I would summarize this cabin as a step up from camping. You have a roof, beds, hot water, heating, a/c, washer & dryer, so that was all good. But you have mice… lots of mice. Droppings on the kitchen countertops every morning and the morning we left (which was a day earlier than what we paid for because we just couldn’t tolerate it anymore), I was checking to make sure we had everything and there was a mouse in the washing machine! So not a good, comfortable place for any of us, especially the babies. The layout of the house was not conducive for families with children, either. One bedroom was across the hall from one of the bathrooms, so that was good, but going through the second bedroom was the only way to get to the second bathroom and you had to go through both to get to the third bedroom! So very little privacy! The location was pleasant—not overrun with people and the market just a short walk away so that was handy. And not having to drive into the park each day was nice—the lines getting in were long and slow! But most of the popular spots were a long drive away on curvy, scary mountain roads so it seemed like we spent the majority of our time driving and looking for a place to park. So overall our experience was not what we were expecting. I’m sure it would work for some and it was less expensive than some other options, just not a great place for our group.
