Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it! Our cottages are in such a fabulous location for visiting the St Davids Peninsula and wider Pembrokeshire. And we get so many comments on how the two cottage set up offers the best of both worlds with quieter space where needed alongside being able to eat and hangout together both inside and out. They hold so many special memories I always say they give back to all our visitors! We'd be delighted to welcome you back anytime. Best wishes, Luci, Gareth & Harri

Christmas Break in Solva

We stayed as an extended family and made good use of the separate spaces offered, the weather was very windy but lovely for outdoor walks and activities, with a splendid log burner to chat round the fire and play charades with the grandchildren in the evening! Happy family meals. A very moving visit to St David’s Cathedral also made our stay.

Lovely countryside stay in Pembrokeshire

Wonderful stay at Ffynondewi - Gareth and Luci were very easy to deal with, property as described, kitchen well equipped. Location is quite remote but that’s what we were expecting and did a first big shop on the way in Haverfordwest. the Pembrokeshire coastal path is stunningly beautiful with picturesque Solva and St David‘s nearby. BBQ grill and outdoor space were great. Good number of bedrooms and bathrooms.

Property was nice and big for all of us to stay in. Property in need of maintenance, beds were very uncomfortable.Only one oven working in the barn kitchen. On suite bathroom basin was unusable in the main house due to waste pipe breaking. Hosts communicated very well and quick responses.

Hi Sarah Thanks for your review, We are sorry you found the beds uncomfortable and indeed surprised as we have had numerous comments as to how well people have slept in both cottages. All of the ovens were working fine when we checked, although one does need both, the multi-function selector as well as the temperature selector to be used, for it to operate. The instruction manual for the oven is in the back of the cottage information book. Also I think I chatted with a member of your party on every day of your stay and on every occasion enquired as to whether everything was OK and on no occasion was the oven mentioned. I can only apologise for the fact that the basin waste in the ensuite broke two days before the end of your stay and that it was not possible to get it fixed before you left you left.

Great family venue

A lovely venue for a large family gathering, five children aged from 3 - 14, seven adults and two dogs. Well equipped for dining and socialising. Outside space was ideal both in respect of a secluded garden area for bbq’s and football area for the children to let off steam. The pool table was also a big hit. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The hosts were contactable if needed and quick to respond to any questions. Thanks to Gareth, Luci and Harri for a lovely holiday.

Good base for a great week in Pembrokeshire.

The owner Gareth was friendly and helpful, and we had good communication from him and Lucie prior to our arrival. The properties weren't quite as secluded as we were expecting from the description as the campsite is literally adjacent to them although this didn't cause any issues. The kitchen in the barn conversion is a great social space for a group of 14 adults and teenagers as was the garden and lounge and both properties are equipped with everything you might need. We had a good time and the location is great for exploring the local area and only a short drive to the beaches.

Special Family Weekend

We have thoroughly enjoyed our family celebration weekend at Ffynnonddewi farmhouse and adjoining Ty Dewi. Both accommodations were clean, comfortable, and extremely well equipped, there was nothing we were in need of. Luci and Gareth were warm and welcoming and had kindly left us some wonderful complimentary items to enjoy. A peaceful experience

The house was excellent! A well equiped kitchen, comfy beds, plently of space and games galore. We made full use of the pool table. Downside is you need a car to get to the beach and the rabbit warren of roads is a bit of a challenge. Also was expecting more of a view from.the house. I would however thoroughly recommend this beautiful house and converted barn.

Family holiday

Great rural location. Both the farmhouse and barn accommodated our party of 14 very well. The house was warm and comfortable. Kitchens very well equipped. Not a large garden but enough for children to play outside. Lots to do in the area. A few things needed repairing and Gareth was immediately very helpful. The campsite is immediately next door. Great communication with Gareth and Luci, although we were sorry not to have the opportunity to meet Luci.

Hi Penny, Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review—we really appreciate it! It’s a shame Pembrokeshire’s famous blustery weather made an appearance during your stay, but we loved seeing how you all made the most of it. I’m really sorry I didn’t get the chance to meet you this time—your visit happened to coincide with a hen weekend in Spain, and I also dedicate a couple of days each week to caring for my mum. That said, I did get to say hello to one of your group on a couple of occasions, and it was lovely to hear that, despite the weather, you all enjoyed your time here and managed to explore so much of the area. Hopefully, next time you visit, the sunshine will be on your side. It goes without saying, we would absolutely love to welcome you back to Ffynnonddewi any time. Warmest wishes, Luci, Gareth & Harri

After searching for a few years we fell in love with Fynnonddewi and it's lovely rural location the moment we saw it and just knew it was the place for us.

We have only been here since November 2017, and are constantly upgrading to make your stay even more special.
We are always on hand to help whether it be issues with the cottage or information about the local area, and look forward to welcoming you to this lovely part of Pembrokeshire.

If your dates are not available please do contact us by following the "ask owner a question" link, we may still be able to help.
We very much look forward to hearing from you and welcome any questions about the property.

We fell in love with natural beauty of North Pembrokeshire and the variety of things to do. There are peaceful walks, along the coast path or the Preseli Hills, or for the more active, coasteering, sea kayaking, or surfing.
There are beaches galore, many of which allow dogs or have a dog friendly area.
The choice is yours whether it's building sandcastles or exploring rockpools and many can be deserted even in the height of summer.
There is wildlife all around whether it be seals, dolphins or those at the Folly Farm zoo.
Pembrokeshire is a birdwatchers paradise with the islands of Skomer and Skokholm being some of the most important seabird breeding sites in Europe.
We have our own share of wildlife on site too with foxes, badgers and rabbits. Autumn and winter sees large flocks of ducks on our pond, along with large flocks of lapwings in the neighbouring fields, buzzards and red kite are often seen overhead and barn, tawny and little owls hunt alongside bats at night.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We are set in rural surroundings just a couple of minutes from Solva, surrounded by 12 acres of our own land and many more beyond that. We are directly about 1.5 miles from the coast which is easily accessible via a footpath direct from the property.
The nearest road is several hundred yards away so there is no need to worry about children and traffic.

Activities can also be arranged either at the property or elsewhere or we can provide a team of caterers, should the chef of the group fancy a night off.

We also offer a discount for whole weeks booked outside of the school holidays, which is automatically applied on checkout.
