great view and plenty of space but need maintenance

Our stay was pretty quiet and nice. The host was very responsive from before we checked in all the way until we left. He even suggested a chef to us and many other places so that was nice. The view of this property is amazing omg! The decor and set up outside and inside is also beautiful and makes you feel like a home away from home if you are from the caribbean. However there is a lot maintenance needed. The pots and pans are dirty and old. The glasses are dirty and need to be replaced. The toilets were dirty with stain like they were never cleaned. There were spider webs on the bathroom corners and i took a video. In one of the rooms the nightstand is almost falling and they patched it up. The paintings are full of dust which messed up on of my friends who had allergy. I actually took a picture of everything and a video and sent to the host. Besides that on our second day their housekeeping came to wash some laundry from the guests that checked out of the cottage she just entered the house and i wish the host had texted us to let us know because we kinda got scared but she was really nice and did not bother us at all. If you do some major maintenance this place will be a gem.

Beautiful property but with significant problems

The view from Eagle's Base and patio area are spectacular. Maid service was excellent and very clean. Negatives: Security gate to the property was not working which left the premises unsecure, both daytime and nightime.. In fact, there were two people who simply walked up while we were on the patio wanting to see the inside. Patio doors would not lock securely. They could be opened even when locked. Sulphur water in cottage shower was odorous and therefore could not be used for intended purpose-honeymoon couple. A brother and father used it for a few days but had to cart water from the main house to use.. Also, we had to call out for repair initially for alarm system for cottage. Therefore, the $750 that we paid for renting the cottage was a total waste of money. The $1300 extra charge to hold a 3 hour party for 40 guests was excessive considering that we were already renting the villa itself for $4,078.

Amazing!

I absolutely loved this place! I hated that my stay was short at this amazing place. The house was 10/10 condition and the trip was nothing short of fantastic. The view from the pool is absolutely heavenly and I’ve never stayed at such a good place. 5 stars!

Most Relaxing Experience at Eagle's Base

Eagles Base Villa was one of the best vacation homes we have visited. The home layout is perfect for large families. Each room has it's own modern, spa like bathroom. The open space design makes for a large groups to not feel cramped. The villa sits on a hill overlooking the coast of Tobago. You can wake up to the sunset and the birds chirping in your ear. Simply peaceful! We did the beach run one day during our vacation. We enjoyed the villa so much, we did not spend much time elsewhere. Hana, the chef, went above and beyond in her service. Being that we had a large group of Trinidadians, I was worried if the food would be up to to par with their standards. When my husband, a true food snob, gave Hana a thumb's up, I knew I could relax! Tobago is a treat to visit. Unspoiled beaches, simplicity and a culture of hospitality is what the island offers the world. Rent this villa!

Stressful

Beautiful property poor business practices .I was confirmed with full payment 9 months ahead . Owner attempted to cancel 1 week before event because of a better offer he could not resist .Again property is beautiful . Bbusiness practices and hospitality lacking and overlapping of booking should not be th customers problem .Ruined my event with daily harassment to leave property to aaccommodate overlapped booking ..Refuses to admit that it was his fault .

The setting was perfect for our four generation vacation. Beautiful property and wonderful staff.

Everything about the property is exceptional. Excellent taste in decor - crisp and modern while being warm and welcoming. Sandra and Teflin took care of us so well and Colin helped us with all things operational with thanks also to Bas. We had hoped for a special holiday and our hopes were far exceeded. Thank you Danny for the personal touches; we miss our fresh mangoes for breakfast and watching the rainbows over the sea reflected in the pool. We will be back. Warmest wishes, Sue and all

Best birthday and vacation ever

My friends and I took a group of kids, we stayed 4 days. The villa was very clean, comfortable, secure and equip with all the amenities especially in the kitchen. We had loads of fun. The housekeeper was friendly, kind and was always willing to help thank you Ms. S. I also celebrated my birthday there and it could not of been better. The pool was heavenly and at nights beautiful ambiance my group cant wait to go back again thanks so much to the whole team at Eagle Base Villa and Cottage for the ultimate vacation.
