Our family spent more than a week at this lovely home. The 180-degree views of the Cascades, Camano Island, and the Olympics. One can watch the sunrise and moonrise on the water. Temperatures in August were delightful. It was in the 50's at night and 60's-72F during the day, usually with a good breeze. No AC needed! The kitchen had nice appliances that served us well to cook our meals. The kitchen table was perfect for games and puzzles, and the dining room table can handle up to 8. For those who fly in with a carry-on, the laundry room is great. The home is fun and comfortable with big sofas, comfy chairs and beds and a distinct mid-century vibe. Upstairs, a roomy living room has bay views and a wood-burning fireplace. Those who needed a quiet place to work can use the enormous downstairs living space which includes two bedrooms and a bathroom. The high bank that gives great views across the water but could be a problem for those with mobility issues. Stairs to the water allowed us to walk on the beach, collect shells and marvel at the huge driftwood. We also enjoyed watching the covey of quail, the deer, bunnies, and other birds from the deck and kitchen table. The owners have a well-planned notebook with all pertinent home information and Angele, who kindly sent more helpful travel information before our arrival. They are responsive and helpful, and we were pleased to have a chance to meet with one of the owners, Mark, who grew up in this charming home.
