We were two couples (in our 60’s) vacationing five days and four nights in Old Quebec City. Our first time vacationing in this incredible, historical, and beautiful City.
Our host Carol was always responsive prior to our arrival, answering questions on a couple of occasions, while offering suggestions to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We’re experienced VRBO vacationers, having rented properties in six States in the US, and (now) two countries. It’s always nice to rent from an experienced, knowledgeable, and professional owner of VRBO properties, as was the case with Carol.
Carol’s home couldn’t be in a better location, being no more than a 5-10 minute walk to the Hotel Frontenac (highly recommend a tour), the St. Lawrence River, and every restaurant or attraction in the Walled City. We parked our van around the corner from the house and never needed it until we packed to leave (@ $10/day, a bargain and a luxury).
The house has been wonderfully updated while keeping all of the charm denoting its 19th century beginnings. Four air conditioned floors (was extra nice, given our hiking up and down the streets of Old Quebec when it was unseasonably warm), the bedrooms were comfortable, everything worked, and we felt “quite at home” our entire stay. The small courtyard outside the lower level was a pleasant area to share a bottle of wine and to relax outside in the evening.
