Family wedding

Our family group of 7 traveled from Nova Scotia for a wedding. The house was perfect for us as it has plenty of space for getting together and the 3 different levels also provided privacy for some down time. Check in was easy and the host was very quick to respond to any questions we had.

The place was great! Very large and perfect for our three family group . We really enjoyed the ping pong table, hot tub and multiple living rooms. We had a slight issue with the water one day and Dan was there in 20 minutes and had it fixed in no time! Great host!!! Thanks for a great place Dan!!

Very spacious house accommodated our party of 10 people. The 3 levels of the house provided separate living areas to ensure that everyone had their own space.

Amazing Property for Small Gathering

The property is surrounded by stunning farmland property. House is massive with enough sleeping and living space for a large group. The kitchen is very well equipped and was perfect for making dinner for 10 people. I’d highly recommend this place to any larger group wanting to get together for a weekend away!

Wish we didn't have to leave

Our stay was as most vacations to short however we greatly enjoyed our time at the true North lodge, Dan was great to deal with answering questions whenever we had them. Check in was a breeze as well as checkout. It rained most of our stay so we didn't use the outdoors to much but utilized the hot tub and covered patio area. Very neat home to stay in. Would definitely return!

Great space for large group

We had 12 people with us, ranging from ages 12-75. There was more than enough room for all of us to have our own space but still join in the common area. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with more than enough supplies for our large group. We also had quick replies from Dan and it was an easy check-in and check-out process. Thanks for having us!

Best host ever

Dan and Tim were absolutely phenomenal they were so quick to help us out when we had any questions. They are the greatest hosts ever I cant say enough good things about them. The property is huge and had everything my group needed. Checking in and out was super easy. I would recommend this place and cannot wait to book this again in the future.

Amazing!!!

Hosted a surprise 50th birthday party for my husband this weekend! The house was clean, welcoming, spacious and the beds were so comfortable. We played ping pong, had hot tubs, enjoyed the beautiful sun on the deck, BBQ’d our steaks. It was awesome. We had such a good time, we want to make it an annual event with our friends. Dan was awesome as a host, and he really helped make our experience memorable. Thanks Dan, see you next time! Denise

Great property

Lots of room and areas for a large group. Huge deck which would be great for the summer (we went in the winter). A fire pit in the front and back. The house was clean, while a bit worn, it was comfy and suited our group wonderfully.

Could have been cleaner

It was a convenient location for a wedding at Granary Road. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms were adequate for the whole family. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcoming roses were a nice touch. However, the cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. The much anticipated hot tub was unusable, due to an odd smell and slime, as well as a lighter in it. One of our family members stood on an earring that was on the floor. There were stains on the carpet in one of the bedrooms as well as stains on the bedding in most of the rooms. There was wrapping paper between two beds and some of the plates in the cupboard were dirty. There were also other people's clothing left around the house.The barbeque needed a good clean. This property has the potential to be an excellent place to stay if more attention was paid to the cleaning. The $150 cleaning fee does not justify the cleanliness of the property. We were unable to contact the owner about these points at the time as we were all occupied with the family wedding.

Family get together.

This property was great. Lots of bedrooms spread out over 3 floors so little ones could nap or go to bed and the rest of us could gather without disturbing them. Kitchen was well outfitted with everything we needed to cook and house was clean. We were all able to eat together at the dining table: lots of chairs. Even though there was snow we enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sunshine in the afternoon. Would be a very fun place to stay in warmer weather. We had a wonderful relaxing time here.

Best White Christmas location

Absolutely fantastic property and location!!! An extended family of 10 travelled from Australia for a white Christmas and found this property to be like home. The three levels allowed everyone to live harmoniously together for our 17 days there. The property was extremely well-cleaned, including the hot tub, and our host, Dan, was always on hand if needed. The location was a little out of town, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to everything we needed. We now refer to this property as our "Canadian home". We will definitely be back. Thanks for everything Dan!

House of Horrors

Furnishings are torn and well worn. Not much was as depicted in advertisement. Many heath and safety issues as well. There were holes in the deck, no railings on open stairs. A “ bedroom” in the basement had no window, illegal to classify as bedroom as well as fire hazard There was a build up of many years of dirt in windows and sliding glass doors tracks. The BBQ was so disgustingly dirty we would not want to put food on it. There was no air vents in the main floor bedroom for either heat or air conditioning. The bedding should be thrown out as it’s so worn. No pool table as advertised, the hot tub didn’t work either! I can supply photos for each of these concerns and more

Once we made the move, we realized that Canmore needed to be our home & we rent this home out in order to live in the mountains.
