A very welcoming cosey cottage and we really enjoyed our stay. It is very well equipped and convenient for the beach and pub, but just a few niggles, wet room very small, fan oven very noisy and the bottom of the fridge was wet when I emptied it on leaving this morning.

The most important things I want from a holiday booking is:Comfortable bed and seating.CleanlinessLocationParkingSecure gardenAmenities- fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. This cottage had all of it plus more. Large garden, summer house, conservatory. A very handy room to lock dogs in and wet boots etc.Walking distance to pub with bakery.Walking distance to lovely, dog friendly beach.Secure parking behind a gate, driveway positioned by front door so easy to load and unload.

A really nicely appointed cottage for a lovely relaxing week away. It’s an easy walk to the pub and very handy to get on the coast road to tour round. Ozzie the dog loved the pet friendly garden to run round in.We could have done with an instructions book for some of tha appliances but we worked it out eventually.

Love the setting, ideal for our dogs tho their barking for the ball may have upset the locals as 1st day we recieved a threatening note through the door!Love the cottage, you have to wash any utensils, crockery we used as previous as wasnt cleaned properly.
Squabs nesting in the garden. We watched them leave the nest and learn to fly with mama

Schickes Haus in Norfolk

Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen. Das Haus verfügt über alles was man sich wünschen kann und atmet Ambiente. Holmes next the sea ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für north Norfolk. Eine klare Empfehlung für Gäste die Natur suchen oder Interesse an historischem haben.

Great location. It was v hot that week so couldn’t use the conservatory.Kitchen was well organised. Also would be better if there was less furniture in lounge. We are also quite large so found it difficult to shower in the wet room. That all said this was not massive issues and we were extremely happy with the location and beautiful garden.

Great location

Great location for walks and wildlife. Handy for historic homes too. The cottage is well equipped and has a lovely garden. Good parking on property. Lots of places to eat within a short car ride as well as the local pub.The only drawback for adults is arrangement of furniture which, while tolerable and did not put us off, would probably better suit a family with children.

Quiet and relaxing.

On entering found this cottage clean and airy, nice size laundry room with plenty of space to store our shoes, bags etc, good size under counter freezer and clothes washing facilities, downstairs toilet and wet room handy for my slightly disabled father. lovely garden with plenty of seats, in fact found plenty of everything, ie cups, china ware, cutlery, coat hooks on practically every door and plenty by front door, my husband, myself and my father were very impressed with the whole set up. The beds were very comfy, lovely deep mattresses and a nice height, my back didn't play up once, my father usually has a bit of difficulty getting in and out of bed with his arthritic problems, but he was very comfortable and no mobility problems with these mattresses. A nice view from every window, it took my husband and me 7 minutes to walk to the beach, turning right out of the cottage driveway takes about 10 minutes, if that, to the local pub and on route is a small green where we could walk the dog. There is only one wardrobe but it's a triple one with plenty of hangers, each room has chests of drawers, we found there was plenty of room for clothes. Enjoyed a lovely deep hot bath in the upstairs bathroom, there is also a shower over the bath which is more of a handheld type. Although there are stairs, my father didn't find these difficult as they are not deep steps, the stairgate at the bottom of the stairs is a good safety precaution. Wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Peaceful Cottage Great for the dogs

We had the perfect stay at Jasmine Cottage very peacefulThe dogs loved the grass to play on. The Deer are still in the garden in the early mornings even with the Gates closed. Which was nice to see, But! there are not many shrubs left in the garden that have not been eaten. The walk down Beach Road to the sea takes about 5 minutes with the dogs, and 15 minutes to get back when the dogs are worn out.If you have dogs I thoroughly recommend Jasmine Cottage.

Loved every minute

We absolutely loved our stay at Brick and Flint cottage. The cottage was lovely and spacious and the garden was huge. So much to do nearby and amazing walks from the doorstep.We would highly recommend staying here.

Comfortable cottage in a beautiful area

Jasmine cottage has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay away from home. I went with my daughters, and a small dog, to explore the area and do plenty of walking. November is a great time to go. The beaches are mostly empty. Bird life is amazing. There are lots of trails as well as the Norfolk coastal path. I am vegan and one daughter is veggie. There is a great cafe on the beach in Old Hunstanton that has great choices. RSPB sites close by. The beaches are wonderful to walk on. The cottage is warm and the beds comfortable. The shower was a bit weak, but adequate. Bill and Vicky have equipped the cottage with everything you need. We had a really lovely stay.

Brilliant cottage

We loved the cosiness of the cottage, and the fantastic garden which our Springer Spaniel raced around in. The location to the beach and local pub was brilliant. We will definitely be back.

Half term break

Easy to find, lovely garden, fab location. Lounge very gloomy and sofa dominates the room.and is not very comfortable. Other rooms ok. Need chairs in bedrooms.

Holme from Home!

Our 3rd stay at Jasmine Cottage and 6th visit to Norfolk. Would have been more but for Covid restrictions. My friend and I (and a dog each) love the cottage and area. For us it’s perfect, long walks on the beach then short walk to the pub. The cottage is homely, dog friendly and has everything you need Which is why we keep coming back!

We had been looking for a dog friendly place near a sandy beach for many years where we could let our dogs off the lead. We first looked to the South West and then the Norfolk Broads, working our way up and back across the Norfolk coastline until we came to Holme with its fantastic dog friendly beach. It is quieter than Hunstanton and the golf course to the south means our dogs can be let off the lead without worrying about roads. When we found Jasmine Cottage after many years of searching, we knew this was the place for us.

Dog friendly sandy beach 6 minutes walk away, huge at low tide. Hunstanton about 30 minutes walk along the beach or footpath. Short walk to The White Horse pub, featured in The Good Pub Guide. A short drive to several other good food pubs and Eric's, excellent fish and chips (takeaway or eat in) 2 miles away. Also great for bird watching. Shallow sea, great for paddling.
