Got home a week ago today no already ready to go back to our lovely little flat in London! It was certainly a home away from home. The flat was so much bigger than expected; large bathroom and shower, large living room, kitchen combo and a large office to boot. Having a washer was great, it allowed us to only bring carry on luggage.
The balcony was such a wonderful plus too, we sat out there with a glass of wine a few times to enjoy the wonderful evening view. We could see the Rye, the Shard, and Saint Pauls.
The location is great, such a quiet neighborhood. We left for a day trip to Paris early while it was still dark and came home many times after dark. We felt completely safe. It’s only a few minute walk to the tube, which took us everywhere in just minutes, loved the location! There is a cool little local plot pub that we went to the first night, sir Richard Steele pub. Tuesday night half price. It’s great for vegging and watching the locals pack the place. Had the chicken leek pie, delicious! A couple doors down is a nice little market for wine, fresh veggies, yogurt. Also, up the road is a nice walk is a great market with a few restaurants nearby
I got pretty sick a few days after arriving, so it was nice to have sunny balcony to look out at what I was missing, and nice to be able to take naps on the couch, or just read while my husband explored. Happy to report I only missed two days of our 10 day trip, but it was nice to have such a comfortable place to recoup.
