Dear Future Guests,
Born and raised in Provence, I've been living for the past 15 years in Asia with my family.
Therefore, I have opened the doors to our house in Avignon to travelers from around the world, house, which is also our pied-à-terre when we're on holidays in France.
While we're away, our friend Nadia will be in charge of welcoming you, but I would be more than happy to give you some tips on what to do in Avignon, which I know so well and which I hope you will enjoy as well, and hopefully you will also have the time to visit the gorgeous surrounding areas...
Our favorite things to do:
Lunch in one of the terraces in the city before a movie at Utopia, a true Avignon's institution.
A diner in the magnificent Cour d'Honneur's courtyard, in Joseph Vernet neighborhood.
A sunday morning at Place des Carmes' flea market.
Carpentras' truffle market (during winter).
The Partage des Eaux at Isle sur la Sorgue after having wandered in the antiques sellers villages.
The wine cellars of Châteauneuf du Pape, Gigondas and Vacqueyras to name a few.
An escapade at Saintes Maries de la Mer or Aiguës Mortes.
And why not a trip to Marseille's Vélodrome Stadium.
I will be happy to welcome travelers from around the world!
See you soon,
Marine
