Luxurious 2-bedroom/ 2 bathroom penthouse apartment with 4 terraces, providing panoramic views of the mountains, and sea views from the roof terrace. Situated 10 minutes walk to Lagos old town and the world renowned “Porto de Mos” and “Praia do Camilo” Beaches.

The apartment is part of an exclusive development located just above the old town and has magnificent views. Due to its central location car hire is not essential, most amenities are all within walking distance, and the bus and train service are excellent. The famous beaches are a short walk from the apartment and after a long day in the sun you can enjoy sundowners from one of the the 4 balconies. In the evenings take a casual stroll to the old town which has a huge selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and a vibrant night life. Several local supermarkets where you can purchase all your provisions are also within walking distance.

We welcome families with babies / small children and provide a travel cot and high chair free of charge.

Complex details: This small, quiet and secluded complex has a communal swimming pool, Jacuzzi and kids pool with toilet / changing facilities. There is also communal sunroof terrace which is great for sunbathing. Outside the apartment car parking spaces are plentiful.

For your peace of mind the main entrance to the apartment is accessed via a key pad entry and the apartment is also equipped with video entry phone. The apartment is on the second floor (top floor) and can be access either by stairs or lift. A ramp leading to the apartment entrance provides good wheel chair access.

Beautiful modern spacious apartment. About a 25 minute walk to the centre of the old town with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Great communication with the owner. The only thing is that the panoramic sea views no longer exist as there are three large buildings under construction in front of the property now blocking the view and obscured by cranes. This is a shame for the whole of this area as such construction should not be permitted in this beautiful place. Aside from that the apartment suited our needs as a family of four.

Comfortable apartment a few minute from beautiful beaches

The apartment is very spacious and modern, it has everything one could ask for. Located in a development which is itself surrounded by other developments, it is quiet, if a little bit sterile in terms of atmosphere. You can reach many beautiful beaches by foot (10-15 minutes) but under the scorching sun we usually took the car. I wouldn't recommend walking to the center of Lagos, however parking is available and not too expensive if you land in the right ones. And not a traffic jam in sight even in the middle of the summer. All in all, if you have set your sight on Lagos, this is a perfectly adequate apartment for 4.

Huge and luxurius apartment close to Dona Ana's beach. It's full equipped & decorated with pleasure

We have stayed there for a hole week and it's like being in your own home, everything you would fancy to have you'll find it. It's very good located, only few minutes far from the centre and from some awesome beaches. The relationship with the owner was so nice, being able to talk to her in any moment and if there was any problem having it solve immediately.

Outstanding, really well-equipped apartment. The best overseas rental we've ever had.

Great communication with the owner. Easy to find. Good location within a short drive or walk of beaches and shops. Well equipped, very spacious and perfectly clean. Views of the sea from 2 of the 4 balconies. The pool was rarely busy and we had a wonderfully relaxing stay with our two children aged 10 and 12. We didn't want to come home and we wish we were still there now.

Wir haben einen sehr schönen 3-wöchigen Aufenthalt in diesem Appartment genossen. Das Appartment hält was die Beschreibung verspricht. Ausstattung, Sauberkeit, Lage - alles super in Ordnung. Ob Einkaufen, Strand oder City - alles ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Wer "faul" ist, kann auch mit dem Auto fahren - Parkplätze waren selbst in der Saison frei und ohne Gebühren! Wer mag kann selbst kochen oder Grillen, die Küchenausstattung gibt alles her. Allerdings verpasst man dann die hübschen Restaurants in Lagos. Anmietung, Übergabe und Betreuung vor Ort klappten ebenfalls hervorragend. Die Klimaanlagen in jedem Raum, haben wir gar nicht gebraucht. Die Wohnung ist so luftig, dass sie sich Abends schnell abkühlt.

Wir haben das Appartment für 3 Wochen für 3 Personen (2 Erw. 1 Kind) gemietet. Um es kurz zu sagen: das Appartment hält was es verspricht! Die Lage - Strand, Einkaufen, City - ist ideal, alles ist zu Fuß erreichbar (bzw. für die ganz faulen per Auto, da die Portugiesen die Parkgebühren noch nicht als Einnahmequelle endeckt haben). Die Ausstattung und das Platzangebot sind super. Wer mag kann kochen oder grillen, die Küchenausstattung ist vollständig. Allerdings verpasst man dann die hübschen kleinen Restaurants in Lagos. Auch die Anmietung bei Frau Ellis und die Übergabe und Betreuung durch Sheila vor Ort klappte unkomliziert und war gut.

Amazing!!

This apartment is amazing. Exactly what we needed for a week of relaxation! The only down side is that we didn't stay longer! There are two lovely beaches about a 10 minute walk away both serving food and drink. The old town is beautiful - we walked down every night. All in all I would recommend this to all my friends and hope to go again very soon.

Estuvimos una semana con nuestros hijos (16 y 14) y debemos decir que es un lugar excelente. El apartamento (nuevo) resulta amplio y cómodo, está muy bien ubicado (una zona muy tranquila a 10-15 minutos caminando del centro y de las playas), perfectamente equipado y limpio. Supera incluso a lo esperado por las especificaciones de la web. Totalmente recomendable.

I stayed at the Villa with my family at the beginning of August. The apartment was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a great time and can't complain about anything. The Agent met us when we arrived and showed us around and explained everything to us, very friendly and was there when we left to return our deposit. The pool area was very clean and well kept. We had a great time and will be returning again. Definitely recommend this Villa to my friends. The booking procedure was easy and the owners were only to happy to help with any questions I had. The area itself was very quiet and peaceful. Great place to escape from everything.

Enjoyed our holiday in Lagos at Villa Ancora

My husband and I stayed in this lovely apartment for 11 nights in June. Kornelia Ellis, the owner, is very friendly and promptly answered all my questions by phone or email before our departure, including recommending a company to collect us from the airport and take us to the apartment - they even stopped at a supermarket in the town so we could pick up some groceries to save us going out later on our first day there! We found the apartment itself to be very spacious, spotlessly clean and well-equipped with attractive modern furniture and decor. The owner's agent met us on arrival to show us round and answer any questions we had. She was really helpful and it was nice to see her again just before we left at the end of our holiday and to know she was in the area if we'd had any problems during our stay. We really enjoyed the pool area which, again, is spotlessly clean and beautifully landscaped and maintained. The jacuzzi is wonderful, although it took us a while to work out how to turn it on (there's a switch mounted on a post in the garden between the paddling pool and the main pool)! Lagos is a pretty little town with numerous gift shops, cafes and restaurants. The restaurants get really busy later in the evening so if you prefer to eat late, say after 8 pm, you're probably safer to book the more popular ones in advance. Many of the restaurants are good; we particularly liked Don Giovanni, Don Toro steak house (my husband liked the ribs so much we went back twice) and the International Cafe (wonderful burgers, paninis, salads, breakfasts and home made scones with real Cornish cream - try finding real cream elsewhere in Lagos!). All these are in the town centre (look the addresses up on the web); we'd also recommend Borsalino Italian restaurant, which is a bit further out from the centre (see Trip Adviser reviews). We had a lazy holiday and didn't hire a car (the bus service which runs past the apartment down to the beach or, in the opposite direction the town, runs quite frequently, although we didn't try it). The beach at Porto de Mos is lovely and only a 10 minute walk from the apartment (longer going back up due to the quite steep hill). We also went out on the dolphin watching trip with Seafari who were excellent (look out for their red and white boat). We saw a special price advertised their shop in the town for a trip the next day, which saved us EUR10 each. All in all a great holiday.
