Beautiful

This condo is absolutely beautiful 🔆. Walking through the door makes you go wow Clean, well stocked kitchen for eating in. The beds were very comfortable with very crisp white linen sheets. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Central location made for walking, just a short 3 blocks to the most gorgeous beach. Felipe ( property manager ) was easy to reach with a quick question after a very seamless check in. Will look forward to returning soon !

A month retreat

My husband and I needed to escape a cold spring and chose Bucerias for a month-long stay. It was everything we expected. This condo has a warm interior and a over-the-top balcony. We spent most of our condo time on the balcony.

The perfect Stay

A lovely, quiet, fully equipped condo that has everything you need for a wonderful stay in bucerias! Exactly as shown and location was perfect for us - note if mobility is an issue for you this condo is on a steep (but short) hill. We did not mind at all and enjoyed our 5 minute walk to the beach. Pool was lovely too and we spent some time there when the wind was too much beachside. We walked everywhere including shopping restaurants etc and caught the collectivo for some groceries. We hope to return to this special spot soon!! Gracias!

Beautiful apartment for a relaxing holiday

We enjoyed our stay in a quieter area of the town, yet close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Staying in a smaller building was much more home-like, and we had everything we needed for preparing drinks and food. The shady balcony was perfect for all times of the day and evening. No need to use air conditioning with the flow of the breeze through the unit. Perfect!

Great Property wonderful view and pool

We were very pleased with the reception from Your property manager. Both he and his wife were very helpful and gracious. The only suggestion I can give is if it was possible to have a few staples like coffee and / or bread on arrival. We came in later in the afternoon very tired and as we had never been in Mexico didn’t feel comfortable going out right away so didn’t have anything to eat or drink till next morning. Otherwise everything was just wonderful. Thank you for supplying such a piece of heaven in Mexico.

A Real Gem

Can’t say enough about this lovely, comfortable condo, and the beautifully kept property. It is well equipped, and the owner has thought of everything- night lights, flash lights, and even the sorbet cups adapted to martini glasses! The property manager and his wife are also so easy to deal with, and provided helpful information. We will definitely return to enjoy the comfort of your lovely home, the wide and beautiful beach, and the fine restaurants that Bucerias offers

A home away from home in Bucerias

Everything about our two week stay was amazing! The condo was exactly as pictured! The patio overlooking the tranquil yard and pool was exceptional. We began each morning with our coffee on the patio and finished each day with a game of cards and enjoying the sunset and ocean view in the distance. We also took advantage of the BBQ on the patio cooking up fresh shrimp and fish we purchased from a fresh seafood market just across the highway. Everything we needed was available to us in the condo during our two week stay. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses and cutlery, the linens and towels were plenty, there was even laundry supplies available, although we brought our own. We are familiar with Bucerias and prefer a location off the beach and closer to the highway as we enjoy daily walks and exploring Bucerias from one end to the other. There are countless restaurants and groceries that are easily accessible whether you prefer to shop at a large franchise or smaller, locally owned markets. Mark was always a quick message away (although once we arrived we didn't need a thing!). Felipe greeted us upon our arrival and we used WhatsApp to connect with him while we were there. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Esther came twice a week to clean and took obvious pride in her work. She left the condo spotless from top to bottom. The small community within the building was very friendly and welcoming and the neighbours gave us a number of tips on restaurants and activities to enjoy while we were there. We can't say enough about this amazing condo! Thank you to Mark for sharing his home with us. It truly is a home away from home! The only downside was having to leave!

Stop shopping! this is the PERFECT condo in the sun!!

I have a real moral dilemma: I love this condo and this city so much that I don’t want anyone else to reserve it ahead of me, because I am definitively going back, but then.....I cannot lie.... My husband and I, and two friends, stayed in Mark’s condo all of February 2020 and I can confirm every single word in the previous reviews. What can I add to convince you to shop no more? How can a vacation place be so perfect? Let me try to find a few reasons not mentioned before: - Have you heard of the town of Trinidad, Cuba, where there is live music at every corner of the old town? Well Bucerías is the same, live music for all tastes, and far from the traditional Mariachis. For example, we loved Oscar, the Friday night singer at Deliociosas Mexicanas Restaurante, a hidden gem only 2 blocks from the condo. - If you are over 50 years old, being able to walk to the 5 star private hospital is a REAL bonus, you never know what health issue may arise at our age. The emergency room was empty so I got the best of medical attention within 2 minutes of arrival! This hospital is so used to Canadian and American clients that dealing with our insurance was a breeze, unlike many other hospitals in other countries. - No need to rent a car: you can do your groceries by foot 6 blocks away ( I always bring one reusable shopping bag per adult), and walk to everything in Bucerías. If you are there a month and have lots of time to kill, use local buses to visit other towns, north and south, very handy, clean, and cheap, a real cultural experience, and most drivers speak a little English. There’s always another gringo on the bus to guide you. But if you are on a one or two week vacation, lots of Uber drivers will come get you in 5 to 10 minutes. - We bought two SIM cards at the TelCel 5 blocks away, across the street from the delicious Pollo Feliz restaurant. The staff of the TelCel installed and activated the card, each card only cost $19 cdn for a month ( plus $2 tip for staff). So cheap but so helpful to call Ubers and consult your map, or find a restaurant, when you are not in the condo. So you find this condo a little more expensive than you had budgeted? Believe me, it is very well priced compared to the local market, because condo is perfect and Bucerías is getting extremely popular. Skip your Starbucks coffee every day, and instead, treat yourself to a glimpse of what heaven will be like when you get there! Michele and Dan from Ottawa, Ontario

Slice of paradise

We traveled to Bucerías with our 2 young boys aged 3 and 5 and stayed at Mark’s wonderful condo for 10 days in December. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Felipe met us upon arrival and answered all our questions. He was also available via WhatsApp for any inquiries. The other people who live in this condo were all so lovely and welcoming. The condo itself has everything you could want - extremely comfortable beds, fresh linens, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture and beautiful Mexican decor. The view from the balcony is stunning, no matter what time of the day. In the morning you can see the ocean (one day we saw dolphins jumping in the water) and in the evening the sunsets are incredible. You will never want to leave. The condo has lovely cross-breezes that kept the apartment cool and we never needed the A/C. On top of this, the pool is so lovely for relaxing and cooling off. Our kids absolutely loved swimming in it every day. The walk to the beach, though steep, is absolutely worth it and isn’t so bad really. Then you’ll be rewarded with a stunning beach which was never very busy. The water is beautiful. Mark’s condo also had everything we could ask for - excellent beach umbrellas, boogie boards, chairs and even sand toys for the kids. There are so many restaurants in town, and some excellent street food on the other side of the highway. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We are already dreaming of when we can return.

So easy to settle in...

Relax in paradise

Very relaxing. Best beach within a short 3 blocks. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella and boogie boards provided. Or if you prefer, a wonderful pool downstairs.

Do you like perfection?

I just left there Saturday (3/30/19) and I had myself a big whine leaving. The spacious, well-equipped condo is just perfect. There is everything you need! The beds are big, the sheets are crisp and wonderful, the ceiling fans, fans on stands, a/c, washer and dryer, movies, games, tv! Sheesh! You’d think I was home! The veranda’s view is my favorite. I went to Mexico with a friend and she had to pull me off the verdana most nights long after it was dark. It’s quiet, a short walk to the beach, a hike up the hill but we started to like the challenge. It’s secure and the neighbors are friendly. Mark was the BEST host as he was nothing but glad to help with anything I asked. Ana cleaned so well, Felipe helped with so much too. Thank you Mark and Amy! We hope to be back soon! Well worth repeating.

Just what we needed!

Our crew of five, including our 6 yr old, had the most relaxing and lovely stay at Condo Velmar. Mark and Amy have a perfect condo in a perfect location and were generous, responsive and perfect hosts. Filipe (property manager) and Ana were amazing, accommodating and helpful too. The other condo residents were welcoming and the pool was a perfect place for our son to learn to swim! The view is probably my favourite part, nothing like morning coffee overlooking the ocean. Thanks for letting us stay and we hope to be regular visitors.

Condo Velmar is very spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the bay. The sunsets and gentle breeze on the veranda are fantastic. It is located in a quiet part of Bucerias but within minutes of the beach, restaraunts etc. Mark & Amy have made this condo over the top with details that are just like home. Also, Felipe the manager makes sure your needs are met as well. We are already booked for next year !!

Wonderful condo, great location

Exactly like the pictures. Great patio with ocean views. Condo has everything you need and a short walk to the beach, town and great restaurants. Planning our next vacation here!

Verandtastic!

The most stunning views from this well appointed condo! Relaxing with coffee in the morning, Carona by the pool in the afternoon, and a glass of Vino to watch the sunset were all part of our amazing vacation. The condo is clean, has great beds, nice towels & sheets and everything you need to cook. That said, you should not plan to cook as there are too many amazing places to eat within walking distance.  I particularily appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella which we used for our daily beach time! Did I mention the veranda? Worth mentioning again ... LOVED IT! There is air conditioning but, we did NOT need to use it once as there is always a lovely breeze. Special mention needs to be made about the owner, Mark is by far the best host you will ever deal with! Quick to respond to all my questions, kindly made recommendations, followed up before, during and after to ask if things were good or if there was anything he could do for us. Kuddos to the very attentive property manager Felipe who was there to greet us (with a big smile) when we arrived and provide a detailed walk through … there was even a big beautiful vase of fresh flowers for us to enjoy! Such a nice touch. Overall terrific experience and a property we will return to again. We truly felt comfortable and like we made new friends in Mark & Filipe.  Thanks for everything!!

I've been visiting Bucerias off and on since 1989, and Amy since 2005. The town has become our home away from home, escaping frigid Cleveland winters for a few weeks each year. We've really enjoyed having our kids here over time, and Velmar 4 will be an ideal winter retirement home for us down the line.

Amy & I were drawn out to the most amazing veranda we'd ever seen,. We immediately recognized, after looking at so many other properties, that THIS WAS THE PLACE. At the time there was a perfect confluence of helpful realtors, favorable exchange rates and a buyer's market that convinced us to move on it. The fact that we have ocean and mountains views sealed the deal.

Velmar was designed and built by Carlos Gonzalez, a talented designer who has dominated the construction of the subdued condominium style prevalent in Bucerias -- quite unlike the many large, all-inclusive hotels south of town in Nueva Vallarta. There are only five other units at Velmar, which is exactly the right-sized, secure, quiet building we sought.
