This villa was amazing! A huge amount of space with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful family holiday. So well equipped and clean and in a beautiful location with wonderful coastal walks to the nearest beaches and towns. Food in the the local area is just fantastic. The host was hugely responsive and informative. Would highly recommend this villa to any families.

Great villa with loads of facilities

We were a party of 12 staying for a long weekend to celebrate our friends 60th birthday. The villa was great with loads of stuff to to on site, we used everything apart from the turkish bath and had great fun. It's an easy drive to the supermarket, beach restaurants and metro. My only niggle is that the beds could really do with an upgrade. Other than that, we had a great time. Thanks Jose.

Estancia inmejorable

La casa es tal cual las fotos, tiene absolutamente de todo incluso más de lo necesario. Estuvimos una cuadrilla de 7 amigos durante 4 días y la estancia ha sido perfecta. La casa está cerca de todo, supermercado, playa, restaurantes... Como nos ha llovido varios días hemos utilizado todas las instalaciones de la casa. 00% recomendable

Absolutely fantastic property for large family

My family of 9, ages 11-60, spent a perfect July week at this large home. The home was well stocked, clean and offered so many amenities that we changed our plans so we could stay ‘home’ a few more days. The gym, pool and sauna rooms were favorites. Sunset and sunrise walks along the bluffs or beach were a gift. Our host was so helpful and friendly. He welcomed us all and made sure we knew how to operate everything. We highly recommend this property for extended families or groups of friends.

My family from New Zealand came to stay and we all had a fantastic time. There were 8 of us (and one night we had 11) and the villa was perfect for that number. It was so spacious and comfortable and really well equipped. We didn't use the sauna or steam room, but the teenage boys used the gym and of course the pool got a lot of use. We ate at the villa most nights and the kitchen was really well equipped. Lots of really interesting things to do nearby. Can't wait to go back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable with various facilities such as gym, swimming pool, sauna, games room and more that suited everyone of all ages and no-one was bored. Local shops and restaurants are near by which is a benefit. Communication with the owner (Jose) was seamless and friendly with fast response to any question raised. Slight downside was the barking of dogs at times from neighbouring properties hence the 4 star on ‘neighbourhood’ question.

Good experience. Owner was very helpful in assisting with check in. Spaces are large multifaceted and well appointed. Location pretty good for access to Bilbao area locations.

Lovely villa - didn’t have to get the car out to go to the beach

Very spacious house, plenty of room to park, everything we needed to spend a lovely week (towels, condiments, toilet paper etc etc all provided). Taught the teenagers how to play billiards, walked a fabulous cliff walk to see Plentzia, walked often to Sopelena surfing beach - took a couple of surfing lessons - sea at 23 degrees with fabulous waves. Small pebble beach nearer villa with no waves but need water shoes (marked as nudist but when we went only a couple of clothed families). Visited Guernika, Bilbao both by car. Supermarket a bit of a drive. Ate at El Penon on the Sopelana beach - opens at 13:30 and need to book if want to eat outside but very nice. A great week, superb house, very comfortable.

Great Villa for a family Holiday

We booked the villa to celebrate to family birthdays and stayed for 7 nights. we were a group of 8 adults and 5 children. Jose replied to all my queries in a timely manner and was very helpful when booking the villa, in fact he couldn't have been any more helpful. Getting to the villa from Bilbao is relatively simple, we got the Metro to Sopela and then the bus for two stops. Once we arrived at the villa we couldn't help but be impressed, it was very clean and had everything we needed to have an amazing time. There was something at this villa for all of our Group. we did not have enough time to use all the amenities. The Villa is very impressive in the pictures but even more so when you see it in person. We went to Playa Arrietara, this beach is beautiful. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the villa. we found the track not suitable for pushchairs and the main road too dangerous. It is is worth the effort to get to the beach though. We also made the walk to a couple of the restaurants, El Penon de Sopelana and Cervecera Sopela. Both restaurants are lovely and we had nice meals at both. We had an issue with booking taxis due to the language barrier and our Spanish being limited. We would take a phrase book next time. We wish we had hired a car as we would have liked to explore the area more but if you want to hire we were told by tourist office we would have to go back into Bilbao. We had a great time and would not hesitate to book again if ever we visit the Basque country again.

Beautiful Villa in a fantastic location

We stayed for 5 nights in July. The villa had all the amenities required and was better than in the pictures on the site. The villa is in a great location in walking distance to Sopelana, there was a great restaurant which we visited called "El Penon de Sopelana" which I would recommend visiting. The scenery from the villa balcony is outstanding with hills, cliffs and sea all in view. I would recommend hiring a car to make the most of the Basque Country as it is a distance from Bilbao. The owner was very welcoming and he went out of his way to ensure our stay was pleasant. I would definitely recommend.
