We really enjoyed our stay here in Donegal, exploring the coast and countryside of this north western corner of Eire. There's lots to see and do and the mountainous terrain of Donegal is wild, lonely and very picturesque with lots of quiet lanes and byways to explore.
The cottage is a good size and very comfortable. Pretty well everything we needed for our stay was there, including a nice selection of food items to get us started with our first breakfast. The setting by the small lake is lovely, it's just a shame that it's not possible to appreciate it fully from the cottage itself since it's set back to the side and behind the main house. However, on a good day, it would be possible to sit out by the lake and enjoy the tranquil setting - unfortunately we had rather a lot of rain so couldn't do that!
Christina and Ben were wonderful hosts, offering suggestions of where to go and what to see, even offering us the use of their bikes if we wanted to use them, and keen to make sure that our stay was an enjoyable one.
We would heartily recommend this cottage to anyone who wanted a quiet stay in Donegal.
