Perfect spot for two! Ideally located, well appointed and very comfortable.

This cute two storey dwelling has everything you need. Loved the view of the ramparts and river at the back. Highly recommend it. Perfect base for exploring the area.

Wonderful location with view of city walls and towers. Historic building with wooden beams. Very easy parking just in front of apartment. Small downstairs equipped kitchen with steep staircase to upstairs bedroom and bath. Great value in walking distance (steep uphill) to lovely town. Very slow internet. Great stay for two persons.

Beautiful old gite in the heart of Semur en Auxois

Old and historic building, tastefully and stylishly furnished. Good location, very close to the town but mostly quiet. Adequate equipment but no microwave or TV. That said, there is loads to do in the town and surrounding region. Recommended!

Charming place in a great town

What a sweet little place to stay. Close to the centre of town but also along the river, and very quiet outside of rush hour (which isn’t that rushed in this town). There isn’t a separate lounge, but there is a seating area in the bedroom upstairs, and the wifi connection is pretty good there and at the nearby desk. Water pressure and temperature in the shower was really good. I appreciated all the little touches like supplying coffee and shampoo. Would stay again!

Petit gîte plein de charme, extrêmement bien situé, cadre idyllique, simple dans l'équipement mais tout à fait suffisant pour notre séjour où nous avons pu rayonner aux alentours de Sémur;Et le gros plus, un très bon matelas d'un joli lit en fer forgé.

Très bon sejour

Arrivée par forte chaleur. Très bon accueil de la propriétaire. Semaine partagée entre des visites touristiques et un magnifique stage de sculpture.

Charmant weekend dans un cadre authentique

Nous avons passé un weekend très agréable dans cette maison authentique, tout à fait dans le ton de nos pérégrinations historiques. Situation parfaite au pied de la ville médiévale, qui est à d'ailleurs à découvrir absolument ! Parking facile, accueil très agréable, tout est faisable à pied. Le logement est situé dans une rue calme. Entre le chant des oiseaux et le clapotis de la rivière, nous nous pensions à la campagne. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Maison ancienne pleine de charme.

Super accueil de l’hôte et emplacement idéal. Dommage pas de volets à la chambre et éclairage public à côté de la fenêtre. Confort moyen du lit pour 2 personnes. Je recommande malgré tout cet hébergement

Lovely cottage for 2 under the Ramparts of this beautiful medieval town.

Absolutely charming cottage for 2 people in the pretty village of Semur en Auxois, just a stones throw away from the river and town center. There is ample parking just across the road, and a lovely lawned area to the side of the property on which to sit and eat lunch or dinner. There is a lovely metal bistro set of table and 2 chairs in the Kitchen to take outside, and we even put them outside the front door in the evening to catch the last of the sun before it set. The cottage has a lovely Kitchen with dining table and chairs, equipped with pans/cutlery/crockery etc. There is a coffee maker and the owner, Evelyne, who is just as charming as her lovely holiday cottage, very kindly supplies Coffee and filters. There is no kettle, but we just used a pan on the hob for hot water for cooking. There was also washing up liquid/cleaner etc, so no need to purchase those from the local supermarket. We cooked in the kitchen a few times, and had everything we needed. If you want to eat out, there are a number of lovely restaurants in the town, and Les Minimes just down the road from the cottage was very nice indeed. We also ate in Le Saint Vernier, which served very tasty reasonably priced food, the Saute of Poulet avec Epoisses was divine. The bedroom and bathroom are very roomy and again there was shampoo/shower get etc in case you'd forgotten yours. The view from the bathroom window of the river below is wonderful. The bedroom has a cupboard and clothes rail with hangers which was very useful. There was also a table and 2 arm chairs. Plug sockets were plentiful. The bed was a bit on the soft side for our taste, but everyone has different tastes when it comes to mattresses, so would suit others I'm sure! The cottage is situated just under the Ramparts of the town and so a short but steep walk into town takes a couple of minutes. Be sure to go to the Tourist office and ask for the circuit map - follow the brass triangles on the pavements around the town to get a good idea of what's going on. We had a lovely time here, and would love to return one day. Many thanks Evelyne.

Small and full of character very central for the town and local attractions

Enjoyed our stay very old building with loads of original timbers. There is parking and a small area to the side to sit next to the river. It’s a very unusual property only for a couple or a single person. The position is perfect for the town bars and restaurants .

Tolle Ferienwohnung

Wir haben sehr schöne 5 Tage dort verbracht und mit dem schönen Wetter die Rasenfläche neben dem Haus mit genutzt. Tolles Ambiente und trotz der Nähe zur Strasse haben wir ruhig geschlafen, das über das Wehr laufende Wasser schluckt die Strassengeräusche komplett! Vielen Dank an Frau Courtois die uns so nett empfangen hat,
