Overall we (2 couples in our 60's) enjoyed the stay at this home. The location was great for access to Cookeville (nice city) and to I-40 for visiting some state parks and places of interest in mid-Tennessee. We especially enjoyed the Museum of Appalachia north of Knoxville. As advertised, the 2 men found a place to fish and we enjoyed the state park scenery. As far as the house was concerned, we had mixed feelings. The upstairs area was comfortable. However, some of the light switches and the fans did not work. The kitchen had some small appliances which was nice, but lacked basic kitchen cooking utensils (serving spoons, kitchen knives, etc.). The stairs were steep and the downstairs area, although large, contained only 2 twin beds and a full size bed, a small side table, and one lamp. Having access to a washer and dryer downstairs was a plus as was the large attached outdoor porch and chairs. The front porch was nicely done. With the entry gate closed, our 2 small dogs enjoyed being able to run in the large outdoor freshly mowed space. Not having access to internet or a phone number, contact with the owner was not possible during the trip.
