Tuscan Villa with A/C, WIFI and private swimming pool

Villa Il Castagnino nestled in the hills between the medieval towns of Lucca and Camaiore. The farmhouse has been lovingly restored and romantically furnished giving it an air of warmth and refined elegance, surrounded by a splendid garden with extensive lawns (3000m2) filled with the colour and scent of roses and lavender which grow in abundance. Dating back to the 18th Century, the house inside has all the classic features of a typical Tuscan farmhouse: terracotta floors, wooden beamed ceilings, spacious and comfortable rooms. Outside, guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility of this rural setting, and dine al fresco under the grape vines of the pergola, or swim in the pool (The pool is open from middle May to Middle September).The farmhouse (190m2) will sleep up to 12 guests in its 5 delightfully decorated bedrooms with views over the garden and surrounding hillside. Indoors there is fully equipped rustic-style kitchen, living room with ample and comfortable seating and an elegant dining room with wood burning fireplace and A/C.

Catering: The owner of the house has within 5 minutes a renowned restaurant 'Le Meraviglie',

Security deposit cash upon arrival €500 (or its equivalent in £ o $)
Final cleaning: €130 pay in cash on arrival (compulsory).
Additional bed if max. capacity of 12 pax is exceeded: € 100 per week

Wonderful villa in beautiful Tuscany!!

In villa Castagnino you feel at home. A house with an Italian/Tuscan feel, spacious, beautiful and all modern equipment. The beautiful and generous garden also contains a large and wonderful swimming pool. It is wonderful to stay here!!!!The best of all is the nice and warm welcome that our hosts Antonietta, Cesare and their son Flavio gave us. We enjoyed several evenings at their nice restaurant which offered us good food, lovely service and even cake on our wedding anniversary and this only three minutes walk from the house.

Beautiful house in a small village near Lucca.

We apreciated the big garden with a nice pool and outside area with grill and a big beautiful table for 12 persons. The kids could play football and table tennis. If the weather is cold there is a lovely, big fireplace. Antonietta with family were very kind and helpful with food delivery to the house when we arrived late.

Villa Castagnino

Villa Castagnino is a large, family orientated villa set in the hills of Tuscany. It is very spacious and has all the latest modern equipment, yet it retains the feel of a local family home. It is well situated for travel to other towns and cities. Best of all was the warm welcome we received from Cesare, Antoinette and their son both at the villa and their lovely restaurant, which was only a 3 minute walk away - Thank you

Absolutely wonderful villa, amazing gardens and pool

We were 8 adults and 2 small children and Villa il Castagnino gave us a holiday we'll talk about for many years. Stunning, large, well maintained gardens, pool and veranda with outdoor table/BBQ. Very kind and responsive owners. Bedrooms listed as 3 Twins/2 Doubles but were 2 Twins/3 Doubles, sadly one double was not very comfortable. Kitchen would benefit from a good clear out of old pots/pans and replaced. Small suggestions, as overall we were thrilled and delighted to stay in this gorgeous home.

Utmärkt boende med bra ytor för umgänge, både utom- och inomhus. Fin och stor pool. Byn är liten men det finns trots detta 2 restauranger och 2 barer inom 5 minuters promenad. Nära med bil till havet och flera av Toscanas vackra gamla städer.

Beautiful Villa

What an amazing place, so beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. The host were so kind and helped whenever we needed it. The pool is beautiful, salt but you couldnt tell. The kitchen has everything you could need! The views are spectacular and the birds don't stop chirping. At night the garden is full of fireflies. So much space in the grounds you lose eachother. The location is ideal close to Lucca and beautiful villages. The bar across the road was fantastic, so welcoming and karaoke. Can't fault this place and planning on coming back next year

Traumhaft schöne Gartenanlage. Nette Vermieter. Im geräumigen, gut möblierten Haus hat man sich sehr wohl gefühlt auch wenn das eine oder andere insbesondere in der Küche ersetzt oder renoviert gehört.

Super schöner Urlaub

Wir hatten mit 6 Erwachsenen und 7 Kindern eine wunderschöne Woche in Montemagna. Das Haus hat einen rustikalen Charme mit allem was man braucht. Der Aussenbereich ist überragend. Super Pool, toller Garten und sehr schöne Terrasse mit Küche. Antoinetta und ihre Familie sind perfekte Gastgeber und helfen wo sie können. Danke für alles!! Tipp: achtet auf die Poolregeln, der Salzwasserpool ist sehr sensibel.

Sehr schönes Haus

Das Haus ist etwas älter, die Kücheneinrichtung teilweise renovierungsbedürftig. Die Zimmer mit den Einzelbetten extrem klein, die anderen drei schön groß und die Betten bequem. Wohnzimmer und Wintergarten groß und schön. Die Mückengitter an allen Fenstern sind ein großes Plus. Garten und Pool ein absoluter Traum! Lage angenehm, Landwirtschaft und Hunde hörbar aber deutlich weniger schlimm, als manche geschrieben haben. Leider kein kleiner Laden mehr im Ort. Keine Präsente bei Ankunft, auch kein Kaffee etc. vorhanden. Aber der Supermarkt in Camaiore hat samstags bis 20.00 geöffnet und zur Not auch Sonntag Vormittag. Das Restaurant unbedingt empfehlenswert! Die Vorspeise, für mich extra vegetarisch, war ein Gedicht! Check in und Check out vollkommen problemlos und schnell. Italienisch von Vorteil. Alle sehr nett und unkompliziert. Leider hat es 5 von 7 Tagen geregnet, aber der Aufenthalt war trotzdem schön und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Fijn groot huis met mooie tuin

Het verblijf was oké. Jammer dat buitenkeuken alleen een grill was. Het huis zelf is koel en vrij donker, licht gedateerd (inrichting, vaatwasser, wasmachine). Wel veel ruimte met een prachtige tuin met zwembad.

Sehr schönes Haus

Wir waren zu 10 in der Villa und haben unsere Woche genossen. Das Haus ist schön, sauber und nett eingerichtet. Sehr praktisch ist das Schlafzimmer mit eigenes Badezimmer im Erdgeschoss. Das Esszimmer hat eine große Tafel mit genügend Geschirr für 12 Personen. Der Garten und Pool sind auf jeden Fall der Highlight dieses Objekt. Definitiv noch schöner als die Bilder. Der Außengrill und Essbereich ebenso toll zum sitzen und speisen. Es gibt ein paar Minus Punkte wegen den Küchenutensilien die ein wenig veraltet sind , was tatsächlich sehr oft im Mietobjekten der Fall ist.

Schönes Anwesen mit tollem Garten

Wir waren mit befreundeten Familien im Haus und haben die vielen Spielmöglichkeiten im Garten genossen: Trotz April war Wasser im Pool, Tischtennis, Volleyballfeld - super! Bei kleineren Nachfragen oder Problemen war sofort Hilfe zur Stelle. Es gibt direkt von Montemagno sehr gute Biking und Wandermöglichkeiten. Von uns eine volle Empfehlung!

Ein perfekter Ort für viel Ruhe und viel Spaß

Rundum ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Der Pool (Salzwasser) lädt zum fleißigen Volleyballspielen ein und frischt bei heißem Wetter gut ab. Eine Oase zum Wohlfühlen mit einer wunderbaren Außenküche wo abends lecker gegrillt werden kann . Das Haus ist super gepflegt und alles vor Ort was man braucht. Das nahegelegene Restaurant der Besitzer ist jeden Besuch wert. Ein Urlaub, wo die Abreise sehr sehr schwer viel. Ein Ferienhaus wo sich jeder wohlfühlen kann.

Virkelig dejligt og smukt sted

Vi havde den skønneste uge i dette hus med den smukkeste og dejligste have. Vi nød poolen og den overdækkede terrasse utrolig meget. Området omkring Lucca er fantastisk og vi kunne godt have brugt en uge mere. Sidst men ikke mindst er Antonietta og Cesares gæstfrihed og hjælpsomhed helt uovertruffen - de sødeste mennesker. Og maden i deres restaurant, som ligger lige rundt om hjørnet, er helt utrolig lækker. Vi kommer gerne på besøg en anden gang.

tolles Ferienhaus im Nordwesten der Toskana

Das Haus ist schön gelegen in den Bergen ca. 20 Minuten von Viareggio entfernt. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, unser Highlight war der offene Kamin (da es doch im April noch recht kühl war). Es war alles da, was man brauchte. Der Garten ist ein Traum - mit Olivenbäumen, Feigenbäumen, Fußballfeld, Badminton-Netz, Tischtennis-Platte, Pool, Terrasse... Die Vermieter waren sehr nett. Die Verständigung war etwas schwierig, aber irgendwie fand man sich. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen, auch durch die Präsente (Wein, Kuchen). Die Gaststätte der Besitzer ist nah beim Haus und sehr empfehlenswert. Gutes Essen für gutes Geld. Wir kommen gern mal wieder.

Fantastic villa in beautiful location and an amazing host!

We have just returned from a week at Montemagno with our 4 adult children and I can’t praise highly enough the villa, the location and the attentiveness of the host, Antonietta. The villa has everything you would need for a family of all ages or a group of friends, with a large pool, loungers, games equipment, barbecue and seating areas outside along with plenty of indoor space in a very lovely, spotlessly clean and well equipped country property. The house is situated only 5 minutes walk from the village centre, where Antonietta and her lovely family run a very popular restaurant serving delicious food. The location in the Tuscan hills is perfect for exploring Lucca, Pisa and the beaches along the coast in under 30 minutes (a car is essential). We received a very warm welcome and lots of advice on exploring the area which made our holiday one to remember. I would throughly recommend the property and we all agree that we will definitely be returning to Montemagno!

Amazing place

We really loved this place. It was clean and cozy. The garden is fantastic, many different spots to be. The pool is big and the area around the pool is really nice. The owner are the most kind and serviceminded persons, we enjoyed to order food at their restaurent as take away as we had small kids and didnt go out in the evening for dinner.

Ein Traum!!!

Wir waren mit der Familie für eine Woche in der Unterkunft und es hätte nicht schöner sein können. Haus und Grundstück sind ein Traum und die Vermieter sind super nett und herzlich. Ich kann mich den ganzen positiven Bewertu gen nur anschließen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!!
