Very Tired

The property was once very nice but it is now very tired. Everything is old and unfortunately the shower drain in the 2nd en-suite is blocked and smells.I had to stop using it , open the window and close the door.The sofas are very tatty and all the kitchen utensils are very old. Many of the plates are cracked and poor quality and the TV speaker is shot.Melisa could not have been nicer to deal with. She was very helpful. As it happens I was staying with just my son and so it really it didn’t matter about the condition but a larger family or if I was with friends the condition would have been a nuisance and very disappointing. You can do better!

Not a luxury villa but could be with some TLC

We stayed at the villa in April 2022 and enjoyed our stay overall, however, there are many things that could be improved to make this a luxury villa. The TV package and internet is poor due to the rural location. The TV package has many English and International channels but it's unwatchable due to the slowness of the internet. Very frustrating when you want to watch some channels from home in the evening but every few seconds it pauses and goes to a black screen. We also had a couple of infestations of ants and flying insects. We understand in hot climates these are common but generally feel the villa needs a deep clean and a treatment all round to stop further infestations occurring. Also the villa needs updating and renovating as the one bathroom has been renovated but other rooms are a little tired. Also in the new bathroom, the shower is set to 'scolding' and no way of turning this down cooler as the dial does nothing. Pool area is very nice and private but foliage and trees need to be kept trimmed and under control as a lot ends up in the pool regardless of weekly clean and pool cover kept on when not in use. Location of villa was great even though very difficult to find initially. Owner needs to give more markers of buildings so it makes it easier to find as street names in Fuerteventura are difficult to see even in daylight. Also, the folder in the villa needs updating with key contacts such as Property Manager as these are pointing to the old management contacts which is no help at all. Overall, we had a good holiday but didn't feel the villa was good value for the price paid. Generally, all the issues raised here needs addressing before this property is listed as 'luxury'.

Great pool area, nice house

We enjoyed our stay. The house is well arranged. Some of the bathrooms are very new. Some things in the house are very low and not well suited for tall people. The outdoor area with the many plants is very nice. One thing should definitely be changed: there is no big table where all eight possible residents can eat together. The small table in the kitchen is unfortunately not suitable for eating either, as the chairs do not fit the counter. Tall people cannot sit here. If you are more than four people, there is no dining table in the house. So if there is strong wind or rain, there is no possibility to eat indoors with a larger group. This could easily be solved by moving the furnitures in the living room and putting a large table there. There would definitely be space in the house. Otherwise, I can recommend the accommodation without reservation. The landlord is very nice and responds very quickly.

Casa bellissima spaziosa, posizione perfetta.

Abbiamo passato un vacanza stupenda. La casa è molto accogliente spaziosa, con una bella piscina e un bel giardino. zona molto tranquilla e vicina al centro di Lajares. Posizione ideale tra El Cotillo e Corralejo.

Positiv: * Schönes Haus, sehr schöner Garten, großer Pool * Netter und entgegenkommender Vermieter Negativ: * Massives Taubenproblem besonders am Essplatz und am Pool. Hier muss dringend etwas unternommen werden. * Weder innen noch außen ein Tisch für 8 Personen, obwohl das Haus für eine Belegung mit 8 inseriert wird. Ein gemeinsames Essen ist somit nicht möglich.

To old, to dirty

When we arrived, we had a first good appreciation because of the space and the nice garden and pool. But then, if we have a look, the house was not so nice. First, it was dirty, a lot of « little things » doesn’t works like: - problems with toilets - no pressions on the showers - the tea machine is broken - the door in one of the bathroom is broken - the window stores are broken or old So my guest and I where not really happy to stay there. But I want to thanks the manager who did her possible to fix the problems and I want to thanks the cleaner who where really pro and nice. We will not go back in this house.

beautifiul and spacious private villa in ideal location

Myself and my partner had 8 magical days at this really lovely villa. It is extremely spacious and well looked after. It is very homely despite its size. Every bedroom opens out onto the pool terrace which is really nice. There are plenty of sun beds and chairs and the pretty wicker dining table seats 8 easily. You can sunbathe on the top terrace or around the side of the terrace as well - plenty of space and its very peaceful and relaxing. The pool is really a gem here. It has a 6 ft deep end and goes to shallow steps. Really clean and it is a big pool! It is very private here, you feel safe and secure and its a perfect place to relax and chill out. The lovely beaches are only 10-15 minutes drive away and there are some really lovely places to eat locally. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone. We didn't want to come home and we shall be going again!!

Okay but could be much nicer.

Overall a little disappointing. Internally the villa is a little tired inside and the layout is awkward. New pillows and matching linen would also be a welcome improvement. But the garden is pretty and the pool is a great size.

Stayed with friends in March 2018, comfortable well equipped property a short 15 minute walk into Lajares or 10 minutes to our favourite Return bar. Spacious outside space, the only minus was the foliage was very overgrown around the pool area just needed a trim back

Lovely holiday in Lajares

We were 5 (2 couples and 1 child of 9 year) to come to Lajares end of december 2016. The house was great (even too big for us) and met all our expectations. Price/quality is very good. And a special thanks to Melissa, the manager, who gave an excellent follow-up. Every question or request was dealt with immediately. Thanks to her, we found a superb hairdresser, the pool temperature was adjusted the same day, the broken lights were fixed also the same day, ... The village of Lajares is a very nice place to explore Fuerteventura. I hope it stays as it is, away from crowdy Corralejo. We enjoyed our stay so much, we are planning to come back end this year ! Lovely villa - very clean & organised & private - owners were on the phone to help us find it too!

Everything was fab - from the wifi to the mosquito screens on every door & lanterns outside for alfresco dining. Lajares as an area is volcanic (not leafy & green) and interesting - beaches at El Cotilla & Correljo are great fun and only 10-20 mins away - so whatever you want to do this makes a great base. Equally the pool at the villa was clean & well maintained.

Spacious, well appointed villa in a great location

We loved our stay here :) The villa is terrific, finished to a high standard and had more than enough space for eight adults. It is fairly secluded and only borders one other (unoccupied) property, yet is close to local shops and restaurants, with greater variety available in nearby Corralejo. We were on a group photography trip and could have easily shot at the villa every day - as it was, we only shot there on the one day when it wasn't 26C (in February!) :D I will be recommending the property to other photography groups. The only problem we had, was initially connecting to the WiFi, but the property manager was always quick to respond to enquiries. I am unable to think of a single bad point, so I happily recommend the villa as a holiday home, as well as a base to explore the island from.

It is a beautiful,luxurious villa.

We have stayed here 3 times as we love it so much. It is very spacious and has everything needed for a family holiday. All the furnishings are beautiful and well cared for. The grounds are spectacular,having a wide selection of colourful plants as well as space for ball games. An added bonus for us is that it is all on one level, which has been helpful for my mother who has limited mobility. The family who own the villa and their manager have always been extremely helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend staying here.

We were looking for a spacious property in a tranquil setting, but somewhere that was also close to local amenities and the beautiful beaches that the area is renowned for....Lajares was the perfect location.

The villa is only a 30 minute drive from the airport. We hire a car and collect it at the airport...its there waiting for us as soon as we arrive, no hassle at all and we can very easily help you organise this. However, there are many taxis and local transport is reliable and frequent.

We love to swim in the pool, sunbathe on the terrace and get the bbq going with fresh food bough locally and just relax amongst the beautiful surroundings.
Its lovely to drive into Corralejo for a meal or a spot of shopping! The sea and stunning beaches are only a 15 minute drive away. Surfing and kite flying are popular amongst locals and visitors alike, with many organised surf school available. Personally, we love to get the bikes out and cycle to El Cotillo or Corralejo, many cycle tracks are now in place. The local town Lajares is a 5-10 minute walk away and it has a pharmacy and a local health food store that offers massages, yoga and other alternative therapies. There are restaurants and cafés that serve lovely food and snacks. It is simply a fabulous place to be...
