Lovely private cottage with amazing views

What a lovely little cottage on your own private piece of land. The views from inside and outside are gorgeous of the Umbrian Valley. The cottage was perfect for 2 and could not be more private. Owner and caretaker were was at our disposal if needed and communication was wonderful. Great base home to visit Assisi. We travel very often and for long periods of time, so we have rented more places than I can count, and I recommend staying at R & R.

Beautiful!

Fine apartment, beautiful environment, view of the entire valley, very nearby Assisi, and a supermarket in the village. A very relaxed place to stay. There were some problems with the boiler, but they were fixed nicely. Good contact with the manager of the residence. Recommended! Eeuwout en Jorine

Accurate review

I’m factoring in price, location, the house and the area for this review and I’ve considered heavily that this villa is very inexpensive compared to others. The views and property are amazing, I’ve stayed in $3000 a week villas that didn’t have as good of a view as here. The area is also amazing, all of the roads and towns surrounding the villa are great, no industrial parks, minimal billboards, lots of local businesses etc.. everything you’d expect from an Italian countryside. Most hilltop towns are easily accessible. The only negative is the house itself. It’s not very inviting and the amenities aren’t the best. A lot of the fixtures are old or run down, and are in dire need of attention, as with most of the house. That said, I would still highly recommend this villa unless you just planned on spending most of your time inside the actual house, if that’s the case look elsewhere. But if you enjoy all Italy has to offer, and basically use the house to sleep in and enjoy some views outside with a glass of wine then this is your place. Especially for the price you won’t find a better villa.

Leider hat die Unterkunft über die Jahre deutlich gelitten, wirkt nicht wirklich gepflegt . Wir hatten einen anderen Standard zu dem Preis erwartet. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist äußerst spärlich, die Terrassenmöbel beschädigt, die Matratzen durchgelegen, an den Wänden blätterte teilweise der Putz ab. Alles nicht wirklich einladend. Zum Glück war das Wetter gut und wir konnten uns viel außerhalb aufhalten und die Terrasse mit ihrem wirklich tollen Ausblick nutzen. Der Kontakt zum Verwalter war verlässlich, hat sich bemüht, die Mängel, die während des Aufenthaltes zusätzlich noch entstanden sind, zu beheben.Unser Fazit: enttäuschend

Geweldig maar ...

De ligging is geweldig, je hebt volledige privacy. Het boven balkon biedt een geweldig mooi uitzicht. We gebruikten de BBQ dus heel vaak. Beneden in de enigszins verwilderde tuin is het uitzicht minimaal. Het huis heeft een goed uitgeruste keuken en verder is alles aanwezig. De Australische beheerders doen goed hun best bij probleempjes. Het huis heeft verder geen enkele luxe en dat is erg jammer voor de optimale beleving.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft, genau wie auf den Fotos. Ruhig, sauber und die Aussicht! Wir waren zu dritt, hatten auch das separate Zimmer und uns in den 11 Tagen sehr wohl gefühlt.

comfort and full functionality of home in nature

we live a city life and have a comfortable home. Travelling is always a challenge, as we are creatures of comfort and being squeezed in a small space is somewhat univiting. This is why my husband and I like to stay in homes. Villa R and R meets perfectly my idea of a home, perhaps because it is really the home of the hosts, and not just a rental property. It is fully equipped with every comfort I could imagine, in the kitchen, laundry room and the airconditioned bedroom. Of course, nothing is ever as comfortable as home, but for that we had the rooftop terrace with its endless views to reimind us what we miss in our city life. Sitting and watching the sunset was moving, with colorful cloud formations in the late afternoon, surrounded by lush green. Grapes were on the vines and we enjoyed the sweetest muscat fresh picked grapes (there was even a utensil in the kitchen we used to make fresh and delicious grape juice). I should also add that we like our beds comfortable and just a little soft. This was perfect. It is not simply that I would recommend this property. I fully intend to return here. It is a dream vacation home. And with this home base, we could find the balance that was just right for us between enjoying the green and beauty of the property and exploring the riches of Umbria and is medieval cities, churches and galleries. fantastic dream property

travelling with friends to see the churches and medieval cities. Villa R and R provided a home, a place of rest, a place of green, a place of charm, a place of quiet. I didn't realize a home away could be so beautiful. It's my first airbnb experience and it makes such a difference to have a home of your own, and in particular one like like this that is so independent and private. just a fantastic experience. It is a good thing we had a car, as it allowed us to travel far and wide and always return to the green and beauty of villa R and R. Highly recommended. I would love to return again. Esther
