Disappointed

Having stayed recently we hate to say we were rather disappointed. The apartment is generally rather tired and in need of a refurb. The kitchen in particular is very badly appointed with only 2 plug sockets, an ancient toaster (it would be quicker placing the bread on the windowsill!) we had to ask for a kettle (in fairness this was provided straight away) The apartment was huge, but only 1 freestanding fan (Marzia was fab and managed to source one more for us) but for a 3 bed apartment without ceiling fans we would really expect at least a fan per bedroom as a minimum. The electric sockets are also somewhat dodgy - many only work if the lights are kept on! The adjacent restaurant (run by the same company) is hideously expensive - we only paid for drinks outside but still had an €18 cover charge for sitting there!

We are always open to suggestions and constructive criticisms from our guests and we are very happy to comply with their requests, whenever possible. The fan and kettle where provided immediately as you have stated yourself and you would have been more than welcome to a new toaster if you had informed us that the one present in the apartment was not working properly. There isn't normally need for ceiling fans in the apartments as the villa is cool and the rooms are airy with plenty of windows overlooking the park. Unfortunately it was exceptionally hot during your stay. Apart from this we find it rather sad that you completely failed to mention the character and charm of this 1700 villa wih its spacious, light, tastefully furnished rooms or the beauty of the scenery and surrounding park and there is no mention of any of the amenities, such as the lovely pool, the free wifi and satellite tv.. The restaurant, one of the best in the area, is not run by the same company however it grants a reasonable discount to our guests, who find it a nice alternative when they wish to eat out without having to take their car. Thank you for your feedback, we will definitely consider your suggestion of ceiling fans in the bedrooms as a future improvement for our guests' comfort.

Large, rustic, rural villa apartment

Something a little different perhaps. I knew from the on line blurb that the apartment was a good size, but it felt huge! There was certainly more than enough room for everyone to have their own space... Inside and out! The swimming pool was lovely ... Given the temperatures, it would have been nice to be able to use the pool later in the evening too. It's situation makes it a good place for exploring Tuscany, especially Florence and Pisa. Lots of lovely local restaurants.
