and the main bed in that room is only a 4 foot so husband and wife spent holiday sleeping apart. Lovely beaches nearby, Fiscardo is beautiful and a short walk down the hill. We hired a boat from Regina by the ferry landing and ate in lots of local restaurants , the best being Iridas and Nicks Taverna overlooking the bay. Assos was stunning but didnt really like Myrtos beach as overcrowded, no shade and no restaurant. All in all lovely stay would recommend.

Fantastic location, amazing views and layout

We just returned from a wonderful week in Fiscardo and can't say enough about the excellent value for money of this villa. Amazing views and excellent location - a 5 minute walk to both the beach with crystal clear water and also to the idyllic harbour town of Fiscardo with lots of lovely bars and restaurants. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us, we loved lazing by the pool and the local property managers were charming and helpful.
